Makeup can be quite magical it covers up acne break outs, birth marks or scars you want hidden and it can turn you from a twenty year old to a sixty year old within an hour. I enjoy color coordination my makeup with my outfits and using different colors to celebrate holidays along with seasonal changes, I have tried dozens of different eye shadows & I can tell you that no two companies are the same. I was recently asked to do a review for Everbuying.com who offers an assortment of products from Electronics to Makeup & clothing. For my review I choose the "P8801 Multifunction Rectangle Box Makeup 88 Colors Eye Shadows Palette with Mirror and Two Applicators Inside", The prices on the site are quite low although I can not say how much their shipping is. Their website states that shipping from China to the US takes 6-14 business days, It may have been due to the holiday season but it took right around two months to reach me so if you place an order be aware shipping times may be longer.



The makeup palette itself looks great it arrived bubble wrapped inside of its box, Both the mirror and the makeup had a thin sheet of plastic over it to keep them from getting dirty. The colors are bold and vibrant, They applied smoothly without any clumps I applied mine with a slightly wet brush to give it more of an eye liner look then a dry shadow and it worked perfectly. The palette has 88 colors that range in shade giving you enough colors to use a different color every day for two and a half months, I personally like the selection they included in the palette although I wish they would have included more reds instead of beige colors.

I wanted to show you more than a color or two so I decided to go with rainbow eye shadow, Above you can see how the one of each color looks. If you wanted a darker or lighter rainbow you could choose either darker or lighter shades in the palette, I wanted something that was bright and would "Pop" behind my glasses. Since the colors are so bright I didn't want to do full eye shadow so I choose to go with more of a thin liner with the shadows. The palette is light weight, one side contains all of the shadows and the other has two foam applicators with holder spots and a large mirror which makes this the perfect palette for traveling. The eyeshadow itself is soft and smooth, when applying it glides on gently but has a big color effect. Everbuying.com has a large selection of beauty products but that isn't all they sell if you are looking for Head phones,A camera, throw pillows or even a new toilet seat they have it, their prices vary from a few dollars to a couple hundred. I enjoy their selection and over all enjoy their website.

Nether Wolfe Designs Review and Giveaway

My count down to Comicon has begun, which means it is time to start planning a costume. I am the type of person who usually can't figure out what to wear for events such as Halloween until last minute then I am stuck in something less than what I was hoping for so I plan to get a costume ready ahead of time this year. My fiance & I are both fans of the video game Borderlands & Borderlands 2 we have discuessed going as our favorite characters from the game our biggest problem was we have no knowlege about making masks or replica weapons so I began a search for already made costume pieces. Along my search I found some masks that you could tell were poorly made then I finally found a small etsy shop called Nether Wolfe Designs who creates and sells comicon pieces his main item sold is Borderlands mask but he also has Freddy Krueger Latex Mask Blanks and Zelda triforce eblems.



I have received a chance to work with Nether Wolfe Designs on a review & giveaway here on Burning Moon's Inside Advice. The first thing I wanted to metion is that the owner Gus is such a sweet heart and has out standing customer service, He makes it seem like you are talking to a friend and not just a shop owner. For my review I was sent a Borderlands 2 Psycho Bandit Mask Blank do it yourself kit, The kit includes: 1 Psycho Bandit mask, LEDs for the eyes, Battery Clip, Switch & a cr2032 Battery. The mask came well packaged and arrived safe, Shipping was decently fast the holidays make all packages lag a little though so outside of the Holidays shipping speed would be even faster. The mask is cast from Smoothcast 300 series resin which makes them quite sturdy, If you are messing around and drop it once it won't break but as Gus states in his shop these are not made to replace safety equipment please do not use them while doing dangerous jobs or stunts and expect them to protect your face if you are looking for something that can stand up to more than just costume wear message Gus to discuss other resin materials for a custom mask. The mask blank comes as is after being removed from the original mold which means you will need to put a little bit more work into smoothing everything out but that is what makes it fun.



I like that the mask arrives blank it allows you the freedom to paint the design and colors you want, I know it saves a lot of time having it pre painted but where is the fun in that? To smooth down the inside of the mask you can use sand paper to get any rough spots out that may be been created by the mold. I find that the mask is the perfect size it isn't overly large and doesn't smother your face from being too small. The LED lighting kit for the eyes is wonderful it comes with almost everything you need to make the eyes glow [You will need wire], The lights are bright and vibrant letting your mask stand out from the crowd. I think that gus has done a wonderful job with the Psycho mask from the choice in resin to the actual making of the mask, Once it is painted it will look exactly like the masks in the game.

Which is when he learned how to use Latex and tissue, He ended up Grossing out his entire class it was that moment in time that made him hooked. His favorite characters from Borderlands are the Psychos he started playing borderlands because of the masks, He started off making Hockey Masks and Latex Masks in the Friday the 13th Fandom, then a friend commissioned him to make an original Bandit Mask Blank. He agreed and told him he could cut him a really great price if he didn't mind if he made copies. So he bought the game, Played a while, and started sculpting the mask. He thought it was a really fun project then it just exploded that Halloween, because the second Game was about to Drop so he choose the perfect time to start making the masks.

