Jurassic World Captivz Hatchlings by ToyMonster International!

My kids & I were recently invited to check out some Jurassic World CAPTIVZ Hatchlings from ToyMonster International. We couldn't wait until they arrived, so we could open them up & see who we were lucky enough to get. The Jurassic World movies are great to watch together as a family, and having grown up with the original Jurassic Park movies (the first one came out when I was two), it makes me happy that my kids not only get to enjoy the original movies but the new series as well. Blue is one of our favorites from the movie so we were hoping we would get her in one of our hatchling eggs. Funny enough, she was the first one we found when we had started to open our eggs.

The outside packaging of these eggs makes it seem like when you open the egg you'll find a ball of slime with a dinosaur in it. However, upon opening the eggs I found that the slime is in it's own little bag - dinosaur free. The dinosaurs, a collectable token, slime in a bag & sheet that shows all the possible dinosaurs you could end up with are included in the egg. I am actually pretty happy the slime & dinosaur came separate so that the dinosaurs didn't need a scrub. The egg shells are a hard plastic & they can be snapped back together so you can keep them to re-use, your kids can use them when playing with their slime, as a toy or you can keep them until next Easter & use them to hide candy in.

All of the dinosaurs come in two pieces, you'll need to snap the two pieces together & it is very easy to do. You can even switch it up and swap their parts around to see what kind of new species you can think of. The eggs were fun & easy to open, We liked that they had the little collectors tokens with them, they kind of reminded us of pogs.

We had ten eggs in total to open up, we ended up with eight unique dinosaurs & two that were duplicates of dinosaurs we already received. Opening the eggs was fun for the whole family, even my husband became invested wanting to see which dinosaur we would end up with next. I was pretty happy we got the cutie shown above, he was one of the two I was hoping we would get. His new home is now on my collectable shelf so everyone else can see how cute he is too. These adorable eggs are available in Hatchlings Single Eggs or purchased in packs of three, they can be found & purchased at Five Below + Meijer.

See Dinosaurs at Pangaea in Scottsdale, Arizona!

If you have a small child who loves Dinosaurs then Pangaea in Scottsdale, Arizona is an attraction that you might want to consider checking out at least once. We recently stopped by and redeemed our free admission using our POGO Pass, If you don't know what a Pogo pass is then stop by my review here to learn what it is all about. Without a Pogo pass general admission is $17.95 per child & $19.95 per adult, or you can purchase the Paleo pack for $32.90 which comes with extra activities. We went on a Thursday afternoon shortly before their last admission for the day, they are open until 5pm however they stop selling tickets at 4pm to allow everyone enough time to explore before they close. We had the entire place pretty much to ourselves which was nice because we were able to go at our own pace.

After getting your admission tickets you will walk through the gift shop into the back where the entrance for the exhibit is. Inside you'll find a few dozen very large Dinosaur figures & animatronics. You'll find the inside easy to navigate as they have your stroll set up, so you are self-guided along the trail which is set up to free like you are in another point in time.

Seeing as this is self-guided tour there is no one there to tell you about each of the dinosaurs, so how are you supposed to know what you are looking at? Along the exhibit you will find touch screen kiosks that will tell you all about each dinosaur. It was neat to read some of the information such as what their names mean, how big they were, etc. You will also find a number of stations that have a chain & stamp attached to them, this is so children can stamp the little dinosaur field guide they are given at the start to complete as they walk through.

At the end once they have collected all of the stamps, they will get a prize. My kids received a small shark tooth! There are additional activities that can be purchased such as a rock sifting, dinosaur dig & more. They also have a small game arcade and grill you can order food from if you so choose. There were only a few other people there so even walking along slowly taking photos & videos along with checking out the information monitors and collecting stamps we were done in about twenty, that was with stopping to take a few photos.

