Maelys Cosmetics Review!

 

It is no secret that as we get older & our bodies change that sometimes our skin might not be as smooth as it once was. We also know that sometimes after weight loss you can be left with areas where your skin doesn't tighten up right away, and that is where Maelys wants to help you. Maelys sells a wide range of products aimed at helping reduce the look of fine lines, stretch marks & even helping tighten up the skin for a smaller appearance. I was recently asked if I wanted to test out a couple of their products, and after looking at some of the reviews on their website I decided to go for it. I was sent their B-Flat, B-Tight & B-Thicc to test out. 

Let's start with the B-Flat. This product is a belly firming cream that is supposed to help reduce the look of stretch marks & tighten your skin a bit. After having two children I am left with some "Tiger Stripes" aka stretch marks, and I am not always the happiest with how they look so that is something I was looking forward to using this on. I haven't used this product for the long term yet meaning I haven't used the entire bottle, but I have used it a few times. It does seem to have helped reduce the coloration of the stretch marks a bit adding moisture to them which reduces their look. If you are not a fan of products that give you a warm tingly sensation do not use this within a short period after getting out of the bath. I tried it both right after a bath & waiting a while after getting out to see the difference between the two. If you use it right after a shower, it creates a very warm tingly feeling almost like icy hot without the icy part, it is bearable but some people may not like the feeling. However, if you wait a bit and then use it there is no tingly feeling at all. The product also smells nice, absorbs quickly and doesn't leave your skin feeling oily. This is sold in a 100ML bottle for $49. 

Next is the B-Tight which is for your booty! Just like the B-Flat this is aimed at tightening the skin to give a more lifted appearance and it also helps reduce the look of cellulite. It also has a pleasant smell & quickly absorbs into the skin, your skin will feel nice and smooth after using it. After a few uses your skin will feel more moisturized & you may already start to feel a difference, with most products like this you'll want to use them for a longer period to really judge the difference. My main thing with this one is I usually forget to use it after getting out of the shower. Maelys does sell other products for different areas of the body, but honestly I don't see why you wouldn't also be able to use this B-tight on areas like your underarm loose skin or under your chin if you have any issues with those areas as well. This is sold in a 100ML jar for $49. 

Lastly is the B-Thicc that is one step above the B-tight, which both essentially work the same however the B-Thicc is also designed to help give your booty the appearance of having more volume while lifting and firming. I haven't notice a large difference, however as I had mentioned I may just need to use it for a longer period of time. There are dozens of photos on their website showing real results from customers who have used these products for an extended period of time & then posted their review on the website. This product is a little bit thicker than the B-tight it almost reminds me more of a coconut oil in the container than a cream, but it glides on just as smoothly and absorbs quickly as well. Just like the B-Flat this has a warming sensation so if you'd prefer to avoid that, do not use it right after a shower. This product comes in a 100ML jar for $49. 

I think if you were using these products along side a diet & workout routine along with your normal skincare routine that you will see some great results. I myself am getting back into more of a fitness journey and look forward to having these products help me along the way. Sore muscles? Use a massage gun by Ekrin Athletics.

 

Like most adults I suffer from pain in my shoulders or back from time to time. Part of the reason my lower back tends to hurt is because my hips sit slightly uneven, which can cause a bit of lower back pain. The last time I went to get an adjustment they used a massage gun on one of my muscles for a minute before doing the adjustments due to my muscle being stiff that way they could adjust the spot properly. After having them use it on just that one spot. I wanted to try out one that I could keep at home not only for myself, but for my family as well to use when needed. I've heard a handful of great comments about massage guns & I've seen them all over in various stores near me, especially during the holidays. I was very excited when Ekrin Athletics wanted to work together on a review of the Ekrin 365 Massage Gun. 

First impression? Wow! It is crazy how quickly this helps relieve your sore and stiff muscles. I feel like I get an hours worth of a regular massage in about ten minutes with this. Depending on how stiff your muscle knots are it might hurt just a little at first, but once you work on the area around the spot it will help loosen it up and feel so much better. It is kind of funny depending on where you use it because if you talk it sounds like you are talking into a fan if you start speaking while using it. Have you ever gone for a deep tissue massage that is done by hand, then the next day some of the spots feel like you were hit in them? That doesn't happen with this, your muscles will feel relaxed. If you use it for a long period of time you might still feel a little tingly directly after, however that feeling will go away quickly. 

Everyone in the house enjoys using this, even the kids! Right after we received it I used it for a minute or two on everyone in the house to show them how it works and it was an instant hit. Later in the evening everyone was asking of I could use it on their backs, so I did then I got a turn. I slept so well that night with every thing in my back loosened up & surprisingly the next morning I didn't wake up with my usual back pain despite the odd sleeping positions I usually get into. I also tried this on my foot & even though it tickled it help relive sore feet too, plus you can also use it on legs & arms. It is super simple to use, the attachments just need a slight push and twist to lock into place. Then you'll click "On" and gently tap the top of the massage gun which will activate speed #1, if you want another speed you simply need to tap it again to change the speed.