Poster Explosion Review

I am a Batman fan, Okay who am I kidding? I am secretly obsessed with Batman and collecting Batman things. My purse,wallet and lanyard are Batman, I have Batman shirts,socks,Funko Pops,Random Trinkets & a cup collection yet strangely enough I don't own any Batman art work until now that is. I recently found out about a etsy shop called Poster Explosion who offers some of the best movie posters I have seen in quite some time, They offer Disney posters, Dr. Who Posters, Star Wars posters & more. After browsing the shop I found the perfect poster set that I knew both myself & my fiance would enjoy having in our home The Batman Trilogy Minimalist Poster set.

 

 The poster set I received came with three posters 1 Batman Poster,1 Joker Poster & 1 Bane Poster each covers one of the movies from the Dark Knight. The posters arrived rolled up inside of a poster tube & the shipping was lighting fast if I wouldn't have known any better I could have sworn the flash dropped them off who knows maybe he did. After unrolling the posters they still had the slight curve that happens from rolling posters up so I set them between my mattress and my box frame for the night with a towel on either side of the posters to keep them safe, in the morning they were straight and crisp. Each poster measures 11" X 17" I knew I could find a frame I liked from Hobby Lobby so I set out on my journey, Silly me forgot to write down the poster size so I ended up buying frames that were a bit larger than the posters but it turned out to be the perfect mistake. The frames originally came with white borders but we thought black would look better so I cut out some black card stock to use behind the posters, We love the end results the card stock looks like it is part of the poster. We have received many compliments on this poster set from both friends and family members all of the posters available from Poster Explosion would make great new additions to your home.




The posters themselves are printed on 220g texture paper making them sturdy giving them a longer life span, The Batman prints mainly consist of darker colors but the colors are crisp and well printed they look fantastic I bet Poster Explosions color posters look quite vibrant. My fiance & I are very happy with these prints we couldn't have asked for anything better, The retail price of the posters is $40 before knowing how sturdy and well printed these posters were I might have previously thought "That much for paper?" not knowing the difference between 220g texture paper and regular printer paper I was none the wiser but now I know they are 100% worth the price. Poster Explosion has fast and friendly customer service, They respond in a timely manner and are always polite. Some of my other favorites from their store include the Justice League - Wonder Woman print, God of war - Minimalist Video Game Poster, and most of the Disney prints. Roogna's Custom Creations Review & Giveaway

When I was a little girl I always enjoyed My Little Pony, I was excited when they came out with a newer version of it because my daughter is now a fan of the show as well. She loves all of the characters on the show but I always thought it would be neat to have a custom pony that was made specifically for that person which is why I was excited to come across Roogna's Custom Creations on Etsy. Roogna creates custom my little pony figures,baby ponies and pony plush animals which can all be customized to how you would like them or you can purchase one of her already created ponies.



For my recent review I received a Zecora 2 My Little Pony MLP Plush & a Zev custom baby Pony. My package arrived in a very timely manner and was well packaged to protect Zev the baby pony which to me shows that she loves and cares for her creations so I know I will be getting something amazing to show off to friends. Right away my daughter loved the plush she immediately recognized the doll as Zecora who is one of her favorite ponies, The plush is well made the stitches are all straight  and there isn't a string out of place. The "Cutie" mark is made using felt stitched onto the doll near the lower right hand corner, felt is also used for the earring on each of Zecoras ears. The eyes are made from turquoise blue buttons and the entire plush stands at about 12" tall, The mane and tail are made from grey and white yarn. I find that the plush is squish-able, lovable and looks great I would purchase one of these as a gift for a loved one. For younger children I suggest maybe asking for felt eyes verses buttons eyes, as far as I can tell this plush came from a smoke and animal free home as it has no scent aside for a slight fabric scent, It may be weird to mention but there are many people who have both animal allergies and smoke allergies.



The custom baby pony I was sent is named Zev, each creation is named and then has it's name written on one of its feet along with Roogna's signature and the year. Prior to being sent a pony I mentioned I was hoping something that was leaning more towards the "Halloween" theme and had horns, Roogna hit the nail on the head with Zev. Zev is A deep purple almost black with strawberry blonde/pink hair that is quite soft, has two adorable handmade horns and the cutie mark is hand painted it features a crescent moon and stars. The hair has been glued on the inside for stability and was hand placed by Roogna, certain features on the ponies such as horns,feathered feet and similar features are hand created by Roogna. Please note that these creations are pieces of art work, depending on which features have been added onto the pony they can handle light play but work best as display pieces for your collection, These ponies shouldn't be left in direct sunlight because with all painted items it will become sun damaged over time. Roogna has  won People's Choice awards at the annual MLP Fair, and has hosted a panel on the MLP Customizing at GeekGirlCon 2012 and Yama-Con 2013. Your custom pony is in good hands with Roogna, if you are looking for the perfect gift for the pony lover in your life you should contact Roogna for a custom request. Roogna has an eye for detail the pony I received is restored to what I believe is better than the original, the horns are well blended unless you were told they were hand made then glued to the head you wouldn't be able to tell.



