January Beauty & The Book Giveaway!

The start of this month started off a little crazy so I am getting this posted slightly later than I had hoped, but there is no way I would skip out on hosting my monthly Beauty & The Book Giveaway! As promised this months theme is "Stitchmas in January". I've put together some fun Lilo & Stitch products along with some blue beauty products, Princess Belle snuck into the giveaway as well because the facemask packaging with her on it is blue.

I always like to add in a little recap of the month before! December was a fantastic month, it was a busy one but a great one. We try to take small trips together as a family to explore places that are close to home instead of buying a ton of gifts for the kids, this year we went to California & explored a few places, which I will of course be sharing here on my blog. Christmas itself was lovely, we had a good day with family then had a lazy day or two following it to unwind. We also celebrated our oldest child turning sixteen, it is crazy how quickly time has flown by and how big both our kids are getting.

I'll have some new reviews & some giveaways headed your way soon. I look forward to seeing what this year brings! Now let's get into everything that is included in this month's giveaway bundle.

December Beauty & The Book Giveaway!

December has arrived & the holiday spirit has arrived with it! It has been wonderful seeing a bunch of our neighbors putting up their holiday lights & you can bet our yard is fully decked out. It also means it is time for a new Beauty & The Book Giveaway to be put up! If you haven't been to my blog before, Welcome ❤ every month I host a "Beauty & The Book" Giveaway that combines my love of both. I usually pick out one or two books, then add in makeup + skincare goodies plus I usually like to include some other fun things as well. Some months there isn't really a theme & other month's I like diving into random themes depending on what I decide to buy for that month's bundle. Last month the giveaway was Harry Potter themed & this month I debated back and forth between just a Disney theme or a Stitchmas theme. As you can see Disney won that debate! So I've gone out and picked up several cute and fun Disney themed products and then added in some other makeup goodies for one lucky winner to enjoy.

Sometime within the next week I will also be posting a second Disney themed giveaway which will be hosted on my Instagram + TikTok page, so keep an eye out for that as well if you love Disney. As mentioned above I went back & forth between a Disney theme or Stitchmas theme so you may notice there is only one Stitch themed items in this month's bundle, why? I decided that I will be doing a Stichmas in January which will include several great Stitch collectables and blue themed makeup products.

Disney Real Littles Stitch bag Giveaway!

It doesn't matter how old I get, I still love Disney! One of my favorite Disney characters is Stitch from "Lilo & Stitch" and when ever I see cute Stitch things I like to pick them up for my little Stitch collection that I have. When I found out they came out with small Disney themed back packs via the line Real Littles that had mini stationary supplies in them, I set out to find one.

Not a single store near me had any of the Disney themed packs in stock, they would sell out too quickly. I would manage to find one random Disney backpack here and there, but never any of the Stitch or Nightmare Before Christmas so I was very excited when I finally managed to find a Stitch bag. Then the day after Christmas I did some basic grocery shopping, grabbed a few holiday clearance things and decided to take one more look and found two brand new boxes of these back packs that hadn't been touched yet so I managed to grab a Nightmare Before Christmas and an extra Stitch bag to use for a giveaway as I know there are lots of other people looking for these bags too. It has been nuts seeing that people online (eBay, etc.) are charging $30-$50 for one of these 😲 I wasn't hunting these down like crazy, I would pop into the toy section when ever I happened to be at the store but it took three maybe four months before finding any of these in stock.

Prize Alert: One lucky winner is going to win a Stitch themed Disney Real Littles backpack! (unopened, in box)

This is open World Wide! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Disney Villainous Board Game Review!

We are a board game loving family and we also love Disney so Villainous the board game from Ravensburge fits in perfectly to our board game collection. We play board games several times through out the week and enjoy pulling out this Disney based game on Saturday nights when we have our "Disney Night" where we watch two Disney movies and make Disney inspired/shaped foods.

The Villainous game has two larger base games and several expansions, today I will be sharing the original base version of the game. It retails for $35-$40 however you can keep an eye out for sales on the game to get it for a cheaper price. The game comes with six different characters to play as - The Queen of Hearts, Prince John, Captain Hook, Jafar, Ursala and Maleficent. The game is recommended for ages 10+ however my eight year old is able to play this game without any issues.

Each character has it's own goals to complete in order to win the game, you'll have your own set of playing cards and destiny cards which are specifically made for your villian that matches their realm. To win the game, you'll need to finish your villians goal and sabotage others along the way to prevent them from winning first, after all what kind of villian would you be if you helped out instead? Every character also has it's own home board known as your realm, and playing piece that is as unique as the character itself.