It charges quickly and it seems to run for quite some time. There are multiple settings along with different speed settings along with different attachments. It comes with a guide letting you know which attachment is best for different areas of your body. The massage gun along with all of the attachments have spots in the carrying case that they rest perfectly in, it makes this quick & easy to put away and very convenient if you want to travel with this. I actually took this with over on a visit to my moms house, her back has been extra sore lately to the point where she thought something else might be wrong. So I told her about this massage gun that I had just received the night before we spoke & asked if she wanted me to bring it over and use it on her back, we figured it couldn't hurt to try. I used it on several different spots on her back and by the end of my visit she was already feeling so much better and wants to get a massage gun of her own as well. The only slight downside to something like this is that you can reach your neck/upper shoulders and also your lower back by yourself but if you have a spot mid-back that hurts it will be harder to reach on your own. Otherwise we love this! If you want to get this same model it can be purchased on their website for $179.99 or they have other models available at different prices.

A review of the collagenic burn pills from Obvi.

Being someone who wants to get into better shape, but lacks motivation to work out I thought it would be interesting to test out these Obvi. collagenic burn pills I've seen plenty of ads on facebook for. Luckily the company agreed to send out a jar for me to test out for a review. They also agreed to let me try them out for 1-2 weeks before posting the review so I can see a slightly longer affect of the pills vs taking them for just three days and putting up a review. Here is how my experience went:

Each container has 120 capsules which is a thirty day supply. You will take a total of four pills a day, two in the morning and two in the evening, the pills are slightly large so I recommend taking them with something to drink. I prefer to take mine one at a time to make it a little easier. It is a weird thing to say about pills, but these smell good! They smell like pink lemonade to me, they also slightly taste like it, however that could just be my nose tricking my brain.

Have I noticed any weight loss? At the moment no, but I do not blame that on the pills. I need to get back into my workout routine that I let fall off track. Energy wise, half of the time I am a giant ball of energy, I like to sing and dance around my house and other days I am just tired from work and don't want to do anything aside from being a sloth on the sofa. These collagenic pills help balance out those energy levels, I am still a ball of energy most days but even on the days I would normally be a bit off from work I still have quite a bit of energy. I also noticed that I had an over all feeling of just feeling better.

It is nice because it helps prevent me from feeling burnt out if I had a more active week at work running around the building. Feeling better energy and body wise is also a great mood booster, I felt refreshed, energized and lighter due to the boost in energy and mood.

These are also meant to help improve your hair, skin and nails. During the time I was taking them, I was growing my nails out a bit and they've been doing pretty good so far. I also noticed a small improvement in my skin which is always an added plus, because everyone wants to look their best. I look forward to finishing the rest of this jar and seeing how I feel at the end of the month using them. 

It has five different types of collagen meant to help different aspects of your body, the different types are listed above in the ingredients list.  All of the ingredients used are natural, however I would check the ingredients list because this contains  a few items people are typically allergic to such as fish & egg.

There is also caffeine in the pills, I haven't noticed any jitters from the caffeine in these even if I have actual coffee during the day.

Soothing aches with CBD Daily + a Giveaway!

 

Like most adults I have aches and pains in various parts of my body, generally my neck and back hurt a little (I could use a new bed and a trip to the chiropractor) so sometimes I need a little help with relief. The cream is pretty thick and silky smooth, a little goes a long way and it absorbs into your skin quickly. Some creams and lotions can leave behind a oily feeling on your hands, which is something that normally turns me away from which ever brand it is, so I am happy this doesn't do that. 

It is crazy how fast it works, when I started writing this post I had rubbed a bit of it into my neck and it is already making my neck feel better. I tend to hold stress in my neck so this is a great product to have on hand.

Sneak in a workout at your desk with DeskCycle! + Giveaway

Between working full time, cleaning, running errands, taking care of my family, blogging and squeezing in a little me time to enjoy a video game or book, it can be hard to find extra time to do a full work out. DeskCycle has a fantastic solution that will help you squeeze in some more physical activity during your daily routine. Their cycle is just the right size to fit under your desk or in front of your sofa so you can peddle while you are working, watching tv or even reading. I received the DeskCycle 2 to test out for a review.

When it arrives some light assembly is required, you will need to attach the base legs, pedals and the monitor to the main body of the cycle. The assembly was easy and it didn't take long to put together before I was able to use the cycle. The monitor that helps keep track of how fast you are going, calories burned, time spent on it, etc. can be attached to the main body itself or it comes with a stand that can be placed on the top of your desk along with a longer cord to connect everything, so you can keep an eye on your progress. The pedals have an adjustable height so you can keep them at nine inches or ten inches.

The DeskCycle has eight different resistance settings so you can make it more challenging on yourself as you are cycling. It is easy to adjust using a dial located at the back (the part closest to you) of the cycle as you can see below:

My computer desk isn't completely open at the bottom as I have shelves on both sides of where my legs go so I got really lucky and this cycle just barely fit under my desk width wise, height wise it is perfect. My legs usually get a little restless when I am sitting at my desk and because of it I usually sit cross legged which isn't the best thing to do, so I like having this under my desk as it not only allows me a chance to add more physical activity to my day but it helps keep my legs busy.

