At Home Christmas Decor Reivew!

**This was is a sponsored post, I received a gift card to go shopping to purchase items seen below. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by At Home & BSM Media Inc. for the review free of charge.**

The holiday season has arrived and with Thanksgiving just a few days away it means it is almost time to start decorating for Christmas if you haven't already. Decorating for the holidays is always so much fun because there are so many cute and fun decorations out there that fit everyone's styles, budgets and likes. At Home carries dozens of Christmas decorations for outside your home and inside your home and with prices starting at $1.99 and up it should be a stop during your holiday shopping this year.

I was recently sent a gift card to go pick up a few Christmas decoration items to decorate one area of my home, I decided on the pathway that leads up to my home but I also picked up a little something for my kids/guest bathroom. I have incorporated what I bought from At Home along with the existing decorations I already had and I am pretty happy with everything!

The first thing I picked up was a Pinecone wreath with ornaments that is 22", they are normally $19.99 but they are currently on sale for $9.99 and I do not have a wreath so it was perfect timing. The wreath I had last year was real so it had to be tossed out at the end of the holiday season but I kept the battery powered Christmas lights that were on it and added it to my new wreath as you can see above. Next while we were walking down the isles we spotted some fake snow in a can, I remember my mom getting this same kind of snow when I was a kid and we always had so much fun spraying it on the windows, the tree and more so I wanted to pick some up to use for my home as well. We used it to make the windows look like they are frosted and used it to spray a bit rock in our yard to look like it is an ice berg. We bought a single can for now for $4.99 to see how much was in it and we received a pretty decent amount of snow from it. I also spotted a small blue Christmas tree that I picked up to decorate my bathroom with, it was only $2.99 and it is my favorite color so I couldn't say no even though my husband looked at me like I was silly.

Now onto the big things! At Home has a decent sized collection of yard inflatables and they start out at very affordable prices many are just $19.99 each and are adorable plus big enough you can see them from the street. We picked up a 44in inflatable Polar bear sitting down on his butt, and a 4 foot inflatable snowman with Santa hat & twig arms both of which are the $19.99 inflatables. We also added the snoopy we already have out with them for a fun little inflatable section of the yard.

My camera didn't like all the lights being on so the photo is a little blurry but I think everything looks pretty cute together! You can also see our pathway markers, we picked up two sets of their 30 in Candy Cane pathway markers that come in a set of four for $9.99. We placed them each a even length apart then we took some tinsel and strung it between each candy cane to make a lined path up to our porch, there are also solar paneled lights next to each candy cane to help add a little extra lighting. In all we spent about $76 on everything (we bought a bag of popcorn too), and we used the 10% off coupon you can get for signing up for their newsletter. Many of these products will be on sale during Black Friday so be sure to check out their flyer because they are having some really good deals.

Candlewick Press Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Candlewick Press for the review free of charge.**

Candlewick Press offers dozens of great family and kid friendly books for all occasions. I was recently asked if I wanted to review a selection of Christmas related books and of course I said yes, my kids and I love getting new books. I recently received five great books from them, I will tell you about three of them below and the other two will be on a separate post to help keep the review for getting too long. All of these books can be found on Amazon and at Barnes & Nobles for purchasing.

Red & Lulu - I was immediately drawn to this book because of the Cardinals on the front, Cardinals were one of my great grandmothers favorite birds because she loved the color red so this book reminded me of her and our holiday memories. This book is written by Matt Tavares and retails for $17.99. Red & Lulu is forty pages long and features a number of beautiful illustrations that were done in watercolor and gouache. The story is about a pair of birds that live in a giant evergreen tree and is the story about what happens to them once their beloved tree is taken away. I admit I was a little saddened by the start of the book but it had a happy ending and everything worked out alright. The last page also provided some educational information on the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

Elf In The House - This book is thirty-two pages long and retails for $15.99. The book follows the adventures of a magical night when a little girl is waken by the sound of jingling bells downstairs. The book will take you on a trip through the house to see what visitors have stopped by for Christmas. This is a great book for small children and would make a great book for new readers to read by themselves. It is written by Ammi-Joan Paquette and illustrated by Adam Record. The way the character illustrations stand out remind me of some of the new childrens TV shows with how it is colored and outlined. I was going to save this one for our Elf on the shelf to bring with her during the start of December but I wasn't sneaky enough hiding it and the kids saw it but they absolutely loved it and thought it was great.

The Christmas Fairy - This book is so darn cute! It is written by Anne Booth and illustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw. This cute book is about a group of school ages faeries who are practicing standing still, and being quite so they can stand on a tree being a Christmas Fairy. One of the little faeries isn't like the others, she likes to wiggle and sing and this story is about her and her journey to becoming a Christmas Fairy. We really like the illustrations and we look forward to reading this during the holidays.I highly suggest this book as a Christmas gift for any little girl in your life. This book sells for $15.99 and is thirty-two pages long.

I See Me! Holiday Book Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by I See Me! for the review free of charge.***

Every year for Christmas I  get a ornament made for my kids that has their name on it because it is one of our traditions to celebrate the holidays, this year I will have something extra special to share with them during the weeks leading up to Christmas. Growing up I was a big book worm and now my kids are big readers as well, they like reading by themselves but they also like when we all read together so when I received the chance to review a customizable book called "My 12 Days of Christmas (Family Edition)" by I See Me! I was very excited. The book I received is just one of many Christmas themed customizable books they offer, you can see their whole line by clicking Here, the books range from $29.99-$39.99.

