Your lips can become dry and chapped for a number of reasons, which is why it is a good idea to keep a tube of lip balm handy for when your lips could use a pick me up. I recently received the chance to work with a company called Qur Life who sells two very unique tubes of lip balm. They sell a "360" balm which is a lip balm shaped like a wheel that is compact, easy to open and easy to store. The second style is the clip calm which is a slide up balm with an almost crescent shape.
Each set sells for $15 plus S&H. I recently received one of their sets to check out along with six more to use for a giveaway! They sell their lip balms of packs of two, both lip balms are a different scent/flavor and they come with a free hand sanitizer + stickers. The two pack I reviewed is the Clip Balm Uplift (Cherry Vanilla) & Rise and Grind (Lemon Coconut). You can find the pack I reviewed on their website by visiting here.
I really like how they packaged everything, the colors are nice, everything has it's own place in the set and it was fun to open. You could even be gifted to someone as a present with how nicely it is presented. They included a few little info packs on the balm and their company, a little sheet of stickers, a hand sanitizer and the two lip balms. I found that the boxes were a little difficult to pull out of their sleeves.
The hand sanitizer has eucalyptus essential oils in it which gives it a light scent that isn't over whelming and doesn't have a harsh alcohol scent. It is the perfect size to fit into the front pocket of my purse to carry around with me when I am on the go and the container is easy to open.
The balms have a clip on the back so you can clip it onto a bag, shirt, belt, etc. which makes it easy to take it with you on the go, to the gym, and more. The cap seems pretty sturdy and I don't see it coming open on accident in your bag or pocket, but it comes off easily when you go to remove it with your hand. I like the unique shape of the balm, it allows you to apply it to your lips quicker and more evenly. They smell great and they don't have a funky flavor if you happen to lick your lips.
The lip balm itself is nice, I didn't feel like it was waxy or greasy, instead it was a nice smooth consistency. It leaves your lips feeling relieved and moisturized. Both of my kids enjoy using these, I gave the pink one to my daughter and the green to my son. It is easy for them to slide the balm up and down, without the slider getting stuck.
Prize Alert: Six winners are going to win a balm duo like the one I received. You will receive a random set.
When my June Ipsy bag didn't arrive until July, I wasn't a hundred percent sure if I'd get my July bag this month or next. So I was happy when it showed up yesterday on time! Although, there was still an error, I had signed up last month for a free trial month of their new Refreshments line, it was supposed to ship this month and arrive with my glam bag, but thus far it hasn't even shipped. Ipsy has it's ups and downs, so it is good to weigh the pros and cons before deciding to sign up for a subscription. For $12 a month you get a bag and five to six sample sized makeup products. Personally, I think it is a fun way to treat yourself to mail that isn't bills or junk and a neat way to find new brands to love. I generally don't do it every month, I usually get a bag every other month or sometimes I won't get it for a few months so it works well with your budgeting and can be adjusted or cancelled when you don't want it.
The bag for this month is a golden glittery bag that says "Stay Golden", I like that this months bag only had a small "Ipsy" logo on the back and I think the zipper pull is pretty adorable. The products I received this month also went along with the whole golden theme. In total I received five products in my bag.
Items can be a hit or miss, even if you have your profile settings set exactly how you want them, you may end up with more liner than you need or too many face care items. The good thing is that even if you don't like everything, you can always gift them to someone who will love them. If I end up with something I won't use or already have too many of I like using them towards giveaway bundles and putting together gift baskets for birthdays/holidays for loved ones. Let's dive into what was in this month's bag starting with my choice item that I selected.
Which of the items above would you be most excited to try? Drop a comment below & let me know. 💜
* This is not a sponsored post, I am just sharing thoughts on a subscription I like getting sometimes.
Candles are a great way to help fill your room and house with scents that keep you calm, make you smile and can even remind you of different people or places. Chi Candle sells a wide range of book, floral and state inspired candles. Did you grow up in Washington, but had to move to Texas and miss home you can order a candle inspired by your home state.
I was recently sent three of their candles to sniff and use for a product review. You can buy a 8oz, 8.5oz or 11oz candle from their site starting at $15 each. The three candles I received were a surprise, all of them were preselected. Let's get into what I found in my box:
Golden Coastline - This candle is inspired by California. It has notes of Redwood, grapefruit, fresh oranges, jasmine, musk and sea salt air. I really like this candle, the orange notes and jasmine combined really well together, it has a bit of a sweet scent and it does remind me of a shop in Northern AZ that sells an assortment of spiritual things like stones, incense, etc. I think this candle would be great to lit shortly before guests arrive to your home, it will help give it a fresh and welcoming aroma that is sure to have them asking where you purchased the candle from.
