Disney On Ice Frozen Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions are used (both good and bad), they are solely my own & they may vary from others. I received four passes to the event for promotional purposes. It was provided by Disney On Ice & The Encore Agency for the review free of charge.**

If you haven't been in attendance at a Disney On Ice performance then you are really missing out! I remember going to Disney On Ice once when I was younger, it was during a girl scout outing and it was a lot of fun. My kids have been to Disney Live and Disneyland but they've never been to Disney On Ice so when I was presented with a chance to promote the upcoming show in exchange for tickets to go I was all in. My son and husband weren't super interested in going because the theme was Frozen so we decided to turn it into a girls night! My SIL and my daughter's best friend joined her and I for the show.

Like with most big events if you are wanting to eat at the show or purchase souvenirs be prepared to spend a decent amount such as $10 for a box of popcorn, though some of the treats are well worth the cost. We decided to eat before the show seeing as it started at 7pm, but we did pick up some pretzel bites and a drink to share. Seating was easy to get to and if you get lost they have plenty of staff at the venue to help direct you to the right place.

I have to admit when it comes to events like this I am a big emotional baby, as soon as the show started my eyes started to water and I felt like I was going to cry. Not because I was sad but because I was so excited and happy that my emotions just got the best of me. I was the same mess the first time we were able to visit Disneyland, I had never been there myself and I was so excited and amazed we were able to save up to take our kids there so I cried a lot during the day but happy tears. Before they jumped into the story of Frozen, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy came out to introduce a number of Disney characters who all performed a dance together to kick off the ice show. I was extra impressed by the performer in the Pumba costume because they were ice skating on all fours! (Baby Sven was also on all fours).

The show was a lot of fun, there were so many performers all skating at once it was amazing to see how well choreographed they all were. I was amazed at the size of some of the costumes and the fact that they had so many pieces of the show that were remotely controlled from off stage, I honestly would be a little frightened about being on top of a stair case being controlled by someone via a controller. Everyone worked so well together to keep the story flowing, keep the crowed entertained and make sure everyone was safe from tripping over props. The crew really has everything down to a tee to keep the audience focused on a certain area of the stage so they can set up the other area like sneaky ninjas.

Along side graceful ice skating, gorgeous costumes (Disney does such an amazing job!) and fun sing along songs they also included some surprise firework like explosions when Elsa uses her magic, fun lighting and a blow up monster that was a lot of fun to see. They perform the movie in two segments giving you a break in between to use the bathroom, get a soda refill or just stretch your legs which was nice because of how restless kids can be. All in all we had a great time and the girls had a blast they are sure to remember for sometime.

My favorite part of the show was when Olaf started singing about summer because a variety of performers came out dressed as different summer themed things like bees and flowers. I have now officially seen Frozen live at Disneyland and have watched it on Ice, but I still haven't seen the movie itself. The girls and I really enjoyed the costumes as well, I know Disney always puts a lot of effort into making their costumes look as similar to the movie costume as possible but it is mind blowing what their designers can do. Take Sven for example, this large costume piece could have turned out looking kind of creepy or just plain ugly but he is so adorable it makes you want to run up and hug him.

The practice and training the performers do really pays off and shows in the performances that they provide, instead of just watching the show they encourage you to sing/dance along and it helps make it feel like you are part of the show.  The next time Disney On Ice comes to your home town I highly suggest attending the show.

Kidtopia 2018!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. I received four tickets to the Kidtopia 2018 through Entercom Communications in exchange for the promotional post below featuring the newest section of this center.**

Sometimes in the morning on the way to work if I am not listening to my MP3 player I enjoy listening to 94.5 Kool FM and for the last week or so I've been listening to them more and heard them talking about an event catered completely to kids for kids. My kids were very excited when I told them we were going to be headed out to the Kidtopia event today March 10th! The event was held at the Gilbert Civic Center out in Gilbert,AZ so it was about an hours drive for us but the kids didn't mind. The event was outside and the weather today was absolutely perfect for this event.

Once we started getting closer to the civic center the event was very easy to spot because they had a long row of giant inflatables and amusement park rides set up so we knew exactly where to go. The parking lot was easy to manage and we found a spot right away which was nice since we arrive about an hour after it started. Entrance was a breeze as well, they did a bag check and a wand check then we were on our way to having fun. They had dozens of sponsor tents set up for local businesses and brands that signed up for the event, some had crafting tables, others had spinning wheels where you could win prizes. My kids had a lot of fun with the spinning wheels because you never know what you might win!

