May LootCrate Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

The May LootCrate theme was 'Power' and it featured a number of products featuring what power means to LootCrate things that are unstoppable, unrelenting and unbeatable.

The crate included a Hulk Q-Figure, A Exclusive Warcraft  T-shirt, A exclusive Dragon Ball Z Key chain, A Infinity Gauntlet oven mitt, and the monthly collectable pin. Shortly after receiving the box I received an email letting me know the oven mitt wasn't quite up to par for use in the kitchen, the fabrics are a bit too thin and it wasn't protecting people from the heat so I was asked not to use the glove. It is nice they send out emails alerting people of any issues that might arise, this is the first time it has happened though, normally their products are well made and sturdy. When it comes to their shirts they run small so I would suggest buying one size above what you normally wear to make sure it fits correctly. Over all I was pretty pleased with the items in this box as were my kids, my son took off with the Hulk figure and my daughter kept the Dragon Ball Z key chain she was very excited to see it when we opened the box. My favorite thing about this subscription box is that there is usually something for everyone in our home.

January '16 LootCrate Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

I only liked half  of the January LootCrate box but my mother absolutely loved the half I didn't like, the theme for the month was "Invasion" and it featured a number of alien related products including a few X-files themed items. My mother was a big fan of The X-files when I was younger, but if I am being completely honest I didn't like one of the episodes scared me when I was little and after that I wanted nothing to do with that show.

The January box featured a X-files themed T-shirt, a Face hugger plush, a Space Invaders mini alien vinyl figure, a X-files flash light, a Multipass from the Fifth Element, a large rubber band, a set of batteries (for the flashlight), two mini posters and the monthly collectable pin.

My kids grabbed the face hugger right away because they thought he was cute and cuddly, if only they knew what face huggers were really like I don't think they would have been so fast to grab him and squish their face onto him. My favorite item was the Multipass, The Fifth Element was one of my favorite movies growing up and this brought back all the laughs and excitement I remember from watching the movie and it also made me want to watch it again since it's been a few years since I've played it.

I also love the mini posters, the images are crisp and clear and the colors are bright and vibrant, I can't wait to get frames for these and hang them up in my hallway. The flashlight I received in my box was broken and does not work, on the inside of the flashlight it is missing one of the metal springs that helps hold the batteries in and finishes the connection from one end to the other so that was slightly disappointing because I can use a flash light for my car. LootCrate is also stepping up their monthly collectible pin game, this month instead of having the small round metal pin which can easily break they had a sturdy metal pin which has more texture and shape to it then how they previously were, along with that each months pin unlocks something digital online. I am not completely sure what the rubber band is for, I think it was added to my box on accident since it doesn't go with any of the other goodies in the box and the monthly magazine didn't say anything about it.

November LootCrate Box!!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

Please excuse the late posting on this I've been away handling family matters. One of my favorite things that I look forward to every month is when my LootCrate arrives, you never know what you are going to get and every time opening that box feels like Christmas morning. Every month it is the same, I avoid any talk about that months LootCrate until it arrives aside from seeing what the theme will be I don't like to spoil the surprises so I wait patiently until the LootCrate arrives. Each month the crates are shipped on the 19th and arrive between the 20th-24th depending on where you live (international buyers may get it later than this).

The November LootCrate theme was 'Combat' and it featured a number of fun products including a Cute But Deadly magnet set, a Fallout 4 Vault Boy bobble head, TMNT Shredder sunglasses, The Hunger Games Mockingjay part 2 pin, Street fighter hyper looting comic book, A Cute But Deadly mystery figure and a monthly collectible LootCrate button.

My favorite thing in this box was the Cute But Deadly magnet set and mystery figure, I don't personally haven't played a lot of games by Blizzard I think these characters are highly adorable and couldn't wait to showcase these magnets on my fridge. My son loved the TMNT sunglasses and was excited to take them with us on our car ride the following day, I have to admit these glasses look slightly silly but they are fun to wear. All of the items in this box are well made and offer a fun assortment of products from different games/movies which is what makes the mystery so exciting because you can end up with almost anything in your LootCrate. If you are extra lucky you have a chance at winning the monthly Mega crate the November crate had goods worth over $2000 in it.

LootCrate September Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

When I found out that the September LootCrate box was going to have an item from the show Supernatural in it I was beyond excited, Supernatural is one of my favorite shows and I couldn't wait to see what the goodie was. The September LootCrate theme was "Summon" and it contained a number of items that are all pretty fun.

