Wireless Motion sensor cat fountain by Uah Pet!

As a pet owner I am always on the lookout for new products my pets may enjoy, one of the things I have been thinking about getting for my cat lately is a cat fountain. A lot of cats like drinking from a running water source such as a sink faucet or shower & my cat is no expectation to that. At the moment we just have a normal bowl for water near their food dish, but I thought if we had a water dish that offered filtered running water it might encourage my cat to drink more water. So when I was given the chance to work with Uah Pet to review their wireless automatic cat water fountain, I knew I had to say yes. This cat fountain can be purchased directly on their website or through Amazon, & you can get a discount on it by using code "LUNAUAH15" during checkout to get 15% off  your Amazon purchase or "LUNAUAH20" to get 20% through their website. The fountain is currently at $39.99 on Amazon (at the time of writing this review 3/9/23).

The instructions for the initial set up & charge were simple and easy to follow. We let it charge for the required amount of time & gave the filter a pre-soak prior to setting everything up. All of the pieces clicked together easily and quickly, so set up was a breeze. Some of the bonuses I noticed right away when placing this down is; It isn't easy to tip over, even if your cat put their front paws onto this to drink it won't tip over so there is no worry about spills. It is battery operated & according to the website it will run for up to 120 days on a single charge, We've only had it set up for a few days so I can not 100% confirm this however I haven't noticed any drops in the battery charge yet and have had no issues with it. Being able to charge this separately from the fountains means there are no wires leading to the fountain so there is no risk of your pet chewing on the wire, tripping over a wire or other wire related hazards.

I also like that it is taller so pets won't have to lean down as far to get a drink of water, my cat seems to enjoy that it is at chest level. There are also two different modes you can set this to, the first is a motion sensor which will detect your cat from 5-8 inches away, it could be due to how open our kitchen is but I have found it to be a little more sensitive than  that & it can detect me from further than eight inches away. The second setting will release water every fifteen minutes which can further help keeping the water circulating & filtered allowing for cleaner water. It does make a very soft noise when on, but most people won't notice it, the only reason I did was I happened to be in the kitchen when it was extremely quiet in the house and could make out the slight noise it made. It holds quite a bit of water as well, so if you go on vacation for a few days you can be sure your furry friend will have plenty of water.

It may take your furry friend a few days to get used to the new fountain, but once they get the hang of it and realize what it is they will start to use it more. My big guy took a little bit to get used to the new fountain in his food area, but seems to be getting used to it now and I've seen him use it a few times. Over all this fountain feels like it will be a great fit in our home! If you feel like your cat could benefit from a fountain like this, or you have a cat that doesn't like drinking from bowls this is a great option to look into. If you aren't in the market for a cat fountain, but want to see what else Uah Pet has to offer they also sell grooming tools, toys, and more for both cats & dogs so check out their website or look them up on amazon.

Dust-free kitty litter from Tuft + Paw!

In my personal opinion the worst thing about kitty litter is when it creates a little cloud of kitty litter dust when you are pouring it into the pan. It gets into your nose & on your clothing leaving you smelling litter even after you are done changing the box. So when I received an email from Tuft + Paw asking if I wanted to try out their new Really Great Cat Litter that is dust-free how could I say no?

This litter really is dust free as advertised. Instead of little bits of clay, sand or crystals this litter is made from soybean byproduct & is in the form of little pellets. The pellets also help prevent you from having litter tracked outside of the litter box since it won't stick to your cats paws and fur as easily as traditional litter. It also disintegrates in water making it safe to flush down your toilet instead of having to bag it up to throw out. One bag of litter will last you for a whole month, you can buy one bag at a time for $29 for opt to get three months at a time for a discounted price.

My cats seem to enjoy using this litter & I find it easy to scoop to clean out. It doesn't have the traditional smell of cat litter which is great for my nose and it seems to do well at hiding most cat smells that escape from the litter box. It is also light weight and I haven't noticed any of it being tracked around the bathroom, plus the low-dust/no-dust is a big help for the cats as well. This is a litter I would think about using again once what we currently have is gone. I also like that it conveniently ships to the house, perfect for anyone who doesn't want to carry around a big container of kitty litter at the store.