Midnight Sun - This is their Alaska inspired candle. I've never been to Alaska, but I have always wanted to go so I was excited to see what this smells like. It is inspired by Mountain spruce, winter frost, snowdrops and fresh air. To me it smells like camping in the winter months, it reminds me of how pine trees smell after it has rained. It is calming and has a fresh aroma to it, I think this would be a nice one to light while relaxing in the bathtub with some music on.
New Book Pages - As you can guess this candle is inspired by the way a new book smells when you open it up and take that first breath of it's unread pages. This has notes of ambered glue, fresh ink and paper (cedar wood,/driftwood). The scent on this one is a bit interesting, if you smell the candle directly in the jar it reminds me of a mixture of a new book and pool water. It isn't a bad smell but at first can be a little strong, however after you lit the wick and let the wax slowly melt it disperses it nicely so you get the intended smell. I want to check out their Old book candle, I like how new books smell but nothing beats an old book from a used bookstore.
It is no secret that it has been pretty hot this summer, here in Arizona we are used to it, however many states experiencing heat waves aren't used to it. So to beat the heat many families have been staying inside to stay cool, which means finding more ways to help kids stayed entertained indoors. Painting, Crafts, Coloring and hands on projects have always been favorable activities for my kids which is why we loved Horizon Group USA. They have dozens of activates for kids (and adults) to do that keep your hands and mind busy. If you are a new follower and are unaware, I am a Giveaway Guru with the Horizon Group USA influencer team, so not only do I get to share their great products with you through reviews, I also get to giveaway products as well!
Today I am going to be covering a product from their Made by Me! line, this time I received the Paint your own Jungle Figurines. It can be purchased on a number of sites including amazon for $7.99 along with other figure shapes. The set comes with a set of paint, a paint brush and two figures - one is a monkey and the other is a lion. We also received a set of twelve paints to use on our figures.
Both figures are about the size of your palm, the lion was actually slightly larger than I thought it would be. This time around since there were two figures, I decided to paint one with my son, I love adorable monkeys so I claimed it as mine and he did the lion.
I found that the material these are made out of wanted to absorb the paint, so depending on the color you are wanting to use I would recommend adding a second or third coat to get the color you desire. Out of the two the monkey has the most details in the fur and face, it even has little toe nails on the toes where the lion is more simple with a crazy mane and tail but no big details along the body or paws.
After getting the base paint down on the monkey I decided to try out doing a Mandala technique, I honestly had no idea what I was doing and I know it doesn't look how the style normally does but I am happy with how it turned out. It took a lot longer to do than I thought as well but it was worth it.
Tuft & Paw sells a variety of awesome products for your cat ranging from fancy kitty litter boxes to comfy beds and scratching posts. For my review I was able to take a look at the cat beds and determine which I thought would benefit my cat the most. At first I thought I might go with the puff which he could lay in yet still have support, but thinking about how large he is and that he generally sleeps sprawled out I ultimately decided on the Kip Cushion in black (it also comes in white), it comes in three different sizes so I went with wide which is recommended for cats over 12lbs. Aleister is a very large cat, he is both lanky and weighs about 14lbs.
Right out of the box I could tell this cat bed was impressive and made with the best intentions in mind for your pet. It is heavy duty, quite cushioned and made with a soft material that is easy to run a lint roller over (or the vacuum) if it gets too hairy. Not going to lie, it is pretty comfy even for humans, How do I know? One of the days the cats weren't using it so I decided to see how comfy it was and sat on it for a short period while playing a video game, and can vouch that it is comfortable.
I like that the bed has a concave inside, because it allows him to stretch out while still keeping his head elevated to relieved the issues he has.
My big guy does spend a little time in the bed when it is near me so I usually carry it out of the bedroom and into the living room during the day. I was pretty surprised with how much our small little Bones enjoys laying in it, she often goes over and sits in it even if it is only for a short period of time, she looks so small in the bed compared to him hogging most of the space. Our cats are a little spoiled, you can see in the first image above that my daughter made a small pillow for the cat bed.
Do you have any pets? Tell me in the comments below what type of pets you have. If you have cats I suggest heading over to the Tuft and Paw site to see what they have to offer your cat. If you pop over to This instagram post you can see a short clip of Aleister trying out his new bed for the first time after it arrived in the mail.

