Dolphinaris AZ Tour!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions are used (both good and bad), they are solely my own & they may vary from others. I received a tour and will be receiving four tickets for promotional purposes which has been provided by Dolphinaris Arizona & USFamilyGuide for the review free of charge.**

Seeing as how I live in the middle of a state that is primarily desert you wouldn't think we would have the chance to see a Dolphin unless we traveled to the sea or to Seaworld but you'd be wrong!  Dolphinaris Arizona not only offers a chance for you to see dolphins but they give you the opportunity to interact with the dolphins through one of their programs. I received a wonderful chance to bring my kids to go on a tour of the facility to check everything out and learn more about their facility.

During our tour we were able to learn about the start of Dolphinaris and where they received their dolphins from while we were standing near the pools watching the dolphins swim. We were able to view where they store the toys and food they feed the dolphins, each dolphin eats 25lbs of fish per day that is customized to their specific diets and they get daily enrichment to help keep them healthy and active. The fish is gone through each morning by hand to check for imperfections in the fish, if there are any imperfections the fish gets tossed out because they only feed the dolphins the best of the best. There is an on site vet that checks them out daily to make sure they are in top health!

They have four different pool areas for the dolphins which can be sectioned off by gates, three of the pools are outdoors and one is in doors which allows them a place to go during dust storms and when it is nasty out. Each of the out door sections has a different purpose for the different experiences they offer which range from standing next to the pool and being able to touch the dolphins to getting completely in the pool but I will go more into that on my next review of this facility.

As an added bonus for those looking for more to do during their trip to Dolphinaris can purchase an upgraded experience which includes admission into the Beach club area. The beach club is a section where they have a heated pool directly next to one of the pools so you can see the dolphins swimming and they can see you as well through the glass. If you don't want in the pool then there are two hot tubs, multiple seating areas and a bar/grill you can visit plus they have lockers and showers for you to use while there.

During this visit we were not able to touch or interact with the dolphins, the purpose of this trip was just to take a bit of a behind the scenes look which was a great learning trip for the kids. We will be coming back at a later date to interact with the dolphins and I will do into further detail on all of the experiences they offer.

Want to give your child a summer to remember? Head over to the Dolphinaris website to check out the summer camps they are offering which even includes a T-shirt that has been custom painted by one of the dolphins.

Before we left the tour we were present with a dolphin show! You can see a short clip Here on my Instagram or view a longer video Here on my Youtube page.

Zedtown 4 Pack Ticket Giveaway!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions are used (both good and bad), they are solely my own & they may vary from others. I will be receiving four tickets for promotional purposes along with four tickets for a giveaway which have been provided by Zedtown for the review & giveaway free of charge.**

Zedtown is a four hour event featuring Nerf guns and zombies! It is described as a mixture between a color run and call of duty. Everyone starts off as a Survivor, although if being a zombie right off the bat is your thing they offer a limited number of zombie tickets as well. There are three factions to select from when purchasing your ticket which will determine where you start and who you start off with.

The factions will have a turf war so to speak while also fending off zombies. Once you are 'bitten' by a zombie you head over to a zombie station to become a zombie yourself and head back out into the game in your new role.

How do you know what to do or where to go? Unique characters give you quests, a call-in radio station gives tips, and they provide an app that tracks your achievements. Each player works with their squad to make it to the final stand for survival.  In order to participate you will need to provide your own Nerf guns and ammo for the game.

They are heading to Phoenix on April 21st & April 22nd, the event will be held at Rawhide which is located at 5700 W North Loop Rd, Chandler, AZ 85226. Survivor tickets are $25 and Zombie tickets are $30 or you can purchase a special VIP ticket for $90 which includes a bunch of extra goodies in-game and to take home.

You can use code Burningmoon to get Buy One Get One Free tickets! (Note: This code may not be active just yet, I will update this once I get confirmation on it going live.)

Prize Alert: One lucky Arizona reader is going to win a Four pack of tickets to this event!

