Joancee has jewelry for every style!

 

I love when jewelry brands carry something for all different tastes and styles, which is why I really enjoy the wide selection Joancee Jewelry offers. Back in November, I reviewed one of their amethyst rings and I get compliments on it all the time from strangers who notice it out in public. I was very excited when Joancee offered me a chance to work with them again. This time around I wanted to pick out something that my matched how I normally dress which is mostly in all black. Today I will be sharing a lovely ring set with you along with a gorgeous necklace. 

They offer two different Bat necklaces that I was drawn to, so while it was a hard choice, I decided to go with the Halloween Heart cut white sapphire 925 sterling silver Bat necklace. This necklace features a small bat made from sterling silver with a black plating and has a large heart shaped white sapphire in the center with a pop of smaller sapphires lining the wings. It is currently priced at $69.85 & will arrive in a box that is perfect for gifting, if you are buying it for a loved one. I like how light weight this necklace is & that it sits in place without moving around a lot requiring it to be adjusted. The bat itself is just the right size, it isn't large enough that it will be poking you, but is still large enough to be noticed when worn. It is quite eye catching, I think this has made a great addition to my jewelry collection. 

Next up is the ring set! The ring I selected this time around was the Round cut 925 sterling silver black sapphire 3 piece ring set. This gorgeous ring set features two sterling silver bands that each have thirteen tiny black sapphires and a third band that has one larger black sapphire in a setting in the middle with smaller black sapphires on the sides. This set is currently priced at $114.95 and just like the necklace will arrive in a ready to gift box. I love that you can stack the rings or you can wear them on separate fingers. I really liked the two bands with just the smaller sapphires & my daughter liked the band with the larger stone, so she currently is wearing that band and I have the other two stacked together on my finger. They can also be mixed & matched with other bands. The rings are comfortable to wear, they do not irritate my fingers , they are light weight and the stones do not easily catch on anything. The ring set is quit lovely & would make a wonderful gift to yourself or to a loved one. 

Not everyone is a fan of black stones, but as I mentioned they have a wide range of jewelry that includes stones of almost every color. They have nature inspired jewelry like a beautiful hummingbird necklace, or butterfly earrings. Since it is sterling silver you won't need to take if off when you wash your hands or get in the shower. This ring is gorgeous especially in the sunlight watching the colorful rays of light dance off of the jewels. The purple of the stone is quite vibrant & will draw the eye directly to it. I am quite pleased with the ring & feel like it is a stunning high quality ring at a fantastic price.

STMT jewelry making kit review!

Making your own jewelry can be a lot of fun, because you can make exactly what you want & how you'd like it. It can also be a great craft for kids as it keeps their hands & minds busy and focused, so if you are looking for a inexpensive & fun craft kit for your kids for the summer Horizon Group USA has plenty of them. Under their STMT (Simple Trendy Modern Touch) line they have several jewelry kits under $20, along with a jewelry stamping kit for under $25. The particular jewelry kit we were gifted to review, I do not see on amazon however they have similar kits & their products can also be found at stores such as Walmart, Target & Craft stores. 

This kit has everything you need to make ten different pieces of jewelry. Included in the kit is an assortment of chain & string types, clasps, rings, small pliers and several different types of beads and charms. There are not only earring hooks, but if you pick some up then you can use this kit to make earrings as well. For the price it comes with an awesome amount of beads & supplies, I like the assortment of letter beads that are included. The kit can be for an individual or you can make a jewelry party out of it. 

My daughter enjoyed using this kit to make some jewelry with her favorite bands names on them as some of the bands are hard to find merchandise for. I enjoyed being able to show her a few ways of closing the clasps instead of just tying it off on the ends, and being able to come up with color combinations with her. In the future we may pick up some of their other kits as well as each one has different goodies.

Rainbow Loom bracelet kit Review + Giveaway.

 

Ever since my kids were young we've always worked on craft kits together, and now that they are older they love doing them by themselves as well. Which is why we are always overjoyed to be part of the Horizon Group USA content creator team, once a quarter we received a fun package from them with a few things to review. Over the last month I covered their Fossil dig kit and the Halloween sticker set, today I will be telling you about their Rainbow Loom bracelet making kit. 

