Pogo Pass Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Pogo Pass for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

When summer hits and the kids are out of school we are always looking for family friendly activities to do together that don't cost an arm and a leg, but that can sometimes be a difficult feat. I recently found out about a company called Pogo Pass who offers what is essentially a city fun pass for select cities. Currently they offer passes for Phoenix,Az -Tuscon,Az - Austin/Waco,TX - Dallas/Ft. Worth,TX - San Antonio, TX and Las Vegas, NV. I received two passes in exchange for this post, I personally haven't been able to make it out to any of the venues yet but will make another post when I do to let you know how easy it was to use the pass.

What does the Pogo Pass offer? Each city has different sponsors that allow a certain amount of visits with your Pogo Pass that help save you money on being able to go out and do fun activities either by yourself, with friends or with your family. Normally Pogo Passes are $124.95 but if you use the promo code Burningmoon you will get 60% off and it will only cost $49.98 per pass which is an amazing deal for everything that is offered. Shown above is the Phoenix,AZ pass and what it has to offer and below is the Austin/Waco,TX pass.

Each venue or sponsor that is affiliated with Pogo Pass will have a set limit of visits or games you can redeem using your pass, for example the Phoenix Zoo offers pass holders two visits to the zoo (which is normally $24.95 per adult/visit) while Fat Cats bowling alley offers you one game of bowling per week using your pass. You will save at least $200 if not more using this pass to visit all of the venues listed, many of the passes also include sporting events like two Arizona Rattlers games. We plan on taking our kids to several of the venues listed on the Phoenix pass, just to name a few if did not use both allowed visits for the Phoenix Zoo, Makutus Island and Enchanted Island it would cost us $362 for the four of us to attend, but if we bought four Pogo Passes it would only come out to $200 so just right there we would be saving $162 and that doesn't include all of the other venues listed.

A pass covers only a single person so you will need to buy one for everyone in your family if you plan on taking your kids to the different activities listed on the pass and you will need your ID with you when you use your pass because all the passes include your name.  Each pass is good for one calendar year from your date of purchase and the passes are nontransferable. You can log onto your Pogo Pass account to keep track of how many visits you still have left of each venue which I think is pretty handy to have. Your passes can be printed out or you can show them your phone.

Prize Alert:
One lucky winner is going to win One pass to any of the available cities!

This is open to the City/States listed above. Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

MysteryBeautyBag.com Reivew!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by MysteryBeautyBag.com for the review free of charge.****

Subscription box companies can never be sure the exact number of subscriptions they will get each month, so to prevent themselves from not having enough of each product to go into the box it only makes sense that they would buy in bulk. So what do subscription boxes do with all of their leftover goods? One of the companies I've reviewed in the past called TomBoxes decided to start a small sub single box service where they would provide boxes with all of the left over products from their main website. Each box comes with 10 makeup or beauty products that range in price from $5 in value up to $21-$30 in value for just $19 a box.

The box I received came with a Manna Kadar bronzer ($21 value), 24k Gold-plated tweezers ($12) value, Beauty Solutions anti-wrinkle retinol serum ($9 value), A blue retractable kabuki brush ($9 value), Palladio seashell baked eye shadow trio ($8 value) and five grab-bag beauty items which included three lip products, a bath salt bag and a eye liner. Everything was packaged nicely so nothing broke while in transit which was surprising because of the bronzer and blush which are both breakable. For $19 for a single box I would say this is a pretty good deal, over all I am very happy with the selection of products I received and think they added a nice range of products. They also offer an 'upgrade' where they will include three mystery jewelry items for an additional $5. They have a promotion on their page where you can share their site in order to get your box for only $9.50! So if you are on a budget but enjoy testing out new makeup this box is perfect for you.

Mantry Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Mantry for the review  free of charge.****

Some guys can be a real pain in the butt to shop for especially if you don't know them well, but one thing almost everyone can agree on that they like is food. So why not purchase them a box from Mantry which is a men's inspired food subscription box. What I like about this box that sets it apart from other "snack" type subscription's is that this isn't a snack box, yes from time to time it does come with what would be considered a snack item but it also comes with products that you can use while cooking.

Each box comes inside a small wooden crate with packing filler to keep everything in place and prevent any glass products from breaking. I like that the package is nice to either reuse for another purpose or you can easily take it apart to dispose of it. I haven't quite figured out what I would like to use it for yet, but I will think of something. So let's get down to the meat of the review shall we? The box we received for my fiance to review came with the following products: Pink House Alchemy Sarsparilla syrup, Granola Jones spice-a-delic granola, Fox point farm goat milk caramels, a Raaka chocolate bourbon cask aged chocolate bar,Red Clay hot sauce bourbon barrel aged verde hot sauce, and Parma sausage dry cured pepperoni. The theme for this box was "South in your mouth" and it sure did deliver! Every item included was packed full of flavor, and there was nothing in this box that we've tried before so it was nice to get a box that was completely new to us.