The September box included a Pikachu hat which has adorable pokeball pom-poms on the end, a Homer Simpson Golden Buddha, a Hearthstone Foam Stress Ball, a Supernatural 1967 Chevy Impala replica matchbox car, and Hearthstone Collectible Coin and Card Code along with the monthly collectible pin. I was very excited about the 1967 Chevy Impala which is the car model they drive on the TV show Supernatural, I do have to say this is more for collection purposes then for using as an actual toy, it seems like it would be easy to break so I am keeping mine in the box on my collection shelf. The Pikachu hat is pretty adorable and it is soft to the touch which is wonderful because who wants a hat that makes their head itch? My daughter loves this hat and looks forward to wearing it once the weather cools down a bit. The stress ball is a fun little item which is perfect for keeping at your desk if you have a stressful job or small minions around the house causing messes which could lead to stress. My son enjoys the stress ball and calls it his squishy rock so it can be fun for kids as well. The Homer I am not too excited about, but then again I am not big into The Simpsons merchandise however if you are a fan of collecting their products this is a cute little statue that seems well made.

June LootCrate Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

Today is the day! What day is that? The day the new LootCrate arrives of course :) and I am quite excited to share this months crate with you because I 100% love every item that was sent in this months crate. This months theme is "Cyber" and features lots of fun robot products.

Right away I noticed the Optimus Prime shirt! I have been a fan of Transformers since I was a kid and Bumble Bee along with Optimus were always my favorites so I was very happy to see it, sadly I am unsure if i can squeeze my chest into this shirt as their shirts run a little small. Next I found a box, I was curious to see what it was because it was placed face down in the box to keep you in suspense even after you open the box. Inside was a Terminator Genisys Endo Kill replica, this is awesome in two ways, the Terminator movies are fantastic of course and my house is decorated in skulls, dragons and the like so this will fit in perfectly with the decor I already have. My kids thought the Terminator skull was pretty neat as well and started asking a bunch of questions about the movie and about robots.

After removing the box that contained the skull  I found the monthly collectable pin, and a Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keychain. In the photo the keychain might look like it is just a piece of plastic but it is fact metal, there is no way this keychain is going to break in half! and it does have a little bit of weight to it. I think the keychain is a neat concept, at the moment I don't think many people would know what it is right away by looking at it because it looks like a chocolate bar with a golden end just a tiny bit, But I think once the movie comes out more people would recognize it.

Under the Shirt,Skull, Keychain and Pin I found something half folded, half rolled up and wondered what it was. When I flipped it over I let out a squeal of happiness, it was a Borderlands Zero game mat or some could call it an oversized mouse pad which is what I will be using it as. Borderlands is in my top three video games, my fiance and I have spent hours upon hours playing the game it offers an endless amount of fun so I was stoked to receive this. The crate also included a  Future Replicant Corporate Lab Patch, BattleStar Galactica Cylon Target Poster set, and a Glow-in-the-dark Circuit Gadget pouch and some Nerd HQ stickers. All the items in this months crate will be put to good use.

May LootCrate Box Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

Tomorrow the June Lootcrate will arrive but for now let's take a look at what came in last months LootCrate boxes. The May 2015 LootCrate has been one of my personal favorite crates so far, the them was "Unite" and held some awesome goodies. Upon opening the box the first thing that caught my eye was the Green Ranger T-shirt, it looks awesome and is quite comfortable! Again I do have to remind you that the LootCrate shirts run small so I suggest buying a size larger than you actually wear or you might not get to wear the awesome shirts they send.

Next was my personal favorite item in the box a Avengers: Age of Ultron car decal, it features the whole squad and it really pops. My second favorite item in this box was the Marvel Super Heroes ice tray that has ice cubes shaped like some of your favorite heroes. My kids love getting drinks with Irons mans face or Captain Americas shield in it because it makes the drinks fun, plus the ice cubes are thick so they last a while. Also included in the box was a set of Team Fortress 2 buttons, A Bravest warriors comic, A MAD Magazine with special discount off their magazine subscription, Marvel sneaker laces, A Rick & Morty puzzle and of course the monthly collectable pin. The total price of a Lootcrate box is just under $20 a month, taking a look at everything that comes in the boxes I would say that it is worth it! Where else can you get an awesome T-shirt AND other goodies for that kind of price? Will you get something here and there you don't like? Yes, but all subscription boxes are that way it is the surprise of not knowing what you are going to get that is the exciting part.