The dinosaur animatronics were neat to see up close, they are literally within just a few feet of you & some are directly in front of your face. Sadly it looked like a few visitors may have taken advantage of being so close to them as a few were missing teeth and small pieces off their backs. The baby dinosaurs were so cute & they have everything set up to get some fun photo opportunities with the kids and family.

What were our final thoughts? It was a cute experience, however it doesn't take very long to look at the figures, read through the tablets, collect the stamps & reach the end. Entrance into the exhibit for two adults and two children is just over $75 which is slightly pricey for the amount of time spent here. It was fun to visit once, our kids enjoyed it though they may have been a little more excited if they were younger, we probably won't make a second visit as we were able to see everything during this visit.  Using our Pogo pass we were able to get the four of us in for free & it adds onto the savings we've already saved using our passes. You can get a Pogo Pass for a discounted cost $59.99 using code 6c8d10a3. You can learn more information about the pogo pass by visiting my review here.

You can find more Arizona attractions, events & restaurants by clicking the "Things to do in Arizona" link on the right hand side of my blog or click the purple link in this sentence.

**This is not a sponsored post, we stopped by here as a family & I decided to share about our experience with my readers.

Dinosaur play & explore sensory bin from HGUSA.

Sensory bins & tables have become quite popular over the last few years as they are a great hands-on learning experience. If you are looking to start using a sensory bin with your child, but don't know where to start then Horizon Group USA has you covered. They sell three different pre-assembled sensory bins that come with everything you need to get started on your sensory journey. The three themes are Seal Life, Dino Galaxy & Unicorn.

My kids and I were recently sent the Dino Galaxy Sensor Bin in our partnership box & it is a pretty neat bin. The storage container for it is a lot larger than I had expected it to be, it measures 14.5 x 9.75 x 3.25 with a lid that locks shut to keep everything inside.

The sensory bin comes with green smiley sand, garden pebbles, a paint brush, a foam volcano, a shovel, a roller, toy trees and dinosaur figurines of course. The only thing I would change about the contents is having double the amount of sand in it as it isn't really enough to cover the half of the bin like it is supposed to. Younger children tend to like to play with sensory bins, but this was fun for my nine year old too because we all love the play sand from HGUSA.

Each kit sells for $14.99 on Amazon, you can buy just one or collect all three. After your child is done playing with it simply lock the lid on & keep it stored until later. The slimey sand can get a little dried out over time if left out so I suggest keeping it stored in a sealed storage container or baggie.

Discover & Learn with the AZ Museum of Natural History

Arizona offers a ton of different museums, national parks, and historical places to visit, many of which residents may not even be aware are available to visit. One of these places is the Arizona Museum of Natural History, I know several people who weren't aware we had a museum that features dinosaurs and history. The museum is located at 53 N. MacDonald Mesa, AZ 85201 conveniently tucked away by plenty of shops and places to grab a bite to eat. The museum is easy to spot, simply look for the giant dinosaur breaking out of the side of the building.

Before heading down to the museum I suggest checking their hours before going down, They are closed on Mondays, Tu-Fri they are open 10am-5pm, Sat they are open from 11am-5pm and Sundays they are open from 1-5pm. There is a ton of parking around the building including a parking garage behind the museum so you won't need to drive around searching for a parking spot. As soon as you walk through the doors into the building you are greeted by several large specimens before you even start walking through the actual museum. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children, through the "Museums for all" access program EBT card holders can receive $2 off per ticket up to six tickets.

Along with dinosaurs, southwest history and more they also have a room dedicated to movies that were filmed in Arizona plus they have an interactive camera you can stand behind that will put you into the movie they are showing on the screen. Located directly next to this room is a dinosaur room, a mine you can walk through, a jail you can visit to sit in the cells and take photos and a small theater where you can select different short films to watch using a panel located on the wall. The one thing we noticed was that the layout of the museum made it to where you often looped back through the same areas a few times to get to sections you may have missed, which we didn't really mind but made you wonder if you missed anything.

