PaRragon August Book Buddy Box!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by PaRragon for the review free of charge.**

It has been about two months since I've been able to share a book buddy box with all of you so I am excited they sent out a new box to review and share with all of my lovely readers. This months box is themed "Back To School" and features a number of educational books to help prepare your toddler for Kindergarten and beyond. All of the books are from a line called The Learnalots and they are a lot of fun.

The Learnalots Let's Learn Preschool, Kindergarten, & Second Grade: I was a little surprised they didn't include first grade and put second grade instead but I think that is because they sent a little 500 questions first grade book in place of the bigger book. Each of the Learnalots books has 256 page along with two pages of rewards stickers (50 stickers per page). Each book goes over different subjects that they would be going over for that grade level, for example the Preschool book goes over ABC's, 123's, Shapes colors and more. My four year old is great with his colors, shapes, etc so the preschool book is a breeze for him and helps keep his mind sharp and the others will help with the things he doesn't know or just needs more practice on like reading and writing.

I like how bright, crisp and clear each page in this book is all the characters and colors help hold his attention and they don't put in anything overly complicated for the age range that the book targets. Along with practicing their skills each book also has a number of fun games that feature the different subjects they are learning about. I like how big each book is, it is the perfect size to put up on the counter and work on together with my son.

Get Ready for Preschool & Kindergarten Learning Packs: Both packs come with five 32 page paper back books and each one has a page of stickers as well. Each book goes over the same subjects that are in the bigger learning books but these are easy to bring with on car rides, to doctor appointments, etc and they can all be put back into the handy carrying case when you are done with them. All of the characters in these books are well designed and are pretty darn cute, my kids have a blast looking at all of them.

Learnalots 500 first grade questions & Coding and computers book: The 500 questions book is specifically designed to help both the parents and child have fun together while learning. It covers a number of subjects and comes with an array of cute pictures and bright colors to help your child stay focused and get their attention. Some of the questions are silly and fun such as "Is a slumber party a sleepover with friends, or a party where people cut trees?" and "Does PB&J stand for peanut butter and jelly or pickles, bacon and juice?" and it also has more serious questions such as "What animal helps to pollinate flowers: a bear or bees" and " Which is larger 1/4 or 1/6". The only thing I don't like about this book is the size/shape it is hard to keep it to stay open you really have to bend the spine back in order to get it to stay otherwise it wants to close the entire time you are reading it. While flipping through this trying to look at the pages a small section of the pages actually fell right out of the book which was a bit disappointing.

The coding book is a lot of fun for older kids, it helps teach kids about computers and the coding that helps keep everything running smoothly. It has 48 pages of information and comes with over 300 fun stickers to make learning coding fun!

Magic Whiteboard Review

I am excited that I found a great new product for my daughters room & play area,I recently found a product called Magic Whiteboard. I was recently sent a roll of Magic Whiteboard Sheets,What is a Magic Whiteboard sheet? The Magic Whiteboard is a Whiteboard on a Roll, and it is perfect for home, school and the office, from the playroom to the classroom to the boardroom. It is completely erasable and sticks to any hard, flat surface using electrostatic technology, so no adhesive is needed. You can reuse each sheet more than 20 times and recycle it when you’re ready to throw it away. Any ink from dry erase markers will rub off easily even if left on for days, but note that dry erase ink can rub off when sheets are folded or rolled.

To give it a test run I placed it onto the closet door in my bedroom,Why? Some days I leave before my Husband & others he leaves before me while the other still sleeps so I thought it would be nice to leave friendly daily reminders, notes, ect. It unrolls easily though I did tear it slightly trying to separate it off of the roll,Other wise it went right onto the closet door perfectly. It is easy to write on & the marker wipes off very smoothly without leaving any color or marks behind. I plan to keep the rest of the rolls in the package for now until we moved into our new home at the beginning of the year, then I plan to make a small learning area for my children which will include these hanging on the wall. It will help with ABC's,123's & spelling if needed they can be cut to any shape or size you would like so you can add them in other places of your home such as next to the fridge or on the fridge, next to the computer desk & more. I have enjoyed using this product & would like to use some of their other products as well,If you home school this is something you should definitely look into. Feel free to head over & "Like" them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter to keep updated with their new products. ****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. Ripley's Believe it or Not! GIVEAWAY & Review

When I get the chance to I love to read when I was a kid it was one of my favorite past times but now that I have a family to take care of,a Etsy shop,a blog & a full time job to maintain I don't always have the time to sit down & read. On that note I have always been a big fan of Ripley's Believe it or Not! so when I was offered a chance to review their book Strikingly True 2012 I made sure to make time to read through it. Strikingly True features incredible people such as Lucky Diamond Rich and his completely tattooed body, unusual animals like the giant deep-sea isopod, and one-of-a-kind works of art including Rev Mayer’s blood paintings.