The book covers the whole twelve days of Christmas from start to finish the only difference from the version you know and this book is that it can be customized with your families last name and it can include any first names you would like. The cover, dedication page and a few spots inside will have your last name. With the names you provide they each get added onto each page for example if you have two children the first page will have "One the first day of Christmas Mickey Mouse..." and the next will have Donald Duck and back and forth until the last few pages which will have both names, the names are also added on various places on the actual illustrations in the book, my fingers are covering up the names below but you can see how beautiful the colors and illustrations in the book look.

My kids love seeing and reading their names in this book, it is sure to be a family favorite for many years to come. The book is thin but seems like it will be able to last for several years before you see any real wear and tear on it, the cover and the pages have a gloss finish to them which looks quite lovely. Each page is whimsical and eye catching, they manage to sneak the names you provide them onto every page and no two pages are the same each one will have the name in a different spot in a different font. I am very happy with this book and I am so glad there are companies out there like I See Me! who offer products that can be customized like this. They also offer books for other occasions, puzzles, stickers and more that can all be custom printed.

ThinkFun Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by ThinkFun for the review free of charge.****

With Christmas coming up everyone is looking for fun and entertaining gifts their children will enjoy and I have a gift that fits all of those needs! I recently received a game called Lazer Maze Jr. by ThinkFun which is sold for $29.99 it is available through their website or on Amazon. Laser Maze Jr. requires you to use mirrors, beam-splitters, a little science and brainpower to direct the laser through a series of mind-challenging mazes and light up the target shaped like a rocket.

The box says ages 5 & up but my two year old also did perfectly fine with this game, and had a blast playing it with his sister, father and I. The game offers 40 Challenges from Easy to Super Hard, each card is slid into a slot on the game board and it shows you where to place the boulders, and rockets it also tells you what you need to complete that level. Some challenges only require one rocket and two mirrors, others you may need both rockets or a rocket, three mirrors and a boulder which makes the game more exciting since you have to think of ways to arrange the items to make the lazer turn on the rocket. The game comes with 11 Game Tokens (2 Rocket Targets, 3 Space Rock Blockers, 5 Satellite Mirrors and 1 Beam Splitter).

My daughter is six years old and adores this game because it really makes her stop and think about how she needs to place the mirrors and beam splitter, once she gets it figured out she gets so excited to see the rocket light up. This may be Lazer Maze Jr. but the Super Hard cards can be quite a challenge, even my fiancĂ© and I have had to stop and think about where things will go and try moving things around a few times before we are able to get them, so it has been fun for the whole family. Lazer Maze Jr. along with their other fantastic games such as Compose yourself and Code Master would make wonderful Christmas & Birthday gifts and best of all they are all affordable. Head over to their website to see what other games they have that might interest you.

Lily Nily Giveaway & Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Lily Nily for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

When my daughter was younger she never liked to wear jewelry so I didn't buy her a lot of it, heck the girl has her ears pierced but as soon as she was old enough to start talking she wanted them out and hasn't had them back in since. It wasn't until recently that she started to like jewelry so I wanted to look for something that was girly, appropriate for a six year old girl but was also well made. When I found Lily Nily I knew I found a company that offered exactly what I was looking for.

I was originally going to surprise her by picking out a necklace for her but then I realize she might want a bracelet to wear to school instead so I let her pick out what she wanted to help me review. After looking around on their website and after a lot of debating my daughter decided on the butterfly link bracelet. Not only did Lily Nily send her the bracelet she had picked out but they were also kind enough to send the butterfly link necklace that they sell as well, she was over the moon when the package arrived for her to open. The jewelry arrived in a cute pink box with hearts all over the box, inside she found her necklace and squealed with delight. The necklace and bracelet are beautiful, dainty, light weight and sturdy perfect for any little girl. Not only does Lily Nily sell necklaces and bracelets but they also offer watches, rings and earrings. I think that a charm bracelet or necklace would make a great birthday or holiday gift, the bracelets are $40 each and necklaces are $35-$60 depending on which you get. The jewelry is brass with 18k gold plating, and a lobster clasp, each item on their website is hand painted and high quality.

Chewy.com Review

To me my cat is just as much one of my children as my daughter is,They are both around the same age and grew up together She was almost a year old and he was five months when we received him. Every year I try to get him new toys at Christmas as well so when I received the chance to do a review with the company Mr. Chewy I could not refuse.

For my recent review I received the chance to pick a few things out for him on their website, I picked some cat food, kitty litter & a new cat toy for him to play with,As you can see above he knew right away the box was for him. The shipping is quite fast & they offer a monthly plan that allows you to pick out the food or pet supplies you need, and will deliver them monthly at the same time for a fee,For those who are unable to get out of the house or have a hard time on their own this is a wonderful option. The site offers a huge selection of Dog & Cat products ranging from Food,to toys & bedding they even offer pet medication. I think they have great prices, fast shipping and wonderful customer service, I would love to see them add more areas for other pets such as small mammals, birds, ect. My cat is enjoying his wet cat food and his fresh litter,The toy I picked out for him is a little heavier than I thought it would be but he still plays with it frequently. ****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used.
