CompletEats has a cookie to fit your Gluten-free & Vegan needs!

Looking around for a gluten-free, plant-based treat? CompletEats offer four different flavors of cookies that are each gluten-free, plant-based and vegan! The four flavors they offer are Banana Bread, Mocha Chip, Cherry Almond and Chocolate Chia. They had a holiday flavor as well which was peppermint cacao chip, I was recently sent some of the peppermint and Banana bread to try out. I was asked to incorporate the cookies into a recipe if I could, so I want to not that I am not vegan so neither of these recipes are vegan however there are alternatives out there that are vegan and can be used instead. Their cookies are made with delicious and wholesome ingredients like cherries, chia seeds, almonds, coffee and more!

I decided to use the Peppermint Cacao Chip as a crust base for some mini cheesecakes, you can make a while cheesecake or you can make mini cheesecakes. I used a food processor to turn the cookies into crumbs and I was surprised how well they blended up, which could be due to how moist and fluffy the cookies are. Much like using graham crackers you'll add a bit of melted butter to the mixture so it form fits to the pan, however you will want to avoid doing what I did. What was that? My brain thought it would need the same time that graham cracker crust does to bake, but I was wrong and the cups got a little burned around the top so I suggest setting the timer for about five minutes less than what you normally would. Due to them not looking the best I am going to skip the photo for this one, but they turned out pretty good. I like the little addition of peppermint, it gave it a nice kick.

The Banana Bread I decided to make ice cream sandwiches with because I love ice cream sandwiches. To make them quick and easy to make I used pre-made store bought ice cream, after I brought the container home I cut the container open so I could take the ice cream out. Once the ice cream has been removed you can cut it into slices and use a cup to create perfect little circles to add in between two cookies. We have a decent selection of sprinkles so I put some on a plate and rolled the ice cream sandwich in it to add a little flair to them. These cookies do not need to be added to a dessert, they are great on their own! It is just fun to mix it up and spice up your desserts from time to time.

At the moment CompletEats sells a sample pack which comes with one cookie of each flavor, a six pack that comes with a random variety or you can buy a twelve pack of a single flavor. The cookies had a lot of flavor and they were pretty thick so they were filling. Their product packaging was nice and it was easy to open, Also how cute is their logo? I love that the "C" is a little moon.

Mama Lee's Bakery Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Mama Lee's for the review free of charge.****

Macarons seem to have become quite popular over the last year or so and I can see why because they are quite adorable and come in a wide range of fun colors and flavors. Up until a few months ago I had never tried a macaron until my step-dad bought some and let everyone try them, I thought they were good but I knew they had to taste better being consumed within a few days of them being baked. Mama Lee's Bakery is a small business based out of  Atlanta, Georgia and her products can be bought online via their Etsy shop. Store owner Mama Lee sells vegan macarons, doughnuts, brownies and tarts. Pssst she also sells Mickey Mouse shaped macarons!!!!

Mama Lee's agreed to work together on a product review of some of her macarons, she offers fourteen delicious sounding flavors, I couldn't decide which sounded best so I told her to surprise me. When I received my package everything was boxed up beautifully, they came in a small white bakery box with string tied around it and everything was placed into the box with pink tissue paper. What flavor did I receive? I received Birthday cake complete with sprinkles in the filling. The macarons were a tiffany blue color and had sprinkle filling inside, each one was baked perfectly it had a nice crunch on the outside and was soft/chewy on the inside they were quite delicious. Each one had just the right amount of filling, there wasn't so much that it ruined the crunch to chew ratio and it wasn't so little you weren't able to taste it. My only complaint? How quickly they get devoured when several people are eating them, I wish I had more! I also wanted to mention that these are Gluten free, dairy free, egg free--totally vegan and wanted to let you know they are made in a kitchen which contains tree nuts, peanuts, soy, and/or wheat so if you have allergies that is something to be aware of. You can purchase a dozen for $25 plus shipping which is a really great price for macarons.

Talenti Gelato Reivew

After dinner is generally when the sweet tooth's start talking, Everyone has their own preference when it comes to desserts and sweets I personally love Talenti Gelato I prefer it over Ice cream & other sweet treats. Talenti began as a gelateria in 2003 and has since grown into the best-selling gelato in the US. Talenti offers a unique experience, using only the finest natural and raw ingredients, carefully sourced locally and from around the world—Belgian Chocolate, fresh whole Tahitian vanilla beans from Papua New Guinea, select coconuts from the Philippines, and real Argentine dulce de leche are just a few of the many fine ingredients used to create Talenti gelatos and sorbettos.

I recently had a chance to try three of their flavors I decided upon the following three: Mediterranean Mint,Caramel Cookie Crunch & Double Dark Chocolate. In the photo above you can see the Mediterranean Mint & Caramel Cookie Crunch along with some extra goodies I threw on because of pregnant cravings. The Gelato is very smooth & comes out of the container very easily with a lot of ice creams you have to use a scoop or wait until it defrosts a little before you can properly get it out of the container but you never have to worry about that with this Gelato. The Mediterranean Mint is the perfect combination of chocolate chips and mint flavor it has a very smooth taste just a little bit of it and your sweet tooth will be very happy.I enjoy the Caramel Cookie Crunch but wouldn't say that it is my favorite from the brand but it is very tasty and sweet with a very even taste between the flavors. I am not a huge fan of dark chocolate but my husband loves it so I picked out the Double Dark Chocolate for him much to my surprise it is quite tasty it doesn't have the harsh coco taste I have noticed in other dark chocolate products.  The Gelato is very sweet & rich I could honestly eat one of the jars by myself in one sitting,But I am sure my waist wouldn't be too happy with that a positive is that Gelato is a much healthier choice than Ice cream & tastes better the only thing I can think of that I would like to see changed is for them to offer bigger sizes of the product the containers they offer now are great for small families but if you have a larger family or are planning an event like a birthday party you will need more than one. Head over to the Talenti website to see if a store near you carries their brand other wise you are truly missing out on something amazing. ****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used.