The kit comes with a loom that you create your bracelet with using small rubber bands in various colors, it also comes with clips and the hook you need for creating your bracelets. The basic bracelet instructions are easy to follow, getting the intertwining of the bands can take a little getting used to, you have to do just the right pace or the bands can accidently come off the hook and the loom. Although it is easy to weave it back in if it does happen to come off of the loom. My twelve year old daughter was able to pick this up quickly and is starting to complete bracelets in a matter of minutes, my eight year old son was also able to make a bracelet all on his own.  

I also tested out their pattern for the mermaid tail bracelet which takes a longer amount of time and more bands, however once you get into a groove the time will fly by and it will be completed before you know it. I didn't go with a specific color pattern for the tail bracelet, I just added whatever color came next in the pile and I like how it turned out. 

The end result is a cute and stretchy bracelet. I can see these bracelets being helpful for anyone with anxiety, and anyone who likes fidget toys because it is fun to stretch the bracelet and run your fingers along. Looking at similar kits they have and other patterns you can also make small figures, keychains, rings and more with these bands. If you run out of bands to go along with the loom, they have packs of just bands you can purchase.

Wild In Africa - bracelet Giveaway!

From the earliest memory I can re-call, I have always loved animals. I was the type of kid who was always rescuing birds that fell out of trees, bringing home stray alley cats or lost puppies to find their owners. January Beauty & The Book Giveaway.

Last month I didn't post nearly as much as I wanted to, the entire month seemed to go by in the blink of an eye with everything we were doing for the holidays and my daughters birthday. Groove Life Rings Review & Giveaway!

Depending on your occupation wearing a traditional metal ring may not be the best option, some allergies also make it impossible to wear certain metals, which is where silicone rings come into play. My husband works in a field where he works with his hands often and rings we've tried in the past dig into his hand leaving behind a bump where a callus starts to build, so we started to look for a new ring. Since his ring is his wedding ring that he will be wearing all the time he wanted something that is comfortable and doesn't rub his finger raw so we decided to test out a silicone ring from Groove Life. The wedding ring I had lost two of the side stones over the last two years so I decided to replace it with a ring from Groove Life as well.

Groove Life has over a dozen beautiful rings to choose from, some have a single color and others are more detailed. For the review I picked out the women's Aspire - Aurora silicone wedding ring and my husband selected the men's Black pearl metallic ring.

The Black Pearl Metallic ring ($29.95) really does look metallic in the light, it has a little bit of a sheen to it which looks lovely. I did notice on the ring my husband received that it did have a small ring of what looked like extra silicone around one ridge of the ring, it has slowly been coming off on it's own. You can see it a little in the first photo above, however I think it is just the way it came out of the mold and it should be easy to file off the extra. Otherwise there are no issues with the ring, my husband says it is comfortable to wear, it dries quickly when it gets wet and it stays in place thanks to the helpful grooves on the inside of the ring which also make it breathable so your finger doesn't get all sweaty under the band.

My Aspire - Aurora ring ($34.95) is gorgeous, the photos of it look pretty great but it looks even better in person.One side of the ring has a bit more blues and the other has more greens, so you can turn it to look different each time you show it off. The ring features mountain ranges and a night sky that resembles the aurora borealis. I know I should have my ring faced the other way so when I show it off the person looking at it can get a better view, however I love admiring the ring so I point it towards myself. I agree with my husband that these rings are extremely comfortable to wear, you can't even tell you are wearing it! If you do need to or want to remove it, the ring comes off with gentle wiggling, otherwise it stays in place with the inside grooves. I also like how flexible the ring is. If anything ever does happen to your ring they offer a lifetime warranty, plus if you order the wrong size they offer free exchanges.

Anyone who knows me personally knows I don't typically wear a ton of jewelry, usually it is my engagement ring and sometimes earrings and a necklace, but if I find something I really love I will wear it often. I recently came across an Etsy shop called All Animal Jewelry and when I spotted their Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin ring I thought it looked fun, whimsical and festive. Halloween is my favorite holiday so I think that is part of what drew me into wanting this ring. Shop owners Tom O & Lisa O. Voelker were kind enough to agree to let me host a review and giveaway as one of my Halloween related features this year.

They sell the ring cast in three different materials; Sterling Silver, Rose Gold & Gold and offers sizes 3-13 including half sizes. For my review I received a Sterling Silver ring in a size 8.5. The ring arrived quickly and was packaged beautifully, when I opened the box I was greeted by cute dragonfly tissue paper, candies, a small Hematite and the box containing my ring. There was another goodie surprise in the ring box as well! The ring was in an adorable black bag with stars on it and there was a small sand dollar in the box too, everything arrived in perfect condition. 

