As you may have noticed this month's Beauty and the Book Giveaway has a different name shown above, May is my birthday month so for the monthly giveaway I like hosting I decided to make this months theme "These are a few of my favorite things". I have picked up some of my favorite products and some products from some of my favorite brands to giveaway to one of my readers! The retail value for this giveaway is over $100.
Usually I buy everything that goes into these giveaways as a Thank you to all of my readers, however from time to time one of the brands I've worked with and have really enjoyed will donate an item or two towards this giveaway. This month Earthly Body has donated a hair care product from their Marrakesh line.
So what is included in this month's giveaway and why? Let's dive into the what and why.
💙 The book for this month is "A book of spirits and thieves" by Morgan Rhodes. I absolutely love her Falling Kingdoms series. I usually don't have a lot of free time to spend reading, it seems like there is always something else to do and I have a gigantic stack of "To read" books in my room waiting to be read. However with that said, I love this series enough I stayed up late to read it even if I were tired at work the next day because I couldn't put them down. After reading them I learned she had other books as well so I am working on getting those. So to get you into her books I grabbed an extra copy for this giveaway.
💙 Eye shadows & Liners - I own a ton of eye shadow, and that doesn't stop me from getting more. I especially love eye shadow that is a bright color or has glitter so I've included three different eye shadow products. You will receive a NYX foil mini palette, a Wet N Wild Amethyst trio and a sparkly shadow from Urban Decay. The L.A Colors tattoo stamp pens are a lot of fun and useful for those who aren't skilled at free hand drawing stars, moons and more with eye liner. You simply press it to your skin and it leaves behind a little stamp of the image it features. I have the moon and stars and will be giving away a Moon shaped stamper for this giveaway.
💙 NYX - This is an amazing and affordable brand, I have their eye shadows, lip stick, eye liner and more so I included eye shadow and lipstick from them.
💙 Makeup Brushes - Much like my eye shadow, I own too many makeup brushes for my own good! My husband had bought me a set of Harry Potter wand brushes that I always enjoy using so I wanted to get a set to include in this giveaway.
💙 Marrakesh - There are so many items that I love from this brand including a masque I recently test out and fell in love with (will be sharing info about it soon), I they had to be included! When I get the free time I enjoy making my nails look nice, one of my favorite polish colors is by Color Club so the winner will be getting one of their polishes.
💙 Skincare - I wasn't always huge into skincare which was a mistake, over the last two years I've been working on trying to take better care of my skin. I like the Tarte drink of H2O because it is gentle on my skin and works well, and Neutrogena makes some fantastic masks so you'll be getting some of those products as well.

And that about covers everything! Birthday wise I had a lovely day, I did have to work but it went by quickly. Afterwards I picked up my free drink from Starbucks and my best friend sent me a gift card for another during the work week then I had dinner with my family and relaxed playing video games late into the night.
