BumbleBee DVD Pack Giveaway!

I always enjoyed watching the Transformers cartoons when I was younger, and I still enjoy watching them now! I even have a Transformers tattoo that I had done several years ago. My favorite Transformer has always been BumbleBee, so I was pretty excited when I heard they were making a movie just about Bumblebee.

BumbleeBee was pretty adorable in this movie, I enjoyed his interactions with Charlie (the main girl). He has always had great interactions with the humans he has come in contact with, and has always given everyone some great laughs to watch so I liked seeing more one on one scenes with him. Certain characters I think were a little over the top/cheesy (Sorry John Cena) but over all I enjoyed the movie.

Writing gloves for a writer or book lover!

Aside from books have you ever wondered what to gift the book lover in your life for a birthday or Christmas? Sometimes it can be hard picking out books as a gift for someone if you don't know what type of books they enjoy reading, but Literary Book Gifts has you covered because they have a wide range of great gifts for book lovers. Including bags, gloves, shirts and more.

I was recently able to review a pair of writing gloves for a review, they are finger-less and come in thirteen different colors. This pair of gloves is made of a mixture of cashmere wool, cotton, polyester and a microfiber blend giving you a durable and breathable pair of gloves. They retail for $52. For the gloves I received for a review I selected the color black, mainly because it is the color I wear most so I wanted to be able to wear these out and have them match my outfit.

I enjoy wearing these gloves when I am writing in my journal, reading my books. I also enjoy wearing them when I am working on the computer at work because my office gets a bit chilly and my hands get cold because of it, plus look at how cute they are. My gloves are easy to travel with because they fold up into small little squares so they won't take up a lot of space in your bag, however I would tuck them into a clean pocket by themselves or in a small bag because they seem to attract pet/people hair. The gloves are a bit stretchy so you are able to get them over your hands without any issues. I haven't had any issues with them slipping down either, they stay securely in place. While I do think these gloves are comfortable, they aren't as soft as I thought they were going to be since they have 35% cashmere wool in the blend.

Price wise I'd have to say that I've sadly have bought gloves at a much lower price in the past that are just as comfortable as these. My favorite thing about these gloves is that even though they are finger-less they have a thumb hole which I really like plus the band around the wrist isn't tight so you aren't left with an imprint on your skin from where the fabric lines are. They do help keep my hands warm, you'd think my finger tips would get cold but because they keep a large portion of my hand warm it helps keep my fingers warmer as well.

Curl Therapy Shampoo + Conditioner from PURA D'OR

My hair can act like a moody teenager, it is never sure exactly how it wants to look or how it wants to act. One day it might look like large loose curls as if I'd use a curling iron on it, other days it is like large ocean waves and other days it is just a wavy frizzy mess with a curl here and there. Today I have a short review to share with you on a set of shampoo & conditioner I received from PURA D'OR to review. Each bottle retails at $19.99 for a 16oz bottle.

I received two products from the curl therapy line. This line is specially created to boost the shine of your hair, add luster while also encouraging your hairs shape and structure to reduce hair frizz. My husband doesn't like the way this product smells when in use but likes the lingering smell once it has been rinsed out. It kind of smells similar to one of my favorite face washes, it is pretty hard to describe how it smells has almost a minty sandalwood scent.

I like that I don't need a large amount to evenly coat my hair while washing it, and it rinses out thoroughly without issue. My hair feels and looks great after using this set, most days I need a little bit of anti-frizz spray however after using this I don't need it as my hair calms down quite a bit from it's normal state. My hair in the photo above was during the same day that I used this set in the morning, I was pretty happy with how my hair day was , my hair seemed to fall in just the right place and looked healthy + shiny without looking overly greasy like some shampoo/conditioner sets can. This hair set has made me pretty happy and I enjoy using it.

Creating summer fun with Buzz Bee Toys + A Giveaway!

My kids spend a lot of time outside, during the cooler times of the year they enjoy playing on the swing set, running around and playing on the trampoline and during the summer they are constantly in the pool. I am always on the look out for fun, entertaining toys for the kids to play with so when I was offered a chance to work with Buzz Bee Toys I was pretty excited. As an added bonus they are hosting a giveaway as well! For my review I received a water gun and a dart gun.

Adventure Force Power Raider (MSRP $19.84, Ages 6+) - This water gun is designed with three different nozzles, a 65oz water capacity and a battery operated red-dot-scope so you can pinpoint your targets and it states it can squirt up to 40 feet away. 