Once I knew my book was on its way I felt like a child patiently waiting for a new toy to arrive,It didn't seem to get here fast enough.[Note the book did not take very long to get here I just wanted to read it] once it arrived I started reading it just a few short minutes after it arrived I took some time away from my blog for a few days to take the time to enjoy reading this book. Right away I started finding things I found fascinating I am sure my fiance was being driven a little insane when I tried to read every other one to him. This book offers a lot of reading materials on everything from people,to places & animals the book is 245 pages long each page has any where from 10-20 short paragraphs about some pretty remarkable feats for example here is one of my favorites "A stork named Eodan flies 8,080 Miles each year from South Africa to Brodski Varos,Croatia to visit his handicapped mate,Malena who is unable to fly. They have chicks each year and Rodan teaches them to fly.He then takes them with him to South Africa for the winter and returns with them to Malena in the spring" it was such a touching story its amazing what people & animals do for those they love. If love struck animals aren't your type of thing there are plenty of Tattooed people,Horrible accidents people lived through,Nature devastation & more for your to read through enjoy & get shocked by in this book of Strikingly True 2012. Ripley's Believe it or Not! never fails to surprise me they always offer something to fascinate me with,I have enjoyed working with Ripley's Believe it or Not! & hope to do so again in the future. I think this book is worth the read & would be a great book to reread after your done or even to pass along to a friend who might enjoy the contents of this book,If your looking for a Unique birthday or holiday present this book would make a great gift. This book took me a few days to read I received a lot of entertainment from this book & I am happy to have it in my book collection.****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. ThinkFun Review

My daughter is just now getting to the age where she is able to understand Board games so I have been trying to start up a collection of board games that range in age so we can start to play them as she gets older. When I was offered a chance to work with a company called ThinkFun I couldn't refuse they have a great selection of games for all ages. For my review I was sent a game called Snack Attack which is aimed for kids 4 years & up.

Here is the description from their website "If your kids are craving a fun time, bring Snack Attack! to the table and serve up a fast-paced picture matching, token stacking challenge that will have players of all ages coming back for more! Spin the delightful Snack Attack! Spinner Platter and the Snack Tokens magically appear. The spinning is half the fun – everyone can get in on the fun and the player with the most Snack Tokens wins! " The game was easy to set up & fun to play it makes a great new addition to our growing collection. This is a great game for adults to play with their children or for kids to play together,It is a great way to get everyone to participate in a group activity while keeping them entertained & engaged with the game. The game tokens are large enough for a toddler to hold easily & small enough they don't take up a lot of space on the table. My daughter enjoys playing this game it is fun for her to try to match all of the little tokens to the matching picture on the card. The ThinkFun website is easy to navigate letting you pick the game that is best for your child[ren]. The shipping of this product was fast ****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The giveaways I have two of them for you tonight & I hope you enjoy them both. The first company I want to share with you tonight is called Little One Books, I really love working with this company I have worked with them once in the past & have had fantastic results.I am not only here to present you with a Review but a giveaway as well.

For my review I receive a book called "The Hat" here is a little about the book from the Little One Books Website: "When Lisa's woolen stocking flies off the clothesline, Hedgie finds it and pokes his nose in. He tries to pull it off, but the stocking won't budge -- and so the fun begins as six noisy farm animals laugh at Hedgie, especially when he tries to pretend that he's wearing a new hat. In the end, it's the clever hedgehog who gets the last laugh when the animals reappear looking proud and silly with all sorts of winter clothing on their heads. But where is Lisa when all of this is going on? She's in the borders, getting ready for winter until she realizes her stocking is gone and she enters the story to find it." I highly enjoy this book & my daughter enjoys having it read to her,The photos in the picture are great the Hedge hog in the story is super adorable as well as the other animals,All of the illustrations are wonderful & in full color, the story really brings the feel of winter to you as you read the story it is very heart warming & nice to read a great family tale for the whole family. For my Review I received a My Tot Clock for my daughter,I think the clocks are very adorable they have an interchangeable story card so that your clock will play new stories,Not only does the My Tot clock tell stories at bed time,It sings,It rings & has different lights for the various settings It also has timers & alarms,If your child needs 'Time out' you can place the red light on & set the timer,The blue light means bed time,Yellow means wake up & green is Encouragement time. Some other fun features this clock has is the face plate is interchangeable & it has both a manual & digital clock on it.My daughter has enjoyed the time she had with this clock unfortunately it fell off of our Kitchen counter onto the floor & stopped working though my daughter does still play with it because she uses the buttons to name colors & we have her point to the numbers & say what they are. This clock is very helpful & educational for Toddlers & young children this clock can help them fall asleep at night & know when its okay to get up in the morning that way they are not getting up at 5am & waking mommy/daddy up.****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used.
