Faire Lady Review!

I've been to several Renaissance festivals and I've always wanted to attend in costume and now I can thanks to a small handmade company called Faire Lady who designs and sells a number of renaissance inspired clothing. You can purchase her products on Ebay or Amazon all at great prices! For my review I received a Pirate witch wench sca peasant dress in black with a skirt bodice Irish overdress in red.



The Pirate witch wench dress is quite comfortable it is made from a Cotton Polyester Blend which is important to me that it doesn't retain too much heat because the Renaissance festival here in Arizona can get pretty hot. You can wear the dress with the top undone or you can tie it into a bow, and the strings will make you jingle when you walk due to having three jingle bells on the end of each string which is a feature that I love. This dress can be worn alone, with an over dress or with a number of other over the dress choices like a corset. The bottom half of the dress is pretty puffy as is the bottom half of the overdress so it is flowy while your walking. The shoulder section can be worn like a regular dress or you can wear it as an off the shoulder depending on if you want the over dress or if you want to wear a bra or not.

The skirt bodice Irish overdress has metal boning at the laces, it ties at the shoulders for easy adjustments, and the entire bodice is lined with a black material and the whole overdress is also made from a Cotton Polyester Blend. The lining next to the laces is very pretty it has a lot of detailed designs on it featuring gold, white, green and red. The skirt portion is large and puffy so it will completely cover the under dress and will move with it as you walk. Looking over both pieces all the stitching looks great it is all secure and I only found one small thread that was trimmed to be a little too long otherwise they did a fantastic job piecing this together. I am pretty happy with this set and look forward to showing it off, my fiance wasn't a one hundred perfect fan of it as he said it hides the figure of the person wearing it and isn't too flattering but he did think it looked nice. Shipping wise it arrived way sooner than I expected it too and the way everything was packaged made it to where a bunch of packing materials were not wasted.

Who says pets can't celebrate the holiday too? There are a number of ways you can have your pet celebrate the holiday with you, one of those is Costumes! I recently found a very nice set of bat wings from a etsy shop called Flytes of Fancy.



The wings arrived in a very timely manner, Depending on where you live I would say the latest to order would probably be six days before Halloween to get them to you on time. The wings are well made they are padded to allow the maximum comfort to your dog or cat. I tried these wings on both my cat and my dog, my cat was a little timid and didn't know what to think but the wings stayed on even when he was running around the living room trying to get them off. My dog didn't mind them being on and was more calm about it, although I couldn't for the life of me get a non blurry photo of him in the wings even with treats as a bribe. 





The wings have a string which is similar to a shoe lace that runs through it, you put the neck loop around your dog (or cat) and then tie the string under their belly to keep it in place. The day I received the wings my toddler decided to take the string out, I couldn't figure out how to get it back in so I messaged the shop owner who replied quickly and helped me string it back through. I enjoyed working with Flytes of Fancy they had fast shipping, friendly and helpful customer service and high quality products for your pets. Growing up I was a big fan of Harry Potter, it is such a captivating and mystical story it is easy to love. I recently participated in a Harry Potter exchange and it sparked my love for Harry Potter again, Wouldn't it be neat to own a real working wand? While I can't own a real wand I can own a replica wand. A magical little etsy shop called Kiklops Dynamic specializes in Harry Potter replicas and Assassin's Creed replicas. I was recently sent a Brown wand to use for review purpose.



My wand shipped all the way from Slovakia & make it here within a three week period which I think is lovely normally international packages take at least a month. The wand was well wrapped, and by well wrapped I mean it was almost hard to open which means the wand was perfectly safe during shipping. The wands in Kiklops Dynamic range from 8.99 to $19.99 plus shipping. The wand is handcrafted and has fine details from the knotted head to the thinner tip, it is made from resin but looks like real wood. It is a nice weight sturdy enough to with stand cosplaying but Do not use this as a weapon it will break and can cause injuries. Nether Wolfe Designs Review and Giveaway

My count down to Comicon has begun, which means it is time to start planning a costume. I am the type of person who usually can't figure out what to wear for events such as Halloween until last minute then I am stuck in something less than what I was hoping for so I plan to get a costume ready ahead of time this year. My fiance & I are both fans of the video game Borderlands & Borderlands 2 we have discuessed going as our favorite characters from the game our biggest problem was we have no knowlege about making masks or replica weapons so I began a search for already made costume pieces. Along my search I found some masks that you could tell were poorly made then I finally found a small etsy shop called Nether Wolfe Designs who creates and sells comicon pieces his main item sold is Borderlands mask but he also has Freddy Krueger Latex Mask Blanks and Zelda triforce eblems.



I have received a chance to work with Nether Wolfe Designs on a review & giveaway here on Burning Moon's Inside Advice. The first thing I wanted to metion is that the owner Gus is such a sweet heart and has out standing customer service, He makes it seem like you are talking to a friend and not just a shop owner. For my review I was sent a Borderlands 2 Psycho Bandit Mask Blank do it yourself kit, The kit includes: 1 Psycho Bandit mask, LEDs for the eyes, Battery Clip, Switch & a cr2032 Battery. The mask came well packaged and arrived safe, Shipping was decently fast the holidays make all packages lag a little though so outside of the Holidays shipping speed would be even faster. The mask is cast from Smoothcast 300 series resin which makes them quite sturdy, If you are messing around and drop it once it won't break but as Gus states in his shop these are not made to replace safety equipment please do not use them while doing dangerous jobs or stunts and expect them to protect your face if you are looking for something that can stand up to more than just costume wear message Gus to discuss other resin materials for a custom mask. The mask blank comes as is after being removed from the original mold which means you will need to put a little bit more work into smoothing everything out but that is what makes it fun.