I do have to admit though that I myself didn't really enjoy the goat milk caramels or the bourbon chocolate mainly just because I don't like any hint of alcohol in my foods because I've never really been a drink it makes me sick to my stomach and when they say it is bourbon chocolate you really can taste the bourbon. However on the same note the verde hot sauce I couldn't really taste the bourbon flavor in so it was pretty good, the dry cured pepperoni was also quite delicious. I feel like they did a good job at selecting the products that went into this crate and I love that they provide you with an information sheet that shows you where the products comes from along with information on it. If you would like to subscribe to Mantry they deliver one box that contains six full size products bi-monthly and subscriptions start at $59 for a single box so you are looking at an average value of $10 per item included in the box. Mantry donates 1% of sales to City Harvest, helping rescue over 20 tons of food and redistributing it to families in need of good, fresh food.

EsianMall Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by EsianMall for the review free of charge.****

Subscription boxes are always a lot of fun, because it makes getting mail feel like Christmas since you know you are going to get to open something but you don't know what it is. The newest subscription box I received and was able to test out for review is a snack box by a company called EsianMall. EsianMall sells both snack boxes ($14.95/month for a mini, $25 for a regular and $35 for a premium box) and makeup boxes ($24.95/month), they also offer a bi-monthly glamor box which has 6-8 full sized makeup products and clothing/accessories for $59.95. As a bonus on this post you get to see me being silly in my cosplay mask taking a photo with my snack box!

I received one of their Mini boxes, the difference between each box is how many snacks you receive. The mini box comes with five snacks, the medium comes with ten snacks and the premium box comes with eleven snacks and a bonus gifts which could be a funko pop or something else just as neat. Depending on how well you do with sharing I would say the mini box has enough for one person to enjoy, if you are looking for a family box or something for couples I would go with one of the bigger boxes.

Here is what was in the box: A bar of bitter chocolate,A cracker or cream biscuit (I received the cracker), A Meiji Yan Yan in the flavor vanilla, Green tea matcha pocky, and strawberry gummies. Due to it's name the chocolate bar it sounds a little off putting at first but it doesn't actually taste bitter, instead it tastes more like a pure coco bar not packed with as much sugar as what you would normally be used to in a chocolate bar. The only thing I didn't really like was the pocky, I normally love pocky I just don't like the flavor of green tea but I know there are lots of people out there who do.

One thing I wish they did differently is their "This Month's Products" card, instead of having the name and brand of the company it just says the gist of what it is such as  "cracker/cream biscuit" which is a little unfortunate because I love these crackers but I have no idea what they are called and unless I go searching online for what they are called I wouldn't know how to buy more, they also don't include the retail value on the card. Otherwise with those two things changes I do like this subscription box, all had strong and tasty flavors and there was a nice variety of products plus the way everything was packaged was eye catching and well put together.

Pet Studio Art Giveaway & Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Pet Studio Art for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

When I go shopping I try my best to bring my own bags so that I don't end up with a ton of plastic bags so I try to remember to bring reusable bags with me. I like looking for reusable bags that are both well made and reflect personal likes so I was exciting when I found a shop called Pet Studio Art because they sell a wide range of tote bags that feature a large selection of animals.

For my review I was able to select a tote bag of my choice but it was a difficult one to make because the store owner Stephanie has prints of several different animals I enjoy so I gave her a few options I liked and asked her to surprise me. When my package arrived in the mail I couldn't wait to see which tote she selected and was overjoyed to see that she had selected the Hedgehog print. I love hedgehogs and I would love to own one but at this time I am not able to get one so instead my fiance got me a FurReal hedgehog for Christmas so I decided to snap a photo of it with my new bag. The tote bag is made from 100% cotton and is environmental friendly, flat the bags measure 14.5in x 15in (Flat) and weight 6oz so they are pretty light weight and the fold up easily so you can store it in your purse or car for when you need it at the grocery store. The tote bag is well made and the print on the front doesn't have a sticky or gross feeling to it like some iron on patches/printed shirts can tend to have if they aren't done correctly. The material used is soft to the feel yet durable and will stand up to carrying a heavy stack of books or several canned goods.

Looking the tote over I wasn't able to find anything I didn't like about the bag, the inside has a small seam neatly tucked into it, and all the stitches are securely in place. Stephanie sells her totes for $15 each plus shipping, to me this is a fair price for a tote that is not only handmade but made well and durable so it is sure to last for several years to come, plus the prints are so cute how could you pass them up? Pet Studio Art also sells jewelry and cat scratchers, she responds to emails and inquiries in a timely manner and gets orders out quickly. My tote bag came with a lovely handmade card which I thought was a nice touch. I also wanted to note that her dog and cat models are rescue pets from the various shelters and rescues that she works with to help promote their pets through adoption. She offers free photo sessions to any rescue in her area of Austin, TX and to date has raised over $25,000 for animal charities through her fundraisers and referral program (She donates 20% of the profits from any order that a rescue refers to her at Pet Studio Art).

