Harlem Globetrotters Live!

I am not really a fan of any sport, however one show I am more than happy to see is the Harlem Globetrotters. They are not just basketball, but a whole spectacular that is enjoyable for the whole family. I've known about the Globetrotters since I was young as my great grandmother loved watching them every time they were on TV, so getting to see them live is extra exciting because it reminds me of her. They are currently on their 2023 tour & recently stopped in Arizona for a few days, we were lucky to catch one of their shows while they were here.

We had a lot of fun the last time we seen them so the kids were excited to see them again this year. There are always fans of all ages from small babies to seniors, and everyone always looks like they are having a fantastic time. Best of all the shows are always different, our experience this time was completely different from the last along with a change up in the roster so we were able to see players we haven't seen yet. The entire event is fast paced & will keep you on your toes waiting to see what happens next. It is crazy how quickly the show goes by, you'll be having so much fun you won't even be watching the time. As I mentioned, they aren't playing just basketball but they are also putting on a show so it breaks up the game a bit, gets the crowed laughing & happy.

I like that they have two different show times during the day, one at 2pm and another at 7pm. This time around we decided to go with the 2pm show. We had a lot of fun at the show, there are so pretty cool tricks to see & they always involve the crowd which adds an intimate setting to it. Looking for ways to save some money while at an event like this with the family? The footprint center where this event was held recently started a program where you can get a free ride on the metro to the event (and back) with your ticket to the event. So if you don't mind a slightly longer commute you can park at a park & ride then ride for free to the event saving $30+ on parking. I would also suggest eating ahead of time as the food/drinks can be a bit pricey at the venue.

After the show the team sticks around to sign shirts, basketballs, etc. so if you are a big fan & want an autograph be sure not to miss it. If you don't have something for them to sign, there is merchandise for sale around the venue. Check out their tour schedule to see if they are headed to a city near you, you won't regret going to one of their shows. I will be sharing some highlights from the show over on my instagram page.

Harlem Globetrotters Live!

To be honest, I have never been a big fan of sports, however the Harlem Globetrotters is different when it comes to me wanting to watch them. They provide more than just a game of basketball, it is a show and a whole experience that is a lot of fun to see in person (or on TV). My great-grandma was a big fan of theirs and always watched them on TV so I remember seeing some of the crazy things they did as a kid watching it with her. My husband enjoys them as well & has always wanted to see them live so when I was provided with the chance to be able to take my husband and kids to see a live show, how could I say no?

The Harlem Globetrotters recently came to Arizona and played not one, but three different cities. We attended the game in downtown Phoenix at the Footprint Center. Getting into the center and into our seats went smoothly and both teams were out on the court practicing before the game so that everyone could watch.

In total the show was about two hours long and the entire time you were either smiling, shouting with excitement or laughing at something that was going on. All of the players really put a lot into their performances and it showed, they all seemed like they were having a great time which in turn put the crowd into an even better mood. Some of the seats were court side and the players interacted with some of the members sitting in those seats which was fun to see, one of the husbands was drawn out to the floor to dance with a player and he was even swept up off his feet by the player.

My family had a great time watching the crazy moves the players were able to pull off along with some of the silly scripted parts like Hammer giving his number out to a woman in the crowed then getting a phone call right after that was put onto speaker, who was calling? A bill collector trying to get him to pay a past due bill, and the whole time he was on the phone he was still playing ball. We also had a lot of fun watching both of the mascots they had come out and do performances, we especially loved Big G. It is an event I would happily attend again, and it is an event I would recommend to anyone looking for something new and exciting to go see even if you aren't a basketball fan.

Play ball with Sports Box Co! + Giveaway.

My children have recently become more interested in playing sports, specifically baseball so we've been heading out to the park to practice as often as possible. It is been a great bonding experience for all of us, plus we are getting exercise and having fun. I recently came upon a subscription box called "Sports Box Co." I knew it was right up our alley. Sports Box Co. is a monthly subscription box that will send you a box stuffed with sports related goodies, it could be gear, accessories, collectibles and more. At the moment there are six different sports boxes to select from.

For a review we received a "Batter Up! Box" which is their baseball box, not only do you get to select which sport you want but there are SIX different baseball boxes to choose from. After reading the descriptions I decided that the "Coach Pitch Box" would be the best option for us, because it is meant for children ages 6-8 who want to improve their skills but have fun.

