March LootCrate Review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

"Here's the mail, it never fails. It makes me want to wag my tail. When it comes i wanna wail, When it comes I wanna wail, MAIL!!!!!!!!" I get this song stuck in my head often when the 19th of the month rolls around, Why? Because I know my LootCrate is on it's way. What is a Lootcrate you say? I am glad you asked, LootCrate is a monthly geek/nerd subscription box that offers products that feature hit TV shows like Game of Thrones and video games such as Sonic, and movies like Avengers, 007 and more! You never know what you might find in your box.

As many of you are aware from my last post, the last few months I took some time off to spend time with family members who are going through critical health issues at the moment. That being said I have two more LootCrate box reviews to catch up on with all of you :) so let's take a look at what March had to offer us goodie wise. The March box was themed "Covert" which if you guessed it is related to spy things. The first item out of the box was a T-shirt that says "This is Stirred" and shows a small animated bond. Next up was a field agent black wrist watch, which is actually quite neat! Instead of a normal watch face it shows a digital face once you hit the screen with your finger, when it isn't on it just looks like a black box on your wrist.

Following the shirt and the watch I found a spy inspired Mad Libs book which is always fun, a para-cord survival bracelet which is good to have with when camping or hiking, A Lootcrate exclusive comic book "Orphan Black", a special agent dossier notebook 2-pack, Replica agent shield lanyard, and the collectable monthly LootCrate Pin. Looking through the monthly magazine there wasn't any extra special contests going on with the March products, from time to time they will offer a bonus contest such as the most creative Munny doll. LootCrate ships to the US,Canada,The United Kingdom and Australia. Loot Crate is $13.95 a month [plus $6 S/H] the site guarantees $30+ worth of goodies in your box You can sign up for just a one time box or you can sign up for 6 months to a years worth of boxes & you can use the code “LunaMoon10” you will receive 10% off of your purchase price. What do you think might be in Next months box?

LootCrate February 2015 Review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

Hello again to all of my readers! The last several months you may have noticed I haven't been around, I've been away handling medical issues with family members, working extra hours and just keeping busy. We've moved, I've begun working more and my kids are quite a bit bigger than they were the last time I was blogging. Things are starting to settle into place now so I will have more time to blog again and I have quite a bit to share with you :) so let's kick that off with a new LootCrate box review. I am a few months behind on my LootCrate reviews so bare with my while I catch up, I will also have a lot of Makeup giveaways and more heading your way. Let's take a step back and take a look at what came in the February 2015 LootCrate box which had a theme of "Play".

This box included a Munny doll which is a DIY figure that you are able to design your own character with, as a bonus they were hosting a Munny design contests where winners who designed the most creative character would win a prize. The Crate also included the book "Ready Player One", Superfight the Loot crate deck which is a card game, two rock-paper-scissor dice, a HexBug and the monthly collectable pin. I highly enjoyed this box because we were able to use all of the items and my kids were able to join in on the fun, my kids and my cat had a blast chasing the Hexbug. I do have to note that as much as I love the Hexbugs they do die easily from hair or carpet fuzz getting stuck in the wheels so I would suggest letting it run free on tile or a wood floor where it won't pick up as much hair. Not only did this crate include a Munny contest but it also included a game on the box it came on, you use small paper people that you pop off of the monthly LootCrate magazine.

I personally think that LootCrate would make a great gift for any comic, video game, or cartoon lover in your family. One of the worst things to me is going out to check the mail and finding nothing but bills, What fun is that? So I can extra excited when the 19th of the month rolls around because I know my LootCrate box will be shipping out and I can't wait to see what is in it. Novembers theme is "Battle- Pirates VS Ninjas" , And this months box is extra special because they made the box everything came in a playable battle field by including cut outs and some small paper fighters you use on the board. What came in this months box? Read below to see what all came in the box.

This months box included a number of Pirate and Ninja themed items including: Pirate vs. Ninja shirts, Assasin's Creed IV Unity coin with velvet pouch, A mystery Mega Man Mini Helmet (You could receive either a Brown, Blue, Green or Red helmet), A Halo drop ship mini figure, A Street Fighter Headband, the Monthly collectable pin along with a 50% off code for a steam game called Lichdom Battlemage and a free download of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition. If you are a fan of LootCrate you know that there is a monthly Mega crate where one lucky person receives a giant crate with goods that are epic so to speak, this month they were giving away a Nintendo DS, a Wii U and games to go along with them not only did they do that but 20 other lucky people received a Wii U as well. I enjoyed the items that came in this package my favorite was the coin and the shirt because of how creative the design is. I've never received any items in the boxes I've received that were not high quality or well made, everything is sturdy and long lasting.

GlassDharma Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Glass Dharma for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

My fiance has sensitive teeth and it gives him a little bit of a painful sensation when ice touches his teeth so he uses a straw in his cup. Yes, he could skip on the ice but then it makes you drink get warmer faster. Myself and our kids also enjoy using straws and we use a ton of disposable straws that I buy in bulk from the store so I wanted to look for a better and cheaper alternative. That alternative? GlassDharma who sells glass straws in a variety of lengths, sizes and colors. "Since March of 2007 GlassDharma has been producing glass drinking straws. The  GlassDharma mission is to create world-wide awareness about single use plastics and how damaging plastic straws are to our environment. Glass Straws provide an alternative that eliminates the need for straws made from plastic."