PRIZE ALERT:
One lucky winner is going to win their choice of tote bag from Pet Studio Art.

Wit! Gifts Giveaway & Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Wit! Gifts for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

During the holidays I like looking for gifts that are not only useful but fun and that is exactly what I found when I visited a website called Wit! Gifts who sells a wide range of witty and funny gifts. They sell a number of products from gift bags to water bottles and coin purses. The website had me smiling and laughing the entire time I was looking through the products because of the cute and funny little remarks all the products say on them. One of the products I thought was great in particular was a gift bag that says "If you don't like it, I'll take it", I thought this was funny because during the holidays I am always worried that the people I bought gifts for won't like their gifts so this kind of takes a bit of that stress away like hey a ton of other people feel the same way. For my review I was able to select a few things I wanted to review but the decision was hard because there were not only several things I liked but also products I knew my loved ones would enjoy as well. For my review I selected the following products; A unicorn coin purse & water bottle that both say "Shit just got real", A key FOB that says "You don't know jack", A sticky note set and a coffee cup set that says "Super Hero" & "Side Kick".

All of these products are wonderful in their own way but the one I was most excited to get was the coffee cup set because it is perfect for my fiance and I. To me he is my super hero, I think we make a pretty good team both on the home front and when we play video games together so I consider myself his side kick so these cups are perfect. I do wish there was different color options for the cups themselves but they are pretty awesome as is anyways. Each product is well made with high quality sturdy materials to help keep the product looking its best and keep it from becoming ruined due to scratches, tears, etc. The water bottle is stainless steel and holds 16oz, it is dishwasher safe and has a ridged bottle to help prevent the bottle from falling over. Each of the items I received is bright in color, eye catching and over all a fun products to own. The note cards feature a cute saying and a picture to go along with it, I keep a lot of notes so having this set makes note taking that much more fun! The sticky note set comes with six designs and there are fifty sheets of each one so for $5.90 you get three hundred witty and funny sticky notes to use as you please, I'd say that is a pretty good price for a unique set of sticky notes. Products on the Wit! Gifts site range in price from $2.50 for an emery board to $19.90 for a water bottle. Their customer service is excellent and the shipping was quick, all of the products arrived in ready to gift condition. I do think they could use an edit or two on their website though, I've looked all over their website and can't find a FAQ or help tab where you can look up information on where they ship to, shipping speeds, how to make a return if you need one, etc the only thing I can find is their email at the bottom of their website which is honestly the only thing there is to complain about when it comes to Wit! Gifts otherwise they answer emails quickly and their products are worth purchasing.

PRIZE ALERT:
One lucky winner will receive a prize pack filled with the exact same items I received in this post.

This is open to US Residents only excluding Hawaii and Alaska. Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

Glossique Nail Wraps Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by the Glossique for the review free of charge.****

I enjoy having my nails look nice but I have to admit aside from painting a base and adding maybe a top layer and a few nail decals I am not good at nail art so when I want something extra cute or fancy I turn to nail wraps to rescue me. Some nail wraps are a huge pain in the butt because you have to heat them up, but that isn't the case with these nail wraps by Glossique. These nail wraps do not require heat in order to apply and there is an easy process to apply them. Each sheet comes with nineteen wraps, which is enough for applying two sets to your nails because when you cut them in half each side of the sheet is enough for one set. To apply themyou'll need to first push your cuticles back, I generally like to trim mine but you don't have to do that. Next you'll need to wipe them with acetone (nail polish remover pads will do) because less oil will help the wrap stick better, however if you are like me and don't like the smell of nail polish remover this step isn't 100% necessary, I skipped this step and mine stuck quite nicely.

After pushing your cuticle back and wiping your nails off you will need to select the size wrap you need for each finger, You may trim the sides to make it more narrow if needed (I found I didn't need to cut anything off aside from the tip due to the wrap being longer than my finger nails). It is better to have the nail deco narrow on your nail vs. being too wide. It is ok for your natural nail to slightly show on the sides. It says you shouldn't touch the underside of the wrap too much because you don't want the oils from your skin to get onto the wrap so gently removing the wrap and placing it onto your nail is the best, then simply smooth it out over your nail and cut off any extra sticking off your nail. I found these wraps easy to apply, and if you run into any issue with smoothly them out it is easy to do you will need to gently lift the wrap back up and re-smooth it back down to help smooth any ridges out. I received a set of candy cane wraps and a snowflake/snowstorm set and I love them both! The Candy cane set I used as an accent nail set during the holidays and I am currently using the snowstorm set, I think it looks like blue flames because of how bright and pretty the wraps are.  The sticky side looks like snake scales and is pretty sticky to help keep it on your nails and the wraps are pretty durable and water proof. To remove simply grab the wrap by the corner and peel it off then wipe your nails off with a nail polish remover pad to remove any extra stickiness left behind. Each set cost $14.95 and they sell a large assortment of designs, if you are looking for something specific they separate everything into different categories on their website to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for.