One of the things we absolutely loved about the museum was how many interactive spots they offered for kids and adults to enjoy. They had a few spots which featured a camera/TV to where if you stood in the right spot you'd appear on the screen with the subject show, the room above which featured several dinosaurs had a crawl tunnel and a slide for kids (my son was going to go down the slide but when he want to crawl into the tunnel it was wet, though they could have just cleaned it.). They also had several spots where you could put together various puzzles, do trivia, search for fossils and even pan for gold which you get to keep. They provide a lot of interesting and helpful information on so many aspects of history, some of which I wasn't even aware of and was amazed to learn. They have everything set up quite nicely when it comes to including information with each piece in the museum.

If all of that doesn't sound entertaining enough, they even had a full sized waterfall in the middle of the museum and a few live animals (fish, lizard, turtle) to see while walking through the museum. Need to use the bathroom? No problem, they have plenty of bathrooms and all of them are easy to access plus they are clean and well maintained which is always nice. Depending on how long you stay at each interactive spot and how quickly you walk, you'll end up spending one to three hours at the museum. We spent about two hours here before we all decided it was time for lunch so we left to walk down main street a bit to see the shops and look for a place to eat. Before you leave the museum if you want to pick up something dinosaur or history related they have a wonderful gift shop located near the front of the museum. We had a wonderful time at the museum, they offered a lot of family fun and I think couples would enjoy visiting on their own as well. If you've never been to the museum or haven't visited in a while, I highly suggest heading out to Mesa to visit the museum for a few hours. Looking for something a little more this summer? The museum offers summer camps, prehistoric preschool and more the kids can enjoy just check their website for more information.

Mark Poulin Jewelry Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Mark Poulin Jewelry for the review Free of charge.****

Have you ever bought or received a item with the intention of giving it to someone else but found it too cute and ended up keeping it? I had that exact situation happen to me recently, I found a small company called Mark Poulin Jewelry who creates adorable jewelry, key chains & more from his own drawings. I recently received a Tyrannosaurus Rex Dinosaur Pewter Necklace & Dinosaur Key chain for a review and immediately fell in love with them once I opened the package.

My package arrived quickly and was packaged perfectly it even came with bonus goodies that I was not expecting. Opening the package I found two adorable greeting cards with envelopes which will be used I am always sending out Birthday cards,Thank you cards and more, There were also two small brown boxes each hand stamped with a cute design. In box number one I found the Dinosaur key chain and a small button, the second package contained the Tyrannosaurus Rex necklace and another button. The super cute hand cast pewter Dinosaur necklace is about a 3/4 inch tall and 3/4 inch wide. It hangs from a really long 20" antiqued chain with a lobster clasp. The key chain is a white bronze dog tag key chain has a brontosaurus and a shooting star on it. I had the intention of giving the necklace to a friend of mine who loves all things T-rex but after seeing how cute and well made the necklace is I don't think I can bring myself to do it.

The necklace is light weight on a small dainty chain that matches the Tyrannosaurus Rex pendent perfectly, the dino has a lot of little details including a stripped belly, spotted back, little toes and an eye ball. The pendant was cast with care there are no rough or sharp edges on this dino everything has been smoothed out and polished I am highly impressed with both the items I received. I don't typically wear jewelry but when I do I prefer it to be on the smaller side so this necklace is perfect for me. The Key chain is well made itself it is the perfect weight for a key chain and having a lobster clasp attached allows you to easily move the dinosaur key chain onto your own set of keys. Mark Poulin Jewelry offers a wide range of precious pendants and more, their website is easy to navigate and their customer service is A+ they response in a timely manner and are always kind.  Looking for something special for a loved one? Head over and check out everything they have to offer. While you are visiting their site you should stop by the 'About us' section it is a fun read that tells you a little bit about everyone who works at Mark Poulin Jewelry, I enjoyed reading it because I got to know a little more about the people behind the adorable jewelry and highly professional work.