This is open to Arizona  residents!! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. TownleyGirl Vampirina Review & Giveaway!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by TownleyGirl for the review & giveaway free of charge.**

TownleyGirl has become one of my daughter's favorite brands because they offer a great selection of kids products with themes of popular cartoon characters. I was recently sent a set of their Vampirina products to review and they are pretty darn adorable, Let's get into what was in the box! (Pssst. almost all of the products they offer retail for less than ten dollars)

Vampirina Lip Balm 5 pack with Tin (Retail Value $7.99) -  This lip balm set comes with five different flavored lip balms which each feature their own character from the show and glitter cap that goes with the flavor of the lip balm. It also includes a cute collectable tin that has a shimmery Vampirina image on it. The tin comes with a plastic holder for the lip balms that you can either keep or toss depending on your preference. The lip balms aren't bad, they don't really have a flavor but they do have a fruity scent that smells sweet (except for the grape, that one smells odd). The lip balms are clear but it does give your lips a bit of a shimmer due to the sparkles they add. When the lip balms are gone you can use the tin for storing money, jewelry or other small treasures.

Vampirina 2 Pack Lip Tube with purse & Clips (Retail Value $4.99) - I love the coin purse that came included with this set, it is well made and holds quite a bit. The lip glosses I don't really like because the formula is a bit thick for my liking otherwise it does give your lips a great shine and you only need a small amount. The clips have a plastic coating over the clip which makes it to where it won't pull on hair when being removed which I am sure a lot of little girls will be thankful for (who likes having their hair pulled out? I know I don't).

Vampirina 12 Piece Press-On Nails (Retail Value $3.99) -  I personally loved fake nails because I don't always have time to paint my nails, plus I am not the best at creating cute designs so having it already done is a big plus. My daughter has asked in the past for press-on nails but most of the fake nails you find in the store are sized for adult fingers, so as you can imagine she was excited about seeing these in the box. We haven't used them yet but they seem well made and each one has a different image on it.

Vampirina Super Sparkly 4 pack nail polish with nail file (Retail Value $7.99) - TownlyGirl nail polish is a favorite of both my daughter and myself because they always have vibrant fun colors. The formula used is slightly thin so you'll need two coats to reach the same color shown in the bottle but it goes on smoothly and doesn't have the harsh chemical smell that a lot of store brand polishes have. The polish also dries quickly which is a must for children who aren't able to sit still long enough for traditional nail polish to dry. One of my favorite things about this nail set and the nightmare before Christmas sets is that the polish comes in adorable coffin shaped bottles!!!

Vampirina Lip gloss/balm key chain (Retail Value $2.99) - Included on this key chain is a squishy plastic/foam Vampirina character along with a lip balm plus two lip glosses. The lip glosses we aren't a big fan of mainly because it is a bit thick and the glitter in the one makes your lips feel grainy but we like the lip balm itself and my daughter loves the key chain as a whole. As you can see she has a collection of Key chains growing on her school bag so this one fits in perfectly.

PRIZE ALERT:
One lucky winner is going to win their own Vampirina gift set!

This is open to US & Canadian residents!! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

Farewell to Parragon Books.

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by PaRragon for the review free of charge.**

This will sadly be my last post for the book buddies program with the company PaRragon books. I recently received a farewell email letting the reviewers who have worked with them know that PaRragon will be closing it's doors in the U.S which means the book buddies program will be ending as well. However they do still have locations in Europe, Asia, Australia and India if you live in those locations you will still be able to purchase books through them.

Knowing the company is closing in the U.S is a bit heart breaking for me, I've always been a big book worm. I remember reading often as a child and loved going to the book store with my grandma when I was young, I've always made sure that my kids enjoy reading as well. PaRragon has a great selection of books suited for every age so it is a bit sad to see them go. Any how let's get onto the goodies that were in the last box.

The last box I received was given a space theme and encouraged you to reach for the stars and follow your dreams. The first two books in the box are from their new Stem Stars Series by Discovery and the titles are as follows;

Women Who Rocked Space (Retail Value $4.99) - This book tells you about nineteen wonderful women who all contributed to astronomy in one way or another. Each women has a two page layout that tells the reader a bit about each women along with what they contributed and it features their photo. This is a great book not only for little girls but for young boys as well, my daughter is a curious learner and she knows a lot of the big male names when it comes to astronomy and the space program but doesn't know any of the women (neither did I to be honest) so this is a nice book to have.