I like that the mask arrives blank it allows you the freedom to paint the design and colors you want, I know it saves a lot of time having it pre painted but where is the fun in that? To smooth down the inside of the mask you can use sand paper to get any rough spots out that may be been created by the mold. I find that the mask is the perfect size it isn't overly large and doesn't smother your face from being too small. The LED lighting kit for the eyes is wonderful it comes with almost everything you need to make the eyes glow [You will need wire], The lights are bright and vibrant letting your mask stand out from the crowd. I think that gus has done a wonderful job with the Psycho mask from the choice in resin to the actual making of the mask, Once it is painted it will look exactly like the masks in the game.

When he was in 6th grade he had a massive Halloween Costume Failure, and at the last minute his Dad took him to a Halloween shop and where they bought a Zombie Makeup Kit. Which is when he learned how to use Latex and tissue, He ended up Grossing out his entire class it was that moment in time that made him hooked. His favorite characters from Borderlands are the Psychos he started playing borderlands because of the masks, He started off making Hockey Masks and Latex Masks in the Friday the 13th Fandom, then a friend commissioned him to make an original Bandit Mask Blank. He agreed and told him he could cut him a really great price if he didn't mind if he made copies. So he bought the game, Played a while, and started sculpting the mask. He thought it was a really fun project then it just exploded that Halloween, because the second Game was about to Drop so he choose the perfect time to start making the masks.

My husband & I are huge gamers we enjoy collecting gamer related goods and attended our first Comicon this year. Comicon is a huge event to many people, those who dress up spend countless hours preparing the perfect costume but there isn't always enough time to get every detail or every piece made because we all know life gets busy. When a moment calls for a bit of help with a costume piece that is where sellers such as The Haunted Knoll come in as the knight in shinning Armour. A cherished video game between my husband & I is Borderlands we have spent hours upon hours playing Borderlands #2 together and have grown quite fond of our game characters. We have decided that for this upcoming comicon we would like to go as our Borderlands characters, having two small children and each having a full time job we know we won't have enough time to hand make every detail of our costumes. My husband will be going as Kreig a big part of his costume is the mask that he wears, We both lack the space to make molds and cast them, I have searched around and found some less than satisfactory masks until I would The Haunted Knoll.




The Haunted Knoll sells both pre-painted and Un painted masks which can be used for cosplaying needs. I received the amazing chance to work with them on a review to share with all of you here and my friends in the cosplaying community. The Haunted Knoll's products can be used for Halloween,Comicon or collection needs, I personally prefer the blank masks because it allows you the freedom to still customized your characters mask to how ever you want it, In the game there are dozens of color schemes so this gives you the chance to pick the colors or outfit you like best. Not only does the Haunted Knoll sell mask blanks but they make the most B.A Borderlands ornaments I have seen I was beyond excited to find one waiting for me in my review package and I am more than honored to have it hanging on my tree. For a product review I received a Kreig mask blank kit to create and paint on my own.



Shipping was lightning fast I couldn't wait to get it inside and open it up, Once I opened the package I was very happy to find the box was a recycled package used from previous supplies. With how many boxes and packages are used I am always happy to find when companies recycle products such as boxes,packing peanuts or other similar products. I was only expecting to find the Kreig mask kit in my package so when I opened it up and found a Psycho Christmas ornament as well I let out a happy and exited squeal. It was pleasant to find all of the assorted parts to the mask packages in separate bags to both protect the mask and make it easier to keep track of everything that goes with the mask. The mask is wonderful it isn't heavy but it isn't so light that it will break at the flick of a wrist, The mask fits well and will hold up for some time to come. The mask is made with attention to detail and with a passion in the heart you can tell the great amount of time and love that went into this product to provide You the customer with the best product possible. Included in the package was a "How To Guide" which is very helpful it tells you how to attach the straps, add on the side face pieces and which paints would be best to use for your mask to make it look it's best.



The Borderlands Psycho Mask Ornament is well made and is sturdy enough to last for many years to come, The ornament is about the size of your hand so it can be shown off. Keeping in mind that Each piece and handmade they vary slightly from one another,I was very pleased to find mine had more blue in the eyes than shown on the website because Blue is my favorite color. The owner Will did a spectacular job with the paint job every detail is perfect and it looks as if I had just plucked the mask from the game. What is my favorite part of the kit? Everything from the packaging to the mask was perfect I couldn't have asked for anything better. The price of each mask blank is $145 before you are shocked at the price please think about the work and supplies that goes into each piece, If you were to do this on your own you would have to buy the supplies, have the time to make the mold and have enough supplies to do a practice run or two to get it right. Buying it from a seller means you will get a better quality product. I have spoken with the shops owner Will have he is very helpful,quick to answer and is as friendly as could be. I am still on the hunt for what I will be wearing this Halloween, I have been looking for something that I will feel Sexy in yet still keep covered up to go trick or treating with my daughter. I have been looking around at a few options & one option I have found is from a website called EdenFantasys the costume is their Swat shooter costume. The Swat Shooter costume features straps,& 'Swat' on the outfit I like the fact hat it fully covers the body no missing belly,no low rise back & no super short skirt that way I can wear it out with the children.