Depending on lady luck and how evil you feel like being the game came last anywhere from ten to fifty minutes and anything is possible you could play the same villian several times, but only win once or you could win every time once you get a hang of the character. Setting up the game is quite easy, you'll separate the playing cards from the destiny cards, placing one pile on either side of the playing board. The gray dish that comes with it is placed in the center of the table and a pile of chips is added, these help you pay to use the cards to complete your quests and can be picked up along the way.

Every round you'll complete a number of actions which range from two to five depending on the space on your board you place your character. The actions can include; collection tokens, playing a card, beating a hero and more. In order to sabotage another player you'll need to place yourself on a section that has the Destiny symbol so that you can draw two cards from their destiny picking which to play into their realm, it could put heroes in their path trying to stop them, it count take tokens away from their stash and more to prevent them from winning. The first person to successfully sabotage the other players while playing all the right cards of their own to complete their goal wins.

You'll find that some of the villans are easier than others, some almost seem destined to win due to easier goals and cards so we enjoy switching up which characters we each play so we all have a chance to win. The game is a lot of fun and great for families who enjoy game nights together, pretty soon I will cover some of the expansions we own.

*This was not a sponsored post, We love playing board games and I wanted to share some of our favorites with my readers who may be looking for board games for their own families. Check out my other board game reviews and look for more coming soon.

Reviewing Decals from Chrisanne's Life + A Giveaway!

Car decals are a great way to show off the love you have for your favorite TV shows, Characters, and more. I had a few Disney themed stickers on my car, and a sticker of one of my favorite bands. I don't want to over load my back window with decals but I wanted to add one or two more to the mix, which is when I found Chrisanne's Life on Etsy. She creates a number of fantastic decals ranging from bats and spooky things to cute and cuddly Disney, she offers solid colors but she also specializes in holographic decals that sparkle in the sun. I received the chance to work with her and I will be sharing my review on her decals along with hosting a giveaway for two separate sets of decals!

I was sent a assortment of decals in various sizes and colors to check out. The decals I received were a surprise to me, I had provided info on a few of my favorites from her shop and she put together the bundle you see above. The decals range in price from $3.49 for a small decal size up to $16+ for giant decals that are almost a foot in height. Everything was packaged perfectly to help prevent any bends while shipping, it also included instructions and a discount code for a future purchase. The decals feel well made, I've had decals in the past that were too thin and within a month the sun had completely ruined them, I don't believe I'll have that issue with these.

You will want to clean and prep the area you will be adding the decal to, and you will want to grab a "transfer" tool, I find that a game card or credit card works best. After prepping your area you will want to slowly peel the back of the decal sticker off, I don't suggest removing it quickly because you never know what might happen. When I applied the bats decal, two of the bats had stuck to the white backing, however because I had removed the back slowly it was easy just to lay it back down, use my game card to rub the two that needed to stick better and then remove the backing completely with all of my bats intact.

Once the decal is placed where you want it you can gently use the game card/credit card to smooth out the decal, removing any air bubbles you may have under the decal and it helps it stick to the new surface releasing it off of the applicator sheet.

I haven't used all of the decals yet, I think I am going to add the Disney heartbeat decal to my laptop. The decals I have used look amazing, the moon has a range of gorgeous colors that really pop and also make Groot look very dirty. Oogie Boogie changes to different shades of green depending on the lighting, and the bats also change colors from silver to purple under the right lights. I love how easy these decals were to apply and the end results.

These decals would make a nice addition to any holiday or birthday gift, I know a few people who would love several of the decals she sells. Disney and Spooky not your thing? No need to worry she has dozens of other designs that range from football teams to Zodiac signs so there is something for everyone. You've seen my decals, now are you ready to see the two giveaway packs?

If you want to purchase additional decals from her shop use code MOON10 to receive 10% off your purchase, your purchase will help support a small family owned business.

April Beauty & The Book Disney Giveaway!

Each month I try to give the "Beauty & The Book" Giveaway a theme if I am able to, this month I found a book I find quite interesting and intriguing that happens to be a Disney-Hyperion published book. Thus I decided to make this month's theme "Disney" and all of the beauty products included in this relate to a Disney character somehow which I will go over below.

But first I wanted to tell you a bit about this months book I've included in this giveaway. This is a YA book but I think many adults especially those who love Disney will enjoy this as well, even my husband was interested in reading it once I read the description to him (I bought a copy for us as well). The book is called "The Wooden Prince" and it is the first book in the Out of Abaton series.