The scope is actually pretty easy to snap onto the water gun and easy to remove, it is also quite simple to use. The water gun itself gets slightly heavy when it is full so I'd suggest using both hands while wielding it, it fills up quickly and pumps up without any issues. We haven't actually measured the distance it shoots, but it doesn't seem like it goes quite as far as it says but it does reach a pretty decent distance for a few moments before it starts to lose its pressure. The kids have been having a lot of fun with this in and out of the pool, it is a great way to help keep you cool during the summer. The scope light only works inside of the scope, your opponent won't see it on their skin or clothing so sneak attacks are easier plus it means you won't accidentally get the laser in anyone's eyes.

Adventure Force Thermal Tracker (MSRP $24.97, Ages 8+) - "The Adventure Force Thermal Tracker by Buzz Bee Toys provides unbeatable target detection. Its heatseeking scope detects a heat source up to 60 feet away, and its crosshairs will turn red when on target! Coupled with blasting power of up to 100 feet and rail adapter, your opponent's escape is near impossible!"

This dart gun is a ton of fun, so much so that my husband and I have been the main people using this dart gun while the kids have been using their smaller dart guns. The thermal tracking is pretty neat, the light changes from green, to blue and also to red to tell you when is the best time to shoot. When the light turns red it meals you are pointing it at a warm target and you can shoot that target. The scope is slightly off though it isn't pin point, we noticed you need to aim a little higher though if you are looking directly through the scope in order to hit your target. You are able to load ten darts at a time, they load easily without getting jammed into the compartment and they shoot out with ease. It is light weight which makes it ideal for running around the yard, plus it is quiet so you can sneak up on your opponent. The dart bullets shot a long distance so you don't need to be worried about being close to your intended target.

Rocking out with Rose Rockers Headphones!

I use headphones frequently during the week, I listen to music while I work out and when I am at work I enjoy either listening to music or watching shows on my phone to help stay awake since I work in a small quiet office. Some headphones can be pretty uncomfortable and hurt your ears after long periods of wear so I wanted something more comfortable. I usually use ear buds that go into your ears but I wanted to try out a pair of over the ears headphones to see if they are a bit more comfortable.

I recently came across a great set of headphones called Rose Rockers, headphones made for women by women. The headphones come in three different colors; Rose - Pink, Violet - Purple & Sky - Blue. This line was created by a woman named Nicole Stillings also known as DJ Rose and the company is 100% woman owned. You can purchase a set of headphones for $98, they can be connected directly to your electronic device or it has bluetooth capability so you can go wireless, plus it has a microphone for phone calls.

The headphones feature Luxe vegan leather with a folding design for easy storage in the drawstring bag it comes with. For a review I selected a pair of headphones in "Sky", I like that the flowers aren't just pure blue instead they have pops of purple, yellow and redish brown inside of the flowers. If needed the headphones can be adjusted and they are actually quite comfortable on your head and around your ears. These headphones are adjustable, I found they were at just the right height for my head so I didn't need to adjust them. They are full sized headphones and adorned with floral decorations, yet they are still light weight so they sit just right over your head. I have naturally wavy/curly hair that is normally a bit puffy, I was a bit worried about how it would look when my hair was down, however I am pretty happy with how they fit and how they look.

I was quite surprised at the sound quality of these headphones, the bass in them sounds amazing after playing some of my favorites I decided to play some techno on them and the sound was perfect. How loud do they get? They can be turned up quite a bit, I plugged these into my MP3 player and I turned my players volume all the way up, the music was sharp, clear and loud without hurting your ears. My ears were comfortable the entire time wearing them, and they are so cute! The first night I tested these out, I was just going to listen to a song or two while trying them out, but I ended up enjoying them so much I played a whole play list while dancing in my room. I haven't tried out the bluetooth part of the headphones yet so I am unsure how easy they connect to a compatible device, but I will update this once I do. I do wish they would eventually offer other color options as well such as rainbow, black and red or just black for those more on the rocker/goth side.

10 gift ideas for National Best Friends Day!

National Best Friends day is coming up on June 8th! National Best Friends day is similar to "Galentines Day" where you celebrate your gal friends, but it focuses more on those who you would consider your best friends. Although you aren't required to purchase your best friend a gift or even celebrate the holiday if you aren't into the smaller "national holidays", I wanted to put together a small list of gift ideas for the occasion. All of the ideas range from a few dollars to a little more expensive so there is an option for everyone.

1. A Memory Jar or Box. Stop at your local hobby store or dollar store and purchase a jar, small box or cute vase, a pack of Popsicle sticks and a sharpie or two. On each stick write a memory you and your friend both remember, reasons you love having them in your life, silly jokes or sayings to make them smile (you can color coordinate them if you wish). Give the jar to your friend and tell them to pull a stick from the jar anytime they are feeling down and need a pick me up.