My son was quite excited when he spotted the Sports Box Co. package when it arrived in the mail and couldn't wait to open it to see what was inside. The box was well packed it was crazy to see how much came out of the box! First up in the box was a pack of six balls which I wasn't expecting since it didn't seem like any large gear could fit inside of the box.

We also found a bat grip trainer, a stick of face paint, a pack of baseball cards, a collectible squish teeny mates, a UV protective sleeve and a pack of hat liners. It was a lot of fun to open and discover everything this box had to offer, each one of the products is going to be used and will provide useful. The bat grip is one of our favorite things from the box, we haven't been able to use it yet but the kids are excited to use it to get a better grip on the baseball bat. I think it will also help keep their hand safe while playing. This subscription is $29.99 a month which includes free shipping in the US, I think this is a fair price for everything in the box considering several of these products I wasn't aware existed. This subscription company is great for all ages, I highly recommend looking into this box. Even if you aren't starting off in the sport they offer boxes for more advanced players. The shipping was quick and I enjoy the printing on the box, it added extra pizzaz to the subscription.

PRIZE ALERT:
One lucky winner is going to win one of of their choice.

This is open to US Residents only! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email! GoSports Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by GoSports for the review free of charge.****

GoSports isn't just a sports equipment company, they also sell a wide variety of games that are fun for the whole family. I was recently sent a review box that contained a GoSports Premium Solid Wood 4 in a row game, GoSports Giant Toppling Tower with bonus rules, and a GoSports Mini over the door basketball hoop with 3 basketballs.

GoSports Premium Solid Wood 4 in a row game; The 4 in a row game comes with it's own carrying case, everything fits in it perfectly and it has handles to make transporting easy. I love that this game is completely made from wood it feels a lot more structurally sound than its plastic counter part. The stand itself is pretty tall and wide so you can see all the chips clearly, we haven't had any issues with putting this together, taking it apart to carry it or with playing it.

GoSports Giant Toppling Tower with bonus rules; The blocks for this game are huge! Does that look like one of my kids hands above? Due to the size of the block it would appear to be the hand of a small human however it is actually my hand. This toppling tower stands at 2.5 Feet tall and depending on how the blocks are stacked it will grow to five feet. What are the bonus rules? On the underside of each block there is a number that matches a sheet that comes with the game, each number has a different rule you must complete to go with the number you selected. You can choose to play with the rules or without it is completely up to you. This also comes with a handy carrying case that everything stores away into quite nicely.

GoSports Mini over the door basketball hoop; This comes with the pump you will need to inflate the balls along with everything you need to hang the basketball hoop over the door. To give my kids room to play I hung this up on my front door, you can see the hanger a bit from the outside but I don't mind because my kids have a blast playing with this basketball hoop. It fits onto almost any door frame and is very simple to get on and off, it simply slides right onto the door. You will need to assemble it when it first arrives but that only take a moment. So far it has held up and hasn't fallen down once, there is just the right amount of height between the ceiling and the hoop to get the ball in.

All of these GoSports products along with many more can be found on their Amazon shop page linked at the top of this post. Amazon is not affiliated with this review.

GoSports Soccer Ball Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by GoSports for the review free of charge.****

My kids love going to the park so we go as often as the weather allows but it is always the same thing, we go the kids play on the play set for a bit then when they are board we go home. So we've been thinking of other things to do with them at the park and the kids decided it would be fun to be able to kick a soccer ball around which is where GoSports came into play. They sell a wide assortment of sports and outdoor activity sets so we were excited they agreed to a review.

I was sent a six piece size 4 soccer ball set that came with a mesh carrying/storage bag and a ball pump. The soccer balls were really easy to pump up, my four year old was able to fill most of them by himself however the pump gave out and broke apart on the fifth ball but thankfully I had a backup pump so it wasn't that big of an issue. The soccer balls seem like they are made to be pretty sturdy and will be able to take quite the beating, we've tested these out in the yard a bit but haven't actually been able to take them out yet so the kids are excited to go out and put them to the real test. Being a size four they are the perfect size for not only the kids but for my fiance and I as well. The white of the material they used seems to stain easily so I am not counting on these staying the nice white color for long but that is a good thing because it means they've been put to use. You can find a selection of products sold by Gosports on Amazon including sports equipment and lawn games like their giant dice set you can use for backyard lawn games. The six piece soccer ball set sells for $39.99 which comes out to about $6.67 per ball.

What is your favorite outdoor activity?