Women Who Rocked Medicine (Retail Value $4.99) - Just like the Women who rocked space this book is all about many of the women who made an impact in the medical field. This book features another nineteen women who made various contributions to medicine such as Florence Nightingale and  Virginia Apgar. Each lovely lady has two pages with her story, a photo if one was available and what they did for the medical field.

Dream You'll Be (Retail Value $9.99) - This is a rather cute bedtime rhyme book which goes over a variety of things your child might dream about becoming from a superhero or a pirate to a vet or school teacher but at the end it let's them know what no matter what they dream of being that they are already the most important thing to you the parent reading the book. I think all of the illustration in this book are fun, eye catching and charming they are quite colorful and drawn in a soft manner so everything flows well.

The Learnalots Preschool Thinking Skills (Retail Value $3.99) - My son is starting kindergarten this year and although he already knows everything this book covers this will be a good book to do a bit of work in daily to give him a re-fresh course to make sure he is ready for school and it will give us some one on one time while my daughter is doing her homework. It includes two pages of stickers as well to be used as rewards!

Bountiful Bowls (Retail Value $12.99) - While this book isn't related to space it is technically related towards goals of being healthier since it features dozens of recipes for different food bowls that use fresh ingredients like avocado, grapes, cabbage, lettuce and more. All of the recipes give you a list of ingredients for the bowl and any dressings you may need plus step by step instructions on how to make the bowl and a photo of each completed bowl. There are a lot of great bowls in this book, I look forward to trying some of them out.

Kids Fest at the Odysea Aquarium!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. I received four tickets to the Kids Fest + a gift card to Sugar Drop from the Odysea Aquarium in exchange for the promotional post below featuring the event.**

My family loves to get out of the house so I am constantly on the search for events and activities in our area that are family friendly. At the moment the OdySea Aquarium out in Scottsdale is hosting a Kids Fest event which started on March 10th and runs until March 25th. The event is included in the cost of admission into the aquarium (note that Butterfly Wonderland, etc are separate experiences and are not included with the aquarium ticket). My family and I had the chance to go see not only the Kids Fest but the aquarium as well yesterday morning and it was quite a fun experience.

When we went we had a few family members meet up with us that wanted to check out the aquarium as well. We ran into a tiny problem at the ticket booth but the employees were very helpful and resolved everything quickly so we headed into the aquarium. The kids got a big kick out of the bathrooms when you first come in on the bottom floor because there was a view into the shark tank! (sorry no photos, I was at the ticket booth and didn't know about the sharks until after we left, but the kids went with their grandma to see them). From the time you enter the front lobby of the aquarium until the time you leave there are fish to look at and things to do along with plenty of space to view everything without feeling crowded or uncomfortable.

The scavenger hunt for the Kids Fest began in the first aquarium room with clue #1 being shown on a projector screen near the Sturgeon touching tank. Speaking of touching tanks they also had opportunities for the kids to touch other sea creatures as well and they provided both hand sanitizer and hand washing stations. There were other activities as well along the aquarium tour for all the kids to interact with including a big projector showing touch ap games on the floor that the kids could run/walk across to pop bubbles and such. One of the things I was excited about was being able to see a penguin paint a picture! It was very adorable and a unique experience that everyone should try out at least once. They also had Elsa come visit the kids to take photos and do meet and greets.

Along with different touching stations and activities they had not only a wide range of wish to see but they also offered bugs, otters, tropical birds and there is a toe-toed sloth (for a limited time as part of their ambassador animal program). We sadly didn't get to see the otters this time as they were all in the back corner of the enclosure but we hope to see them next time. I've already gone over quite a bit, but there couldn't be more could there? Oh yes there is! Everything I just described was on the second floor of the facility, you eventually reach and end point where you have to take an escalator or an elevator back down to the first floor. If you have the escalator you'll be taken through part of a over head tunnel where the fish swim above you.