I absolutely love this ring, I received the ring on Monday and aside from moving it from my left hand to my right I haven't taken it off since it arrived. The main reason I don't usually wear rings other than my engagement ring is because most rings are too bulky for me, and I don't like how they rub on my other ringers while I am working. I do not have that issue with this ring, it is light weight yet extremely sturdy and you can hardly even tell you are wearing it.The size fits just right, it is tight enough it doesn't slip off my finger but it has enough wiggle room that I can spin the ring on my finger when I get bored waiting in line, at work, etc which is nice because it is kind of like a fidget ring that way. 

Have you ever had a ring that has a band so thin and unstable it starts bending out of shape? You won't have that issue with this ring! It is crafted quite well and is very strong. The ring is 100% sterling silver, none of that silver coated stuff some shops try to pass off as the real thing so you don't need to worry about taking this off to shower or wash your hands because sterling silver does not leave that green ring on your finger like the fake stuff does. One of my favorite things about this ring is that the pumpkins are not uniform, they are different shapes, have different stems and more because as we all know pumpkins in real life don't look exactly alike. So far it has not managed to get caught on anything like my clothing, my hair, etc and the stems haven't poked into my finger since it sits pretty flush with my skin. I don't really see myself taking this ring off anytime soon, even when it is not Halloween I will still be wearing this I enjoy it so much. The ring varies in price depending on the size and type of material you select, my ring in sterling silver size 8.5 costs $75 plus shipping. Not a fan of pumpkins? Sometimes starting your period can add extra stress to an already stressful and hectic week and it makes you just want to break down and cry, but thankfully their is a very helpful and wonderful company called TomBoxes who wants to help you out each month. TomBoxes stands for "Time of the Month boxes" and it is aimed to provide you with not only pads or tampons but also with extra goodies to help brighten your day. Each box will receive a mixture of makeup, jewelry and some kind of candy and they have a option where you can double up on the makeup and jewelry you'll receive.




I really like that you are able to select from several different pad/tampon brands including Tampax, Always & more so you can be sure you will get a product you will use. The box I received had a box of Playtex sport tampons which are a great product! I received the double up box which means I received more jewelry & makeup than what comes in the basic monthly box. The items in my box that are included in the basic boxes are a "Have hope" silver bangle (Retail $10)  which looks great, it is simple and inspirational, California mango extreme creme travel size (Retail $2), Iris belle cherry plum matte lipstick (Retail $10), Fran Wilson Professional Quality pumice sponge (retail $4) & Pumpkin caramels from The Little Red Hen. The Iris Belle lipstick is a lovely shade and is right up my alley so I was happy to see it included in this box. I didn't really like the caramels the pumpkin flavor was a little overwhelming but that is just my personal opinion I am not a huge fan of pumpkin spice.

















The products that were included and aren't in the basic box but are in the "Double up" box were as follows; Turqoise Arrow Dangle Earrings (Retail $11), Iris Belle coral red liquid matte lipstick (Retail $10), Hikari eye shadow in bone (Retail $13) and Be A Bombshell eye crayon in angel eyes (Retail $5). The Be A Bombshell eye crayon is perfect because you can use it as a base under your eye shadow and it glides on smoothly and evenly helping you create the perfect eye shadow base. The earrings are a lovely color and they are also light weight so they won't weigh on your ear lobes. I also love the color of the eye shadow they sent. I am over all very happy with this box and think it is the perfect subscription box for all women out there. Basic boxes start at $16 a month which is a great deal, the month's box I received included $26 worth of product not including the candy or the tampons, and a double up box is $6 more than the basic and the box I received had an extra $39 worth of products so it is 100% worth the price. They also have an additional option where they will include a 4pack of Venus razor blades for an additional $12 a month.

Blue Agave Creations sells an assortment of Jewelry which includes living lockets and fun bracelets, they are still fairly new so they don't have a ton listed in their shop at the moment but if you keep an eye on the shop they will be coming out with more listings soon! So far the products they do have are pretty cute and can all be customized which is something I always appreciate when it comes to jewelry. Blue Agave Creations is run by a young woman named T.J who is a mom to a handsome little boy and step-mom to two beautiful little girls, when she isn't creating jewelry or spending time with her kids she works full time in a day-care. To help get things started and bumping for her because I know how hard it is being a full time mom, working full time and trying to start your dream of owning your own small shop I agreed to host this giveaway for her and hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy hosting giveaways.