We were sent four straws for review as you can see above only three survived unfortunately my daughter tried using one with a cup that was far too small for the straw and the weight of it caused the straw to fall out and it broke. Aside from the one incident we haven't had any issues with the straws if you make sure to use a cup that is the appropriate length for the straw you will be perfectly fine. We were sent a decorative dots straw, the simple elegance extra long drinking straw, a beautiful bends straw and one simple elegance eight inch length straw and a straw cleaner. It is so nice not having to throw away a handful of plastic straws and their wrappers every day because now I not only get to save money but I am helping the environment by producing less waste. The straws are easy to clean, dry quickly and they are wonderful to use they even sell straws with a wider neck to make drinking milk shakes easier. I find they also help keep the drink cooler on the way up, I personally love these straws and look forward to buying a few more.

Prize Alert:
One lucky winner is going to win a $25 gift code to GlassDharma.

AOS Designs Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by AOS Designs for the review free of charge.****

Halloween is almost upon us, everyone is looking for what they want to dress as this year but is a costume really complete without accessories? Part of what makes a costume pop is the makeup and jewelry that goes along with it for example if your going as Maleficent why not wear a gorgeous ring inspired by her? I recently found a magical etsy shop called AOS Designs who sells Disney Villain & Princess Jewelry along with Pick A Pearl Cages.

I was immediately drawn to the Maleficent ring which is shown in the first photo above, it is absolutely gorgeous and suits her personality perfectly. Along with the Maleficent ring there are dozens of cute jewelry items such as the Rapunzel silver tiara princess ring, and all the Disney charms for the loose charm lockets. I was sent the four items above for my products review, the products arrived extremely fast and were well labeled and packaged. The items are the Maleficent ring, Maleficent movie cameo necklace, Alice in Wonderland flower ring and the Sleeping Beauty tiara ring. I do wish I would have provided my ring size before the items were sent as the rings only fit my pinky so when you order don't forget to include your ring size!

The jewelry is well made and sturdy you won't have to worry about these breaking if your hand happens to bump into something hard. The jewelry has small details that help complete the piece for example the flower ring has dots on the petals and small eyes to make the flower look just like the flowers in the movie. All of their jewelry ranges from $6 to $30 plus shipping and they ship world wide. Customer service was fast and friendly, if you are looking for something specific that is related to Disney I am sure they would be happy to help you find it. I think this store has tons of great items for the Disney lover in your life!

Starlight Wraps Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Starlight Wraps for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

I generally don't wear a lot of jewelry I am very selective in what I will wear, but I've been wanting a bracelet for a while something that isn't too large, doesn't make noise and isn't going to catch on my clothing. While on my hunt for a new bracelet I found a company called Starlight Wraps who sells wrap bracelets in an assortment of colors. The company owner Rexann was kind enough to provide a little background on how her company came to be: " She is also the owner of a small clothing boutique in Estes Park, Colorado and in September of 2013 they were hit by a devastating flood and were virtually closed for almost 3 months.  She had always enjoyed jewelry design as a hobby prior, but with some extra time on her hands while the roads were being repaired in her city, she decided to create Starlight Wraps.  It has been a wonderful whirlwind for her since the beginning and she is so excited about the future of Starlight Wraps and hopes it continues to grow! Each piece in her collection is designed and handmade with great attention to detail.  Starlight Wraps is also dedicated to supporting various children's charities around the world by donating 20% of her net proceeds each year. They believe in striving to make a difference in the lives of children everywhere."

For my review I received a Stella wrap which is a gorgeous 3 Wrap Bracelet with black iridescent and dark purple beading. If you are indoors the purple beads appear more black but once you are out in the sunlight they shine a deep purple which looks quite beautiful. My bracelet arrived quickly and was sent in a cute draw string back which I will keep for future gifting. The bracelet seems like it could weight a bit however it feels almost weight less I sometimes forget I am wearing it, I typically don't sleep with it on because I don't want to risk it becoming lost in my sheets if it were to come off. Breakage wise I don't think it is likely it will break unless someone where to take a pair of scissors or a knife to your bracelet, My one and a half year old was trying his best to try and get the bracelet off my wrist and it didn't budge. It is easy to put on and take off with just one hand so you won't need anyone to assist you and it has three different lengths you can adjust it to depending on how tight you would like to wear it, I wear mine on the second loop. I have enjoyed working with Starlight Wraps and think you should head over to check out all of the beautiful wraps she has to offer.

Prize Alert:
One lucky winner will win the 5 wrap Cassiopeia, the retail value is $35 shown in the last image above.

Flytes of Fancy Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Flytes of Fancy for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

Who says pets can't celebrate the holiday too? There are a number of ways you can have your pet celebrate the holiday with you, one of those is Costumes! I recently found a very nice set of bat wings from a etsy shop called Flytes of Fancy.

The wings arrived in a very timely manner, Depending on where you live I would say the latest to order would probably be six days before Halloween to get them to you on time. The wings are well made they are padded to allow the maximum comfort to your dog or cat. I tried these wings on both my cat and my dog, my cat was a little timid and didn't know what to think but the wings stayed on even when he was running around the living room trying to get them off. My dog didn't mind them being on and was more calm about it, although I couldn't for the life of me get a non blurry photo of him in the wings even with treats as a bribe.

The wings have a string which is similar to a shoe lace that runs through it, you put the neck loop around your dog (or cat) and then tie the string under their belly to keep it in place. The day I received the wings my toddler decided to take the string out, I couldn't figure out how to get it back in so I messaged the shop owner who replied quickly and helped me string it back through. I enjoyed working with Flytes of Fancy they had fast shipping, friendly and helpful customer service and high quality products for your pets. All costumes and costume pieces range from $11 to $25 plus shipping. Want to see what else they have to offer? Head over to their etsy shop to see what they have.

Prize Alert:
One lucky winner will receive a set of Bat Wings in a size appropriate for their pet.