Here is the book description:
"The automa Pinocchio has always been duty-bound to serve in the floating palace of Venice's emperor. So when Pinocchio finds himself locked in a trunk and delivered to a new master-a wanted criminal and alchemist named Geppetto-he is curious about everything around him. But most curious is the way Pinocchio seems to be changing from a wooden servant into a living, human boy. Before Geppetto and Pinocchio can uncover the mystery surrounding the automa's transformation, Pinocchio is stolen away. Determined to find Geppetto again, Pinocchio begins a harrowing journey across the Empire, where danger in the form of half-beast outlaws and winged airmen abounds for a lost automa."

This months prize pack includes the following non-beauty products:

Hard copy of "The Wooden Prince", TusmTusm Photoframe + Puffy Sticker set, TusmTusm Coin Purse, Alice in Wonderland talking flower ring, Disney Family Feud Travel game, Maleficent Plush Tusm Tusm, Womens XL shirt in Black that says "I'm 99% sure that I'm a Disney Villain".

And of course the Beauty products included in this giveaway are:

Red Apple face mask inspired by Snow White, A Lion hair mask inspired by The Lion King, A purple Anna Sui eyeliner + A purple NYX soft matte lip creme + purple nails inspired by Maleficent and a cute Luxury bath soap that reminded me of Cruella Da Vil.

This is open World Wide!! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email! Pamper yourself like a super hero with these Incredibles 2 beauty sets!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by TownleyGirl for the review free of charge.**

If you haven't seen The Incredibles 2 what are you waiting for? My family and I were all big fans of the movie and we absolutely loved Jack-Jack during the entire film. I would say it lived up to what we were hoping for, although I know a few people were disappointed with a few words that were added into the movie I thought it was a fun family movie.

My daughter and I are big fans of the products created by Townleygirl that center around beloved characters such as super heroes, Disney Princesses, Emojis and more. When we were offered a chance to check out a few of their Incredibles themed items we couldn't say no.

Incredibles 2 Lip Gloss Set with Bonus Tin - Retail $6.99 This kit includes three lip gloss tubes with a character attachment and a carrying tin (plastic) to hold everything. We thought this set was pretty cute when it came to the over all product packaging, even the tubes themselves had a printed pattern that goes along with the movie. I like that the tin can also be used to store cash, jewelry, etc after the lip gloss is long gone. Their lip gloss formula actually isn't bad, normally I don't like lip gloss because it is too thick but theirs seems just right and is actually pretty moisturizing. Plus if you accidentally get some lip gloss in your mouth there is no taste to it good or bad.

Incredibles 2 Lip Balm with Mirror - Retail $5.99 This set comes with a handheld mirror, nail stickers and two lip balms. We did think it was slightly off the set came with nail stickers as it seemed a little out of place, my daughter thinks a comb or some kind of brush would have been a better option. The mirror is pretty sturdy and can stand up to a lot, my daughter has a Trolls mirror just like it which has been dropped several times without breaking or cracking. The lip balms are nice and the nail stickers are fun.

Incredibles 2 Lip Balm Set with Bonus Bag - Retail $7.99 This set comes with three lip balms, three bouncy balls and a storage bag. The lip balms are nice, they have a nice scent the formula seem to be just right to where your lips don't feel greasy or oil. The kids loved that they came with bouncy balls, the little plastic piece on top of the lip balm cap holds the ball perfectly so you can easily take it with you on the go. The kids did think it would be neat to see a set of these with just the three kids on them. The little coin storage bag this comes with is nice as well and can be used for multiple purposes.

Over all we were pretty happy with these products though a bit bummed Jack-Jack wasn't more predominant on a product or two as a stand alone character like the rest of the family. (Violet isn't really in these products either aside from family shots but she is on other products in this series.) Our favorite thing about TownleyGirl is how affordable their sets are and how much fun they make everything.

Bishop, Please! A Giveaway for Disney lovers

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Bishop, Please! for the review & giveaway free of charge.**

I don't think I'll ever forget sitting in the movie theater waiting for Inside Out to come on when the Disney short "Lava" came on. It was so simple yet so sweet, I am an emotional mess as is so it made me a blubbering mess before the movie even started. I loved the short and my husband and I started telling each other "I Lava You" and even have the song on our phones. Mushy I know but it is true, so when I spotted the "I Lava You" pins + greeting card in the Etsy shop Bishop Please! I knew it would be perfect as a small token of my love for my husbands birthday. Shop owners Adam and Bethan are very sweet, communicate quickly, have wonderful customer service and on top of that they make some pretty awesome products.

You can buy the pins & card separate (card $3.39, Pin set $3.43) or purchase them together for $6.17. The products shipped from the UK but arrived to Arizona fairly quickly and everything was packaged inside of a cute green polka dot envelope with protective wrapping for the pins.