Give your cat a more comfortable sleep with a bed from Tuft & Paw!

When it comes to my cats sleeping patterns they are both polar opposites of each other, our small black cat can usually be found in more private places sleeping behind the curtains, or under the sofa (at night she sleeps next to my feet). Our big man Aleister is a bit different, he has always had a slight breathing issue if he is in the wrong position so he likes sleeping with his head propped up. The only thing is he sleeps in some of the most uncomfortable spots using hard objects as pillows such as my computer chair leg, the metal frame in the bathtub that the sliding glass door rolls along, etc. At night it is a little different, he usually sleeps next to my side of the bed, on the floor using a knee pillow he stole from me as a pillow. I thought it would be nice to try to get him a comfy cat bed with raised up sides to use to a more comfortable sleep so I was excited when Tuft & Paw wanted to work together.

Tuft & Paw sells a variety of awesome products for your cat ranging from fancy kitty litter boxes to comfy beds and scratching posts. For my review I was able to take a look at the cat beds and determine which I thought would benefit my cat the most. At first I thought I might go with the puff which he could lay in yet still have support, but thinking about how large he is and that he generally sleeps sprawled out I ultimately decided on the Kip Cushion in black (it also comes in white), it comes in three different sizes so I went with wide which is recommended for cats over 12lbs. Aleister is a very large cat, he is both lanky and weighs about 14lbs.

Right out of the box I could tell this cat bed was impressive and made with the best intentions in mind for your pet. It is heavy duty, quite cushioned and made with a soft material that is easy to run a lint roller over (or the vacuum) if it gets too hairy. Not going to lie, it is pretty comfy even for humans, How do I know? One of the days the cats weren't using it so I decided to see how comfy it was and sat on it for a short period while playing a video game, and can vouch that it is comfortable.

I like that the bed has a concave inside, because it allows him to stretch out while still keeping his head elevated to relieved the issues he has.

My big guy does spend a little time in the bed when it is near me so I usually carry it out of the bedroom and into the living room during the day. I was pretty surprised with how much our small little Bones enjoys laying in it, she often goes over and sits in it even if it is only for a short period of time, she looks so small in the bed compared to him hogging most of the space. Our cats are a little spoiled, you can see in the first image above that my daughter made a small pillow for the cat bed.

Do you have any pets? Tell me in the comments below what type of pets you have. If you have cats I suggest heading over to the Tuft and Paw site to see what they have to offer your cat. If you pop over to This instagram post you can see a short clip of Aleister trying out his new bed for the first time after it arrived in the mail.

Cat Lady Box Review!

My cats are like my kids, I like to randomly pick up a toy or a fun treat for them when I am at the store so when I found out about the Cat Lady Box, it sounded like something I had to check out. There are plenty of subscription boxes out there that are either for a human or specifically for a pet, what sets this subscription apart is it is for both! Each month you'll receive a few adorable cat themed gifts for yourself plus a few toys or treats for your cats.

I managed to get the box open and remove one item from it before Bones came over and wanted to check out what I was doing. She spotted the small stuffed penguin and went right for it! It made me laugh when I saw the penguin inside of the box because she actually has another small stuffed animal she stole from one of my kids that is a penguin as well.

There are two different subscription options you can select from, the first is the CRAZY Cat Lady box which is the box I described above it comes with 3-4 items for yourself and two items for your cat OR the second option is a Cat Lady box which has 3-4 products just for you (nothing for your cats). A Crazy box is $39.99 a month and the Cat Lady box is $34.99 a month. You can purchase a single box or you can let it renew every month and keep getting purrfect cat themed items.

So what was in the January box and was it worth the $40 price tag? Let's get into the details of what was in the box:

Brilliant Cat Glasses (Retail Value $29.99) - This was a cute set of two glasses that feature cat faces and a star pattern. They kind of remind me of whisky glasses due to their size and shape, they are great for really any type of drink. I think these would be perfect for when we have cookies and milk! The design is cute and they seem to be pretty sturdy, they are easy to wash and they dry quickly.