Want to know a bit about Roogna? She had ponies as a child in the 1980s, and loved the toys along with the show. She began actively collecting in the 1990s, in the mid 1990s she began helping pioneer the customizing / modifying of My Little Pony toys. She thought it was a wonderful feeling to express art while also rescuing ponies that were in poor condition that would have been unwanted other wise. She would take each run down pony from being unloved and turn it into a well loved pony through artistic reinvention! Since then, She has been continually refining her skills and expanding her horizons. This includes cleaning and restoring vintage ponies as well as rehairing, painting, and sculpting to create new, original ponies as works of art. Indy & Ron Desginer Prints Review and Giveaway

If you visit my blog often you will see that I am a gamer & I can be quite the nerd when I want to be. One of the games I played constantly growing up was the Legend of Zelda which was loved for many reasons, when ever I get the chance I still play Zelda so it comes to no surprise that I was attracted to the Link and Princess Zelda prints sold by RonGuyatt a wonderful shop on Etsy. The Art & Designs of Ron Guyatt & Indy Lytle is bold yet subtle all of the prints they offer are eye catching and make for a wonderful conversation starter between your friends and yourself.



Ron & Indy offer dozens of designs from many different video games and movies which makes it hard to narrow down a favorite print, I personally loved their Little sister print but for my review I choose a print I knew a good friend of mine would love. For my review I received a set of their Princess Zelda & Link posters along with a copy of their Portal Nouveau - Screen-print Poster. The posters arrived well protected in a poster tube, each poster has a thin piece of paper between them to keep them safe from scratches and sticking, Shipping speeds were marvelous. The prints are printed well, each design is bright, crisp and stunning perfect for being "grown up" art while still showing off a piece of your childhood. When my fiance & I first moved out on our own we were both eighteen our home decor consisted of band posters and random pictures pinned to the walls which after a while my mother suggested we get more "grown up" art work. We may have become older but we don't want to give up the things we love just because were adults so prints such as those I received from Ron & Indy are a perfect mixture of the things we love and having the feeling of more "adult" art work. These prints look wonderful in frames, I choose black for the prints I received but I believe they would look perfect in any color frame. The prints are 9 x 13 which is in my opinion the perfect size, Why? Frames are easier to find in the standard sizes, I can walk into a number of stores and find a 9 x 13 frame that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Other prints I have bought or received came in larger or odd sizes which made it difficult to find a frame, with the Zelda prints I found nice frames at the first store I checked.



The prints are made using Canon Dye Inks on Professional Grade Premier Imaging Micropore Luster Paper (or Better), 10.4mil RC Photo Base, 270 GSM. The paper the posters are printed on allows them to be quite sturdy it is a mix between card stock and poster board, It can be easily rolled up for storage without the print being ruined. Each design is well thought out goes perfectly with the theme of the game or movie without being exactly how they are shown in the game since you never really get to see a clear picture of the game characters they create an image for you. I love all three prints that I received and so did my friend who likes Zelda! Ron & Indy hit the nail right on the head when it comes to skillful designs. Want to know a little about the artists? Everyone that knows me personally knows that I am not a big glitter fan, It gets everywhere and is usually hard to wash off the one exception I have to my "No Glitter" rules is Nail Polish [And some Eyeshadow/Eye liners]. I see glitter in polish and I automatically want it, I was recently sent an email about the two new lines from SinfulColors and was attracted to the glitter so I agreed to a review. The first line is called Holiday Tinsels.Bring on the bling! These Holiday Tinsel shades from SinfulColors offer a festive flourish that's worth celebrating. For my review I received Silver Rainbows: Slivers of silver,Spiked Ice: Black dazzle,Girls Best Friend: Pink Baubles & 24 Karat: Gold Gilt. My favorite out of the four I received is the 24 Karat: Gold Gilt it is a very capturing color it shimmers but looks matte at the same time I could get lost looking at it all day perfect for any Egyptian look. My second favorite is the Silver Rainbows: Slivers of silver which is perfect for Parties, New Years, or any other celebration it has large chunks of Silver "Tinsel" which really pops on the nail. The Girls Best Friend: Pink Baubles is perfect to use as a top coat or by itself, I noticed that the bigger glitter chunks in the  Silver Rainbows: Slivers of silver & Spiked Ice: Black dazzle should only be used as a top coat in my opinion, They look best over another color. Sadly I didn't like Spiked Ice: Black dazzle as much as I thought I would, it was too Chunky for me and the "Tinsel" felt like small pieces of chopped up brush hairs in my polish it made me cringe to touch. I know not everyone will have the same option on these polishes or any polishes for that matter as everyone else, so you may love this polish and are upset I don't like it but please remember this is only my personal opinion not anyone else. I plan on looking for the Sapphired Up: Turquoise glitz at my local Walgreens wish me luck that they aren't all gone already! Which of the colors above is your favorite?