The pins are the perfect size to clip onto your bag, hat, etc wherever you find fit. They measure about an inch and a half wide and are light weight with a sturdy pin in the back. The image has a protective clear thin plastic over the top of it which has been perfectly pressed into the pin base so there are no bumps or spots where it might raise up. Some pins I've bought in the store have a loose backing which leads to the pins not last but this pin set seems very secure and long lasting. I look forward to showing these off the next time we get the chance to visit Disneyland.

I am an odd ball when it comes to paper texture on greeting cards, sometimes I will seek out cards that have a better texture so that what ever I write in it comes out nice and neat instead of sloppy due to slippery paper. The paper they used for the card was perfect for any type of writing utensil, it won't make pens or markers smudge by touching it after you've written your greeting. The inside of the card is completely blank so you are able to fill out as much or as little as you'd like for your loved one, I surprised my husband with this card for his birthday and he loved it.

Looking for something a little less mushy on the romance meter? They offer a number of cards, pins, stickers and more in various designs all of which are pretty fun so stop by and take a look at their shop.

PRIZE ALERT:
One lucky winner will win their choice of product up to £5 ($6.61 USD) (or put £5 towards a bigger purchase)

This is open World Wide!! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

Disney On Ice Frozen Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions are used (both good and bad), they are solely my own & they may vary from others. I received four passes to the event for promotional purposes. It was provided by Disney On Ice & The Encore Agency for the review free of charge.**

If you haven't been in attendance at a Disney On Ice performance then you are really missing out! I remember going to Disney On Ice once when I was younger, it was during a girl scout outing and it was a lot of fun. My kids have been to Disney Live and Disneyland but they've never been to Disney On Ice so when I was presented with a chance to promote the upcoming show in exchange for tickets to go I was all in. My son and husband weren't super interested in going because the theme was Frozen so we decided to turn it into a girls night! My SIL and my daughter's best friend joined her and I for the show.

Like with most big events if you are wanting to eat at the show or purchase souvenirs be prepared to spend a decent amount such as $10 for a box of popcorn, though some of the treats are well worth the cost. We decided to eat before the show seeing as it started at 7pm, but we did pick up some pretzel bites and a drink to share. Seating was easy to get to and if you get lost they have plenty of staff at the venue to help direct you to the right place.

I have to admit when it comes to events like this I am a big emotional baby, as soon as the show started my eyes started to water and I felt like I was going to cry. Not because I was sad but because I was so excited and happy that my emotions just got the best of me. I was the same mess the first time we were able to visit Disneyland, I had never been there myself and I was so excited and amazed we were able to save up to take our kids there so I cried a lot during the day but happy tears. Before they jumped into the story of Frozen, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy came out to introduce a number of Disney characters who all performed a dance together to kick off the ice show. I was extra impressed by the performer in the Pumba costume because they were ice skating on all fours! (Baby Sven was also on all fours).

The show was a lot of fun, there were so many performers all skating at once it was amazing to see how well choreographed they all were. I was amazed at the size of some of the costumes and the fact that they had so many pieces of the show that were remotely controlled from off stage, I honestly would be a little frightened about being on top of a stair case being controlled by someone via a controller. Everyone worked so well together to keep the story flowing, keep the crowed entertained and make sure everyone was safe from tripping over props. The crew really has everything down to a tee to keep the audience focused on a certain area of the stage so they can set up the other area like sneaky ninjas.

Along side graceful ice skating, gorgeous costumes (Disney does such an amazing job!) and fun sing along songs they also included some surprise firework like explosions when Elsa uses her magic, fun lighting and a blow up monster that was a lot of fun to see. They perform the movie in two segments giving you a break in between to use the bathroom, get a soda refill or just stretch your legs which was nice because of how restless kids can be. All in all we had a great time and the girls had a blast they are sure to remember for sometime.

My favorite part of the show was when Olaf started singing about summer because a variety of performers came out dressed as different summer themed things like bees and flowers. I have now officially seen Frozen live at Disneyland and have watched it on Ice, but I still haven't seen the movie itself. The girls and I really enjoyed the costumes as well, I know Disney always puts a lot of effort into making their costumes look as similar to the movie costume as possible but it is mind blowing what their designers can do. Take Sven for example, this large costume piece could have turned out looking kind of creepy or just plain ugly but he is so adorable it makes you want to run up and hug him.

The practice and training the performers do really pays off and shows in the performances that they provide, instead of just watching the show they encourage you to sing/dance along and it helps make it feel like you are part of the show.  The next time Disney On Ice comes to your home town I highly suggest attending the show.