Moving along the tour you'll walk through a second tunnel of fish where you can stop and watch them swim from one side to the other directly above your head. Towards the end of when the aquarium walk through comes to a finish you'll end up at the OdySea Voyager! If it currently is on a sea adventure you'll have to stand in line for a short trip before boarding the ship. What is the OdySea Voyager? It is a neat auditorium room that is stationed on a track and it rotates a full 360 degrees stopping at different "stations" along the way, the entire experience takes about twenty two minutes and you'll see four different aquarium tanks with different sea creatures such as sharks and sea turtles. Following the voyage there will be another short walking distance of tanks before reaching the end where you'll go back up to the second floor and pop out in the gift shop.

We were all amazed at how many shops & restaurants were on this property along with all of the experiences offered. The newest addition to their shopping area is a candy shop called Sugar Drop and they have a lovely selection of sweets and other fun trinkets for purchase, even I saw several things I wanted to get. My kids both ended up picking a large rainbow lollipop with a stuffed animal attached and I grabbed a cow tail and a few circus candy canes. All in all the entire experience was a lot of fun and it wasn't even everything they have to offer there! They also sell tickets for behind the scenes tours of the Shark bay, Penguin feeding/meetings, and more which we hope to check out in the future. If you are in Arizona you should come check out this event and aquarium it is well worth the trip!

Kidtopia 2018!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. I received four tickets to the Kidtopia 2018 through Entercom Communications in exchange for the promotional post below featuring the newest section of this center.**

Sometimes in the morning on the way to work if I am not listening to my MP3 player I enjoy listening to 94.5 Kool FM and for the last week or so I've been listening to them more and heard them talking about an event catered completely to kids for kids. My kids were very excited when I told them we were going to be headed out to the Kidtopia event today March 10th! The event was held at the Gilbert Civic Center out in Gilbert,AZ so it was about an hours drive for us but the kids didn't mind. The event was outside and the weather today was absolutely perfect for this event.

Once we started getting closer to the civic center the event was very easy to spot because they had a long row of giant inflatables and amusement park rides set up so we knew exactly where to go. The parking lot was easy to manage and we found a spot right away which was nice since we arrive about an hour after it started. Entrance was a breeze as well, they did a bag check and a wand check then we were on our way to having fun. They had dozens of sponsor tents set up for local businesses and brands that signed up for the event, some had crafting tables, others had spinning wheels where you could win prizes. My kids had a lot of fun with the spinning wheels because you never know what you might win!

Along with some smaller craft tables they also had one big crafting area, a dance zone, selfie galleries,  food trucks, games and more for the kids to enjoy. A few special guest starts such as In Real Life and Evie Clair stopped by to perform for the crowd and everything was set up pretty well allowing plenty of space for everyone to move around while enjoying the festivities.

I really like that they made this event suited for kids of all ages, there was something for each age group to do and enjoy plus they had some fun characters there (Spiderman & Elsa) visiting with the kids and taking pictures. It was also nice that all of the rides and activities were free to do with the entry ticket instead of having to pay to get in and then paying again for rides and games. Everyone was really friendly and helpful if you needed anything, I thought as a whole this was a great family related event to attend. I hope they decide to do another Kidtopia event next year and I look forward to seeing what it has to offer!

Did you know Chewy.com sells books?

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own and they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Chewy.com for the review free of charge.**

If you are a big TV watcher I am sure you've seen at least one Chewy.com commercial and know that they are a great place to shop for pet products. Aside from pet food, medications and more did you know that they also carry a selection of animal related books? You can find animal coloring books, pet training books and more.

Up until recently I didn't know they sold books either until I was offered an opportunity to review The Sibley Guide to Birds - Second Edition by David Allen Sibley. If you've seen my nature inspired Instagram (@Lunas_Enchanting_Adventures) then you know I love taking photos of birds, but I don't always know what the breed of bird I am photographing is. I have a smaller bird guide but due to migration patterns there has been a time or two I couldn't find the bird I photographed in the book so when I saw this book includes over 600 pages of birds I knew I had to have this in my collection.

This book is thick as you can tell from the photo above, the cover is in between a soft and hard cover.  All of the images included in this book are beautiful paintings digitally remastered from original art for enhanced print quality and have great coloring. I like the amount of information this book provides, I do wish however that instead of being sorted alphabetically that it was sorted by bird color to help narrowing down breeds easier. Over all I am very pleased with this book! It can be purchased through Chewy.com for $19.20 and shipping is fast.