Grand Canyon/Williams KOA Campgrounds Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by the Grand Canyon/Williams KOA for the review free of charge.****

When you go on vacation or on a business trip the first thing you usually think of is finding a place to stay while you are away from your home, most will look for a hotel or a motel to stay in for the night but have you ever considered a KOA camp that offers camp sites, tents and cabins for rent? During my life time I've only stay at one KAO camp site in northern New Mexico which was for a single night, four of us shared a one room cabin with no bathroom the bathroom they had was a bit of a walk and the inside of it scared the crap out of the bug-a-phoba inside me. I hadn't stayed in once since but I recently thought I would give it another try, each KAO site is individual owned and operated so they all offer different amenities and more and I am very glad we decided to give the KAO experience another chance. My family and I recently packed up for a weekend trip up to Northern Arizona to enjoy some snow festivities for the weekend and the lovely Grand Canyon/Williams KOA located at 5333 State Highway 64Williams, AZ 86046 graciously offered to sponsor us for a two day stay at their campground. It is the closest KAO campground near the Grand Canyon and also happens to be within a ten minute drive of Bearizon! We were offered one of their Deluxe cabins with bathroom, it offers a sleeping loft, a full bedroom, a smaller room with two bunk beds along with a kitchen, living room that has a pull out sofa bed and of course the bathroom in total it sleeps up to eight people. You would think it might cost an arm and a leg to rent a cabin for the night but surprisingly the estimated base rate for five adults and two children was only $135 a night, hotels in the surrounding area can cost $119 a night ($108 using a hotel website) for a single room with just two beds so for slightly more you basically get a small house all to yourself.

Walking into the front office was quite the site on it's own, driving up you could see bike rentals, a play ground, bathroom areas and a convenient store which contained the office area. Check in process was easy and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the convenience store was large and had a lot to browse I wanted to start looking around right away but we had a long drive up north and the kids we itching to get out of the van. We had a small two minute drive from the front office to where the cabins were, they have four various sized cabins lined up and they all looked so welcoming. Each cabin is fully furnished which includes patio furniture and chairs for the fire pit area, there is also a gas BBQ grill provided for your use. The cabin it's self was warm and cozy, they had the heat on keeping everything nice for when guests arrived. The cabin included everything you could need to make your stay as comfortable as possible, the kitchen features two coffee pots (a regular coffee pot & a K-cup machine with four provided pods), a microwave, toaster, dish washer, a full sink, two stove tops and it was already stocked with pots/pans, dishes and more. Liens are provided as well as soap/lotion in the bathroom, and under the kitchen sink we even found a dish rack/sponge/dish washer tabs and dish soap so you don't need to bring your own.

Even with five adults and two children there was still plenty of room to move around.Their website states there is only one TV in the cabin but there are actually two, there is one out in the living room and another in the master bedroom. During check in you are provide a map of the camp grounds that includes a list of channels and the Wifi info (provided free with stay), I do have to say that due to the location there wasn't a lot of channels to choose from which made me wish a DVD player was provided in the cabin for the time we did spend inside trying to stay warm. Each room had it's own small heater which really helped keep the cabin at a very comfortable temperature compared to what it was like outside. While enjoying our stay we fully enjoyed everything the cabin had to offer, we used the fire pit both nights we were there (fire wood can be purchased in their convenience store along with fire starters, camping gear and more!), we used the gas grill, and many of the dishes and dish washer. We took the kids up to play at their play ground and checked out everything they had to offer, the pool was out of commission for the season of course so that was one thing we didn't do but we took full advantage of the coffee bar they had inside the convenience store the kids loved the hot coco and we loved the Smores flavored hot coffee!! They even had a Rec Room with Pool Table, a Wii, a basket ball court and more for you to enjoy while you stay. Pets aren't allowed in the deluxe cabins but they are allowed in the smaller cabins and in the tent/RV areas, they provide a walking area and a K9 camp area for the dogs to play.

It was a quite area and even though all the cabins around us were occupied every night you weren't able to hear anyone's loud TV's, hear people going up and down the halls like you would in a hotel or have to deal with anyone being above you. Over all it was a very positive and enjoyable stay, everyone wished we could have stayed a few more days but work and school were calling us home. There was a lot to see and do just at this camp site and that didn't even include what all we did while we were up in Williams,Arizonas so I am sure I forgot to mention one or two things so if you are in the area you should book a stay and see everything they have to offer for yourself I am sure you won't regret it.