Mew Year 2021 Shirt (Retail Value $19.99) - How cute is the design on this shirt! It is a great way to welcome the new year and show off your love for kitties at the same time. The shirt fits well and it is quite comfortable, I think this will be a shirt I will end up wearing often. I like that it didn't have a funky smell when it arrived, I always hate ordering shirts online and they show up smelling like hot plastic.

Fluffy Snowball Cat Pen (Retail Value $5.99) - Pens are one of the office supplies I have the most of, I always like getting new pens and I have them literally all over my house because you never know when you might need a pen. This pen is great for a child or an adult, it adds a little extra pizzazz to your office supplies.

Petie the Penguin Catnip Toy (Retail $5.99) - When Bones had first come over and tried taking off with this I thought it was because it reminded her of her other toy, or because she loved stuffed animals. I didn't realize at the time it was a catnip toy, but now I can see why she was so excited about it. Along with being just the right size for your cat to drag around the house, the flippers have some crinkle paper in them so they make noise when your cat is playing with it. This is well made and feels like it will last for quite some time especially since Bones never tears her toys apart, she just likes flinging them around and hiding them various places.

Flurry Snowballs Cat Toy (Retail Value $6.99) - Another great cat toy! Both of my cats enjoy chasing this around the house, and the kids love it because it is one of the only types of toys both cats love playing with. The kids can be a little rough on this type of cat toy because the strings that attach the toys to the stick are usually pretty thin, but I have a feeling this toy will last a lot longer than the others.

Cardboard Box (Priceless) - If your cats are anything like mine then the box itself is a present to them, because of the catnip being inside of the penguin my big cat went nuts rolling around in the box and having fun jumping in and out  of it.

The box also came with a post card that features a Cat Lady Artist, and a Cat Lady sticker! I may be more inclined to like this particular kitty postcard because it kind of looks like my cat Aleister. So as you can see the total retail value of the box is $68.95 which is almost double the price you paid for the box. I personally loved all of the items that came in this box and so did my cats so it was a win-win situation for me.

I think that this is over all a fantastic idea for a subscription box, What animal owner doesn't like buying special treats for your pet? And as a bonus you get gifts too, heck yes! This time around I also took some clips of my cats helping me do an unboxing of this and I will be uploading a few clips into one or two reels over on my Instagram page.

😻 What do you think of this subscription box? Do you have any pets, if you do leave me a comment letting me know what type of pets you have.

Treat your pet to Raw Paws Pet Foods!

When I am presented with opportunities to review pet products I can never say no! When it comes to the pets in our family they are just as spoiled as the kids are. The two dogs at my mothers house love when I bring goodies over for them! (one of the dogs is mine but lives at her house). I recently received two wonderful pet products from a company called Raw Paws Pet Food and our pets can't get enough of them.

I wasn't sure exactly what to pick to review so instead of selecting something myself, I provided them with a bit of information on the two family dogs. They did a wonderful job selecting two great products suited for our pets, as an added bonus not only did the dogs get a treat but the cat was able to share in the joy as well.

The first product in our package was a bag of Raw Paws Freeze Dried Chicken Pet treats, like most pet foods the smell is a little off but then again it isn't supposed to be appealing to us! This product was sent because the oldest dog at my mothers house is elderly and has stomach issues so this is something that is soft and easy for him to eat. He highly enjoyed these treats (sorry I didn't get a picture, he is old and grumpy so getting photos isn't always easy) and our cat loves these treats as well. He drools while he is eating this because he enjoys it so much, You can see the wet spots on the floor in the image above where he was drooling a bit trying to eat the food as quickly as he could. A 4oz bag can be purchased for $14.99 on their website, depending on the how much you give your cat/dog this bag should last a little while.