2. Best Friend Bracelets. Many stores carry Best Friend bracelets, many of which are simple yet cute so they go with an everyday outfit. If you can't find a set you like in store, amazon and Etsy offer dozens of great options at affordable prices. The set shown above I found on Amazon for less than $5 for two bracelets, each one shows a infinity loop and a heart combined, I like that it looks adorable yet it isn't too over the top.

3. Have a movie night. Depending on if you want to go out or stay home a movie night is great for either option. You can rent a movie or two from Redbox and buy some snacks, or you can see a newer movie in theaters.

4. Go out & get your nails done. I always find it so relaxing to go get Mani's or Pedi's with my best friend, you get to relax in a nice massage chair while your hands and feet get pampered while you chit chat. Groupon has some great coupons for pedis/manis if you are on a budget.

5. Have a pamper night at home. Feel like having a night in? Why not have a pamper night at home? Invite your gal pal over to pamper yourselves with face masks, paint each others nails, watch a movie and make some ice cream with toppings! On a budget? The dollar store sells a lot of great products that will help you have a fantastic pamper night in without breaking the bank.

6. Buy a plant or flowers. Even though some of us won't admit it, we all secretly love when we get surprised with flowers or a new plant. I am more on the plant side because they last way longer and you get to see them bloom more than once.

7. Get A Caricature or Cartoon image done. Getting a caricature of yourself can be a lot of fun, I've done it twice and both times it was a neat experience. You can do it in person or order one online using an image of the both of you, you can get a regular image drawn or get one of the two of you dressed as your favorite characters, etc. there are a ton of possibilities.

8. Matching goodies. If you and your best friend(s) are the type who enjoy having matching goodies whether it is shirts, bags, jewelry, etc. Etsy and Amazon both have a ton of fun "Best friends" matching goods. A set that I found recently and found pretty adorable was a shirt set that said "Double" and "Trouble" and featured Chip & Dale.

9. Gift basket or Care Package. If your friend lives a long distance away, but you still want to send them something a small care package is a wonderful idea. You can put a few things they enjoy into it and add in a little piece of home as well, adding a cute card is always a nice touch.

10. Get matching tattoos. This one depends on your budget and how close you and your best friend are. If you can, and know you'll want to keep it forever a cute matching best friends tattoo would be a fun way to celebrate best friends day. My best friend and I have known each other since the second grade, when we are able to and funds allow (she lives in another state) we plan on getting cute matching Disney inspired tattoos.

Almost every child I've known has loved Dinosaurs, there is so much to learn about them and the thought of seeing one is exciting. If you did happen to find a way to hatch a Dinosaur egg, how would you take care of it? There isn't a lot of information out there on how to take care of a dinosaur, but you don't need to worry because this book will help teach you everything there is about taking care of a dinosaur. My kids thought this was a fun book, they had a few laughs along the way and can't wait to read this book again.

Play ball with Sports Box Co! + Giveaway.

My children have recently become more interested in playing sports, specifically baseball so we've been heading out to the park to practice as often as possible. It is been a great bonding experience for all of us, plus we are getting exercise and having fun. I recently came upon a subscription box called "Sports Box Co." I knew it was right up our alley. Sports Box Co. is a monthly subscription box that will send you a box stuffed with sports related goodies, it could be gear, accessories, collectibles and more. At the moment there are six different sports boxes to select from.

For a review we received a "Batter Up! Box" which is their baseball box, not only do you get to select which sport you want but there are SIX different baseball boxes to choose from. After reading the descriptions I decided that the "Coach Pitch Box" would be the best option for us, because it is meant for children ages 6-8 who want to improve their skills but have fun.

My son was quite excited when he spotted the Sports Box Co. package when it arrived in the mail and couldn't wait to open it to see what was inside. The box was well packed it was crazy to see how much came out of the box! First up in the box was a pack of six balls which I wasn't expecting since it didn't seem like any large gear could fit inside of the box.

We also found a bat grip trainer, a stick of face paint, a pack of baseball cards, a collectible squish teeny mates, a UV protective sleeve and a pack of hat liners. It was a lot of fun to open and discover everything this box had to offer, each one of the products is going to be used and will provide useful. The bat grip is one of our favorite things from the box, we haven't been able to use it yet but the kids are excited to use it to get a better grip on the baseball bat. I think it will also help keep their hand safe while playing. This subscription is $29.99 a month which includes free shipping in the US, I think this is a fair price for everything in the box considering several of these products I wasn't aware existed. This subscription company is great for all ages, I highly recommend looking into this box. Even if you aren't starting off in the sport they offer boxes for more advanced players. The shipping was quick and I enjoy the printing on the box, it added extra pizzaz to the subscription.