Along with some smaller craft tables they also had one big crafting area, a dance zone, selfie galleries,  food trucks, games and more for the kids to enjoy. A few special guest starts such as In Real Life and Evie Clair stopped by to perform for the crowd and everything was set up pretty well allowing plenty of space for everyone to move around while enjoying the festivities.

I really like that they made this event suited for kids of all ages, there was something for each age group to do and enjoy plus they had some fun characters there (Spiderman & Elsa) visiting with the kids and taking pictures. It was also nice that all of the rides and activities were free to do with the entry ticket instead of having to pay to get in and then paying again for rides and games. Everyone was really friendly and helpful if you needed anything, I thought as a whole this was a great family related event to attend. I hope they decide to do another Kidtopia event next year and I look forward to seeing what it has to offer!

MacDonald's Ranch Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by MacDonald's Ranch for the review free of charge.****

Halloween isn't the same if you don't visit at least one pumpkin patch or fall festival, one of our favorite places is MacDonald's Ranch located in Scottsdale,Arizona. MacDonald's Ranch is located at 26540 N. Scottsdale Road Scottsdale,Az 85255. They are open year round for trail riding on horses, Stagecoach rides, and Cookouts they are also open seasonally from October 1st to October 31st offering a fun pumpkin patch for families.

The pumpkin patch is a great place to spend family time and it is perfect for young kids because of everything they offer. They have cow milking, duck races, conk the crow, pedal car races, horse rides, face paintings and more! All of their games were in working order and everyone playing them seemed to be enjoying themselves. Their petting zoo is the best kept petting zoo I've ever visited, you can really tell they care about their animals and the experience you have at the ranch. To get back to where you can select a pumpkin to take home you get onto a hay ride which takes you back to where there is a lovely display of pumpkins set up for you to look through for that perfect pumpkin. Pumpkins are $4-$12 depending on the size, they have a handy plywood board that you can try to fit the pumpkins through to see how much they cost. Hungry? They have a Blazing BBQ pit where you can grab lunch, a Kettle corn stand. Over all the ranch is highly enjoyable, I do suggest going early though because the parking spots will fill up fast. It is $10 per person to get in an worth every penny for building memories with your family.

Peter Pan 360 Tickets Giveaway!

***This is not a paid post, I will be receiving complimented tickets in exchange for this post. All opinions about this show are my own and may vary from others.****

Are you in Phoenix or the surrounding areas? I have a wonderful event and opportunity to share with you. A live event called Peter Pan 360 is heading to Scottsdale, what is Peter Pan 360? Escape to Neverland in a whole new way with this spectacular, innovative live stage production of PETER PAN that combines intimate theater-in-the-round and overhead surround CGI projection; with actors in dazzling flying sequences forty feet in the air and whimsical puppets that bring J.M. Barrie’s classic tale to fantastical life, creating a truly unique environmental theatrical experience! This event will be held at The Pavilions at Talking Stick in Scottsdale Presented in Association with Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts Opens January 13, 2016.

Fun facts:
-       Threesixty Theatre is a state of the art, climate-controlled tent and very intimate at only 13 rows deep!  There is not a bad seat in the house!
-       The tent is 100 feet high and takes over 4 days to build

The CGI Projection Screens make this version of PETER PAN unlike anything you have ever seen or experienced before!
-       The CGI is delivered by 12 video projectors each providing 30 degrees of the image. We use edge-blending software so that each projection blends seamlessly with those either side of it to create our continuous 360 degree virtual set.
-       The CGI provides 15,000 square feet of video, larger than the biggest imax cinema.
-       Each projector provides 20,000 lumens of light (1 Lumen = the level of light perceived by the human eye) A good home-cinema projector gives out approximately 2000 lm on average
-       The longest sequence of CGI in the show is the Flight to Neverland for which 400 square miles of Edwardian London was rendered for the 4½  minute flight. This involved the use of 300 computers running continuously for 2 weeks.

Want to Experience the magic? and see Peter Pan 360 for yourself? I am giving one lucky valley family a Four pack of tickets for the January 20th show. If you are interesting in buying tickets you can get 15% off your ticket purchase using the promo code BLOG15.