Summer can get quite hot in Arizona so it is nice to have shoes that are breathable and help keep your feet cool when the temperatures are rising. I normally stick with plain black sandals or shoes, but it is always nice to add a pair of shoes that are bright and fun to pair with different outfits. When I was presented with the opportunity to work with Uinfootwear on a review of their shoes I couldn't refuse, the biggest problem was deciding which pair I liked best.
They have a lot of interesting deigns from some that have subtle patterns to POW in your face designs, after looking through what they had to offer that ships to the US I decided to go with the Cubic butterfly design. Their shoes retail for $70-$120 depending on the style and design, however you can often find deals on their website or you can use code NOOKUIN to get $5 off of your order if you are looking for a better deal.
Their shoes come in eight different womens sizes, I typically wear a nine or a nine and a half depending on the shoe brand. To be on the safe size I went with a size nine, however after receiving the shoes I realized they run a bit large so I wish I would have gone with a 8.5 instead.
The shoe is made from a super light weight canvas, it is quite flexible and flows smoothly with the motion of your steps along with the cushy ortholite insoles. The bottom of the shoes have a neat spherical water-ripple that is meant to add extra support and cushion. I think this would be a great pair of shoes to toss into my luggage to take with on our mini road trips to explore our home state. The overall support is good, I wore these on a trip to the store and to walk around and the soles of my feet were comfortable the entire time.
These shoes are so light you can almost forget that you are wearing them, they are easy to slip on and off without any hassle so it is perfect for if you're in a rush to get out the door you can slip these on and go. They do help keep my feet cool while wearing them, my only issue is like I mentioned above that they are slightly large so they rub the back of my heels a bit. I have some small gel cushions in them at the moment, but they keep falling down so I need to look for a better heel support to prevent blisters. Width wise they are great, the bit of black you see in the photo above is just my half socks not extra space between the show and my foot. The rounded ballet shape where your toes go gives your tootsies plenty of space without being squashed up against one another.
If the ballet shape isn't your style or you want a pair of shoes you can wear full socks with they have plenty of other options available over on their site.

Sometimes I like to treat myself to a month or two of Ipsy bags when I am looking for new products, I always think it is a win-win because I end up with new items I like or if I end up with doubles of something I can use it in my monthly Beauty & The Book Giveaway. My June bag just now arrived today July 7th, so it is a bit late, but better late than never right?
Let's get started with the review shall we? The bag this month is alright, the bag seems sturdy and is a cute color, however I know I would love their bags so much more if every one of them didn't have a giant "IPSY" logo somewhere on the bag, I would much prefer if they left that for the zipper pull and the tag on the inside. Though I do have to say I love how cute the zipper on this bag is because it is a rainbow zipper.
Inside of my bag I found:
❤ Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional: Super Setter Pore-Minimizing Setting Spray. I do enjoy this brand so it is nice to see them pop up in my bags from time to time. I haven't personally tried this specific spray, and though I enjoy the brand I have a few other similar products thus have no need for this and will be including it in next month's beauty and the book giveaway.
❤ CLIV Max Hyaluronic Propolis Foaming Cleanser. I am looking forward to trying this out, I love foaming cleaners and I hope this is a decent one to use. The sample size is great, I will be able to get several uses from this once I open it.
❤ Tarte Lash Paint Mascara. Another great brand and product! I have waaaay more mascaras than I need for my own good so I will also be putting this into one of my giveaways.
❤ Context Skin Nude Balm in clear matte. I've never heard of this brand before so this is something that is completely new to me, I have a lip balm I am in love with at the moment that has been keeping my lips looking soft and moisturized so I am on the fence on whether I will use this or not.
❤ The Creme Shop Essence Infused Sheet Mask Duo in Rose Water & B12 Complex. I've heard great things about this brand and I was very excited to find not one but two masks in this month's bag.
So in total there were six items included in this bag, three I will be keeping, two will be used for blog giveaways and the last item I am unsure about. Not bad for $12 a month, some bags I love everything, sometimes you don't. I would give the June bag a 3 out of 5 Moons.
What kind of products do you like, or dislike getting in your Ipsy bags? Have you ever tried out a subscription to Ipsy?
In recent years natural skincare has become more popular, not only because it is better for your skin, but also because it usually means it is vegan! I recently came across a company called Mad Hippie, that I was initially drawn to because I enjoy how their product packaging looks. They offer a number of different products which address a number of skin issues, plus they have a makeup line which is wonderful for those who are allergic to some of the harsh chemicals in other makeup. For my review the Mad Hippie representative I am working with asked me to provided her with some of my skincare concerns and then sent me a few products based off of that. In total I received three skincare products and three makeup products along with some sample packets, which I will use for a giveaway at the bottom of this post.
