Make Up For Ever Voxbox!

I recently received a Make Up For Ever Voxbox from Influenster, to test out for a review. The review is for Make Up For Ever's new Matte Velvet skin blurring powder foundation which retails for $38.

The packaging of the foundation is really nice, it comes in a metal tin with a pop open latch. Inside you'll find a good sized mirror, the foundation and a sponge applicator. I really like the applicator they sent with this, one side feels like a beauty blender and the other feels like a soft velvet.

The foundation itself is silky smooth and light weight, you can barely tell you are wearing it. It applies smooth and evenly, one layer is just right. You can use it by itself or use it with a primer, either way it is bound to look great. I've used this on three different occasions so far and it doesn't seem like I've used a lot of the product so I think this will last me quite some time. I am pretty happy with this product and look forward to using it more. You can instantly see it working as you are applying it, however if you have any dark color spots you need covered I may apply slightly more than one coat, otherwise it gives you a nice complete foundation look. L'Oreal Rouge Signature VoxBox!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Influenster for the review free of charge.**

I recently received a new Voxbox from Influenster and I am pretty excited about it because I am always on the look for new lipsticks. The Voxbox I received features L'Oreal Paris and their new Rouge Signature matte liquid lipstick collection which retails for $11.99 ($9.99 at Target) and comes in twelve different colors. I received the shades "I Create" - A nude with hints a brownish hue , "I Rule" - A pink that is a bit nude & "I am worth it" - A deep red.

I am pleased with the product packaging, each tube holds 0.23fl oz of lipstick. The tubes are almost bullet like in shape and the container looks like glass but it is actually a thick plastic so even if you drop it, the tube won't break. The tube also features a tight seal to keep the product safe and the applicator brush is quite nice in shape and feel. The applicator brush comes to a triangular point which is a little fluffy and has grooves that help the liquid lipstick stay in place as you are pulling out the applicator. I liked how smooth the liquid lipstick we on and I was pretty pleased with the coverage I received from the product.

Out of the three I highly enjoyed "I am worth it" which is the red you see in the image above, I've worn it a few times with different looks including just wearing a bit of black liner and a polka dot headband for a kind of vintage/rockabilly look. My go to is "I Rule" shown in the second image above, it is more of a creamy pink that is almost nude and it goes well with both bold looks and subtle looks. I do not however like the "I Create", it didn't really go with my skin tone it had a hue I almost can't describe as it came out with almost a light orange hue that I didn't enjoy.

When I took the photo of the red shade above it was actually a day I was just messing around with my makeup and contacts so I decided why not take the shots for the lipsticks as well? My mistake was trying out the red first, once I wiped it off I found that it worked like a lipstain and my lips stayed a slightly darker pink color than my lips normally are so you could tell I had something on earlier in the day. It actually looked pretty cute and I wasn't unhappy with it, but you could see the color through the other two shades so I put off taking photos of the other two. I get about 3-4 hours wear out of each application before needing to re-apply. This is a lipstick that I see myself using fairly often and I look forward to trying out more shades when I find them in store.

Which of the three shades do you like the most?

Influenster Origins VoxBox!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Influenster and Origins for the review free of charge.****

I recently received a Voxbox from Influenster containing a number of products from the new line by Origins a skin care solution company. The box included travel sized samples of five different products from their line, over the last week I have been testing them out and I am going to be sharing my experience here with all of you.

Checks & Balances -  This is a "frothy" face wash. It comes out of the container as a fluffy cream and you only need a very small amount, I've been using about a dime sized amount and it is the perfect amount for my face. The formula is a great consistency and feels light weight on your face, it doesn't feel greasy and it does not dry out my sensitive skin. The scent of it is hard to put a finger on, to me it smells like a minty sandalwood, it is a little odd but not unpleasant. This face wash has does wonders with my skin, it is currently "that" time of the month and normally at least a few break outs but this has helped keep everything under control and to me my pores actually look smaller. I love this face wash and I plan on buying a full sized bottle of this when my travel size is gone.

Clear Improvement - A Purifying charcoal mask. This charcoal mask formula is a bit thinner than others I have tried, I've found it takes a little more to get it even across my face. It is unscented which is nice because I don't always like for my facial products to be scented. Performance wise, I haven't really noticed a difference with this products and compared to other charcoal masks I've tried there really isn't a big "wow" factor to this product. I wouldn't purchase this product after the travel size is gone because for the price (1.7 oz for $17) it just isn't worth it to me.

High Potency night-a-mins - A overnight renewal cream. This has a light orange scent to it, it smells like how your hands do after you peel and eat an orange it isn't an overwhelming scent but more of a lingering orange scent. The formula feels a little thick on my face but after it dries and absorbs into my skin it feels refreshing and I can't tell the cream is there anymore. I do like that it leaves my face feeling refreshed and clean but it leaves my skin with a oily finish, if I run my fingers across my cheeks I can feel the oily substance which I don't really like and that is after using a thin sweep of this cream.

Ginzing Eye Cream - A Refreshing eye cream. This cream has a neat light pink coloring to it and it is unscented. The formula is thin and creamy, it absorbs into the skin nicely and doesn't leave any kind of greasy or oily film behind which is a big plus. I've used this twice in the morning because it is supposed to help brighten and depuff your under eye, I haven't noticed a big difference but it does make me feel a little better on mornings where I didn't get a lot of sleep the night before. The pink tone to the lotion gives your under eyes the look of having applied a highlighter.

Ginzing Moisturizer - A lightweight oil-free moisturizer. This is another product in their line that has the orange scent to it which is refreshing and it helps wake you up with its citrus scent. The formula is nice and light so it doesn't feel heavy on your skin, it also absorbs quickly leaving your skin feeling soft and moisturized.  I haven't noticed any kind of oily or greasy feeling form this products and I enjoy using it.