We also received a two pack of Jumbo 6" Bully sticks for Sulley Monster. He typically goes through chew toys quickly so treats like this are ideal as they last a bit longer. He enjoyed chewing on this for a few days before it was gone. They came in a re-seal-able bag which is nice because it keeps the other stick fresh until we are ready to give it to him. You can purchase a two back of bully sticks for $15.99 on their website! Both of these products seem like they are high quality and made with love for the pets they are delivered to, if you are a pet owner I suggest checking out their products.

Do you have any pets? What kind of treats or toys do you like to spoil them with?

Wellness Gravies from Chewy.com!

Aleister is excited to bring you a new review featuring a wet cat food from the Wellness brand. When it comes to food Aleister knows when it is time for his daily wet food bowl and will become quite vocal to let you know if you are late giving him his food. When we get to test out new wet foods he is over the moon, because to him testing out new brands is like a person getting to try out new desserts.

This month we are trying out the Wellness Healthy Indulgent Gravies food pouches which come in a case of 32  3oz pouches through Chewy for $37.96. Instead of one giant case arriving containing all of the pouches you'll be sent four smaller boxes that each have eight pouches in two different flavors. The two flavors included are Chicken/Turkey and Tuna/Mackerel and both are grain-free, the first we opened was the tune/mackerel and it smelled just like a can of tuna being opened. Each pouch is easy to open and we had no issues getting the wet food out since the pouches were easy to squeeze.

Typically when you think of 3oz of food you might not think it equals out to a lot of food especially because a lot of cat food brands put only small amounts of food in their pouches. That wasn't the case with Wellness, I was quite surprised how much food as packed into each pouch, although I did expect a bit more gravy since they are called "Gravies". Aleister normally finishes most or all of his wet food but he was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of food in the pouch so he only finished about half of the meal. Cutting back to half of a pouch is more beneficial for us so the other half we keep in a sealed baggie and put it in the fridge for the next day so technically with a case of pouches we can get 64 days of food instead of just 32 which helps lower the cost of cat food even more! If you are searching for a new brand of cat food, a new toy or even medications Chewy has hundreds of products for sale at great prices.

Aside from pet food, what is another pet product you like buying online? What kind of pets do you have?

Cat Scratching post shopping with Tuft + Paw

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Tuft + Paw for the review  free of charge.**

When looking for a scratching post for your cat, what should you look for? There are dozens of different brands out there that sell scratching posts so looking for one might seem a little daunting, but if you try to narrow down your cats likes before purchasing a post it can be a big help.

Aleister is a bit of an odd ball cat who acts more like a dog, however he does still like using a scratching pad to help his claws + teeth so I wanted to get him something a little more than just the cardboard scratcher he is currently using. He doesn't usually like laying on furniture in the house, he prefers to be under your feet or laying somewhere on the floor. Aleister use to have a big cat tower, but he literally never used it since he had other spots he preferred to lay so when looking for a post I avoided any that had sleeping ledges and opted for a stand still post with just a scratcher.

Through Tuft + Paw we were sent the Turrim scratching post in Black Bird which retails for $139. It stands at 28" tall which is just the right size for him when he stands up to stretch and scratch on it at the same time. The scratcher came in two pieces, the base and post were wrapped separately in the box along with the hardware to put it together. Putting the base and post together took two minutes, it shows you which side the seam of the post needs to go on, then once it is in place you just need to drill (or screw) in four screws then you are done!

The post is heavy duty and weights about three or four pounds so it is light enough to re-locate to a new spot in the house when ever you'd like to move it but heavy enough that your cat won't be able to knock it over. The post itself is infused with the scent of organic catnip & is wrapped in incredibly durable + natural sisal fibers. It feels kind of like thick carpeting, I was a bit worried his claws might get stuck in the fibers but he hasn't had any issues so far and seems to be enjoying the post. I don't think it is heavily scented with the organic catnip scent as it took him a while to want to use this post but once he did he has used it every day since. The base is made from real wood so it has that nice wood scent to it when you first open it, I also liked that they offered different colors so that you can pick which suits your house better.

If you want something a bit more than just a post Tuft + Paw has several other scratching posts, beds, tress and more all ranging in price and activity level.