The foot pedals have a strap so it can be adjusted to your shoe size, however I don't generally wear shoes when I am at home so there is a bit of extra space between my foot and the pedal even on it's tightest setting. Otherwise the foot pedals are comfortable both in shoes and without. The DeskCycle is light weight and easy to move, so I can grab it from under my desk and put it next to the sofa when I am playing a video game with my husband. My kids also enjoy using this they think it is a lot of fun, and enjoy seeing how fast they are going by watching the monitor. Does it actually feel like you are getting a work out in? Yes, you'll be working and moving both legs which helps blood flow and helps you burn calories while sitting instead of just sitting stationary. It also helps your joints because it helps prevent you from feeling stiff after sitting in your chair for a long stretch. When you get up you can tell you were cycling, all without getting sweaty!

Overall I am pretty happy with the DeskCycle 2, it is quiet while in use so that you don't bug anyone else who might be in the room. The base legs help keep the cycle steady so it isn't rocking side to side or too wobbly while you are using the pedals. I think it is easy and also fun to use! I wish I had one at work as well. If you are someone who uses a fitbit or similar app to help track your progress DeskCycle has a free app that syncs up with your cycle (I believe you need to directly plug it into your phone to transfer the data, I haven't actually used the app) so that you can keep an eye on your daily, weekly and even monthly progress.

Home is my sanctuary because I can do what I want and wear what I want without having to worry what anyone else thinks, if I want to workout in my Pajamas I can! A company called Tani creates and sells a number of comfortable clothing pieces you'll never want to take off, why? Their products are made from a fine silk that is soft, smooth and cooling. For my review I was able to select one top and one bottom of my choice, I selected the Silkcut long sleeve shirt retail $75 and the GO Power Leggings retail value $145.

Both pieces are comfortable as can be, the silk material is one of the softest materials you will ever wear and it hugs your body just like a second layer of skin. The material is pretty stretchy but bounces back into place after being worn, it washes and dries well without any issues. My biggest issue is the materials are thin enough they are extremely see through and leave almost nothing to the imagination. You don't even need to bend over in these leggings to show the world your bottom side and what underwear you are sporting for the day, I don't have a big butt so I don't think the issue is that my backside is stretching the materials too far. Unless I am working out in home I won't be wearing these out of the house unless it is under a skirt. Even with the see thru nature of these I plan on working out in them because of how comfortable and soft they are (I work out in my bedroom at home, no need to worry gym goers!) it almost feels like you aren't wearing anything at all. The long sleeve top is perfect for wearing by itself or under another shirt as a second layer which I plan to do this winter.

I like the powdered cranberry burst a lot better because I love cranberries and this little powder packs a lot of punch into one scoop, in a single scoop you will get 6,000 MG of NeoCell collagen Type 1 & 3 for firm, smooth skin &strong hair & nails,50 MG of Hyaluronic Acid for skin hydration & renewal,3,000 MCG of Biotin for support of strong hair & nail growth,Alpha Lipoic Acid & Vitamin C for protection from free radical damage & enhancement of collagen formation. Both products are easy on the stomach and don't leave me feeling like I will be sick which is a plus because sometimes my stomach can be pretty picky.  I have two very active children who are always wanting to do something that keeps them engaged and entertained, you can say they don't like to sit still for very long. ThinkFun is a company that offers board games for children that keep their minds active and their hands busy, we have played some of their games in the past and they are always a big hit in our house. I was recently sent one of their newest games called The Yoga Spinner, it comes with one large spinner and 54 yoga pose cards.





Yoga Spinner not only offers a fun game for your kids to play but it also keeps them physically active at the same time. The game is simple and easy to play, before you start you will want to divide the cards up into the color groups they come in and give them a little shuffle then put them face down. Next all you need to do is spin the wheel and select a card for which ever color you land on, this card will be the yoga move you need to do. If you can hold the position for 10 seconds you get to keep the card, the first player to get one card in every color wins! As you can see the white cards require two people so this game is best played with 2+ players, once you start getting used to all the yoga moves you can even increase the time that you have to hold the pose for. This game has an age recommendation of 5+ years old but my three year old son also likes to participate.

I like that this game allows your child to learn yoga as they are playing through the game, I recently started doing yoga myself and find it is quite relaxing and helpful so my daughter has been asking me to do it with her. The yoga I am doing is more of a weight loss thing and the moves I believe would be a little too much for her so I am very happy to have this to do with her now because we can play it daily if we wish. This game sells for $14.99 on the Thinkfun website, I also included a photo of one of their other new games called Clue Master which helps your child t develops the skill of deductive reasoning, a key ability in math, science, computer programming. It is time again for Fitness Friday! I can't believe it is friday already the days seem to be going by faster every day.