In total for my review I received three skincare products and three makeup products, plus some sample sizes of their other products and a reusable bag. Everything was packaged so nicely, the tissue paper matched their product packaging and inside of each skincare product is a sample of a different skincare product as a bonus gift. I will go over a little information about the product, and how my experience has been with it thus far.
Vitamin C Serum (Retail $39.99) - The main four ingredients in this serum are vitamin C (of course), vitamin E, Ferulic Acid and Konjac Root. This serum helps rejuvenate skin while providing a more even/bright skin tone while also offering antioxidant support. It has a mild floral scent that isn't overwhelming and just a few drops spreads out evenly covering a lot of space. I've been using this on part of my face that gets irritated from where my mask sits and on a tattoo that I have on my leg to see if it helps bring the colors out again. I have noticed that it has been helping my skin look better in the areas I've been using it, the tattoo I have been using it on has been looking slightly richer in color because my skin isn't so dry and is getting an extra boost from the ingredients in this.
Exfoliating Serum (Retail $34.99) - The main ingredients in the exfoliating serum are apple stem cells, gigawhite, lactic acid and glycolic acid to help smooth and brighten your skin and helping with discoloration. When I first opened this I thought it would be more of a cleansing face wash, however it isn't, it is actually a serum they suggest to use in the evening following your normal skincare routine. This one I haven't used as much as the other two, it smells lovely however I have another nighttime product I need to finish using before I continue using this and my face isn't quite used to using products with acids in them so it causes a slight burning sensation.
Cleansing Oil (Retail $17.99) - This product features organic pumpkin seed oil, organic rosehip oil, ginger and organic sunflower oil. I think that this smells like watermelon, I checked the ingredients list and it does say it has fruit oil however I am not sure if that is what provides it with its scent. Using this is interesting, I've never used a cleaning oil before this. It is slightly thick, but covers your entire face with two pumps of the bottle, after applying it is best to place a warm washcloth over your face until it cools down to remove it and gently wipe your face off with it after. I highly suggest following the directions on the bottle for the best results, since it is an oil it won't rinse off with just water. The hand towel helps absorb a little of it along with wiping your face off after, otherwise your face might be a little too oily for your liking. It leaves my skin feeling clean, cool and soft to the touch after using it, acne wise I can't say I've notice a difference as I have always had a bit of issues with tiny black heads on my nose and haven't noticed an improvement after using this.
Mascara (Retail $19) - This formula is created to be non-flaking, smooth finishing and buildable with lash-lengthening peptides. This is a little thinner than other mascaras I've tried formula wise so it helps prevent your eyelashes from becoming clumpy, and the brush provided is nice it holds just the right amount and helps spread your eyelashes while applying a coat of mascara. I have decently long eyelashes as is, so I don't see a huge different in lash length when using this, however it does help make them slightly darker while giving a natural look, and yes it does build up well. It applies evenly, and quickly it is perfect for when you are in a hurry before work or going out. At the end of the night it washes off without any issues or black smudges that you have to re-clean off.
Eye Pencil (Retail $15) - First I want to say the pencil is so neat, it is made from bamboo and it oddly smells good. The pencils are mineral pigment based, with no synthetic dyes or waxes. I was able to test out the colors Black and Burnt Gold, both of which are highly pigmented and apply softly, smoothly and evenly. The burnt gold is nice if you blend it out a little otherwise it looks like a brown. I like wearing just a little of it when I head into work, I wake up pretty early so I don't do all of my makeup, but sometimes it is nice just to thrown on a little liner and mascara.
Overall I am enjoying these products, I might end up passing the exfoliating serum onto a friend whom I know will use it just so it isn't sitting on my shelf until I am ready to use it. Along with their products the packaging is also vegan and ecofriendly, made from sustainable materials, plus how cute are the designs printed on the packaging? I am also loving the reusable bag they sent with everything, I try to use reusable bags as often as I can at the store to help reduce the amount of plastic waste coming into my home.

As you can probably tell from previous posts, I love the Earthly Body brand and it's various branches of brands. Today I am sharing two great products from their Hemp Seed line. The first product I will be talking about is their Miracle Oil, it is 100% natural, vegan and cruelty free. It's main ingredients are tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil, rosemary leaf oil, soybean oil along with avocado, apricot and hemp oils to bring you a product meant to help keep your skin moisturized, nourished and protected.
