Escapology Tempe Review!

My kids have both done at home Escape "rooms" with us in the past & have been wanting to do a in person Escape room for quite sometime, so I set out to look for one that is family friendly. I found a spot in Tempe that not only offers regular escape rooms, but if you are looking for a birthday party idea they also have rooms specifically designed for kids to escape together as a group. The room we selected isn't specifically geared towards children, however it was a moderate challenge room & our children who are ten and fifteen felt confident they would do just fine. Escapology Tempe was kind enough to have the four of us out to test out one of their escape rooms & write a review for them. Escapology Tempe offers seven different rooms, plus they have a kids mode as well. Rooms at Escapology are private so you will not need to worry about another party joining in with you.

The room we selected was Batman: The Dark Knight Challenge. The theme for this room was is that you & your group are part of a training course who is sent out on a mission by Batman to stop a disaster from happening in Gotham. You have sixty minutes to find & solve clues that will help you complete your mission, save Gotham City & escape the room. If you get stuck your game master will be able to help provide some clues to help you progress. So, were we able to beat the clock and save Gotham City? Keep reading to find out.

This challenge consisted of three rooms full of puzzles that need to be solved & completed before the clock runs out. You start off your adventure in the Batcave being given instructions by Batman, once he is finished giving you a run down of what your mission is the first step is to find your way out of the Batcave. I enjoyed how they had everything set up in the Batcave, you did feel like you are in a real room set up by Batman for briefings and training. This is also the area where you'll find a screen which will hold any clues you ask for along with a basket to hold any belongings you do not wish to carry the entire time. I honestly wasn't keeping a close eye on the clock so I can not say how long it took to get out of the first room.

The second room was well thought out as well with how everything was decorated and made to feel as though it was part of the Gotham City world & that you are actually in Arkham looking for clues as to how you will stop the disaster in the city. This room had a lot more physical things that were able to be found, moved and completed which was a lot of fun & I felt like we all did a great job contributing to certain aspects of different puzzles to figure it out as a team.

Entering the last room we had just under sixteen minutes left to complete the final steps. We were able to do one of the puzzles & collect a piece we needed for the final puzzle however one of the puzzles that needed to be completed in this room stopped us in our tracks. I do not want to go into complete detail of what the puzzles was as that would ruin the fun for anyone else wanting to do this game. I will note though that when the screen dinged after we spent quite a while on the puzzle, the clue that was on the screen already matched what we had figured out & what was written down on our little notepad. We had tried the combination forwards, backwards and with a combination of signs as well but nothing seemed to work. We did sadly end up losing! When our host came in after, I asked her if she could show us what the answer was along with showing her on our notepad our list of the order + the different ways I tried to punch them in. She went to hit the same buttons I had & said it should have done something so I honestly have no clue if it was something we had done wrong or if this particular puzzle wasn't working properly. She had let us know she would tell her manager about it as she seemed slightly puzzled as well. My husband & kids felt slightly robbed with that puzzle, but it happens!

Even without escaping we did have a lot of fun & it was great seeing the kids in action figuring out puzzles and helping with clues. My husband and I think they did a fantastic job and we are looking forward to taking them to do another escape room in the future. We went on Easter, so Escapology actually had some Easter eggs hidden around their lobby area which was a cute way to decorate for the holiday. I had thought it was just the lobby eggs were hidden, but during our escape game my son actually found an egg hidden in one of the rooms! It had candy and a little note to take it to a staff member to redeem for a free game in the future. I thought that was a nice touch to add for guests coming in on a holiday. Escape rooms are always fun to do with friends or with family! If you are looking for something exciting to do, why not try out an escape room? Stop by their website to see the different themes they offer and book a escape challenge today. Prices for the rooms range from $36 per player for the kids mode up to $44 per player for certain rooms.

These pendants aren't only attractive but they are sturdy, light weight and well made.  The batman cupcakes feature a Bat, two tiny bat ears, a cake and a yellow utility belt. The top of the cupcake is a light grey and the bottom along with the decorations are black. The wonder woman cake features the 'W' logo and her crown in the colors Red,Gold,Blue and White the base is blue with white polka dots for stars. I think these are well made there are no finger prints or stay lines on the clay used to make these pendants and the coloring is wonderful, bright and fun. The earrings look a little large in the photos but I promise once they are on your ears they aren't as large as you would think & they are light weight which is a plus. Super Nails Giveaway & Review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Super Nails for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

I love video games, comics and watching movies one of my all time favorites as many of you know is Batman. When I found some comic inspired nail polish by Super Nails on etsy I couldn't pass them up. KC the owner of Super Nails has allowed me to do a review & giveaway of her Comic inspired polishes, she also has a large selection of non comic book polishes for ever season. For my review I received the following polishes: Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, and Loki I was sent the Mini bottles. All Super Nails polishes are 5-FREE, vegan, and free of formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde-resin, camphor, and carmine.

Customer service is A+ the owner is friendly, speedy at replies and talented when it comes to creating beautiful polishes. The polish arrived wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent damage during shipping, It also came with a Thank you note which included a helpful tip to "Dab" the polish on verses brushing it on. Each polish is quite unique here is a description of each; Harley Quinn: Clear polish base with black and red diamonds and glitters. Poison Ivy: Clear polish base with dense tiny holographic green for her skin, larger green hexes for leaves and red hexes for Poison Ivy's hair. Wonder Woman: Clear polish base with gold, red and blue hex glitters and white stars, just like Wonder Woman's uniform! & Loki: Clear polish with dark matte green, metallic gold and black glitters to capture Loki's theme colors.

My personal favorite is the Poison Ivy, It suits the character perfectly I love that it has the larger green hexes for the leaves and the red speckles for her hair. I actually received a few compliments on this polish within the first few hours of wearing it, I plan on wearing it quite often and will need to buy a larger bottle soon. My second favorite is the Loki the colors mix well and I enjoy how it looks, I plan to use it over a base coat of green and black. The Harley Quinn & Wonder Woman are tied when it comes to how much I like the both of them I enjoy the Diamond and Star glitter that was in each container, how ever I wish there we a few more stars in my wonder woman bottle I couldn't for the life of me get the stars to come out of the bottle it was the only one I had an issue with. The polish applies nicely I am a little sloppy when it comes to painting my right hand but any spots that ended up on the skin were easy to clean, the polish dried fast and looked great. I applied two clear coats to keep the glitter protected, If you have read any of my polish reviews you will know that I LOVE glitter polish. The only thing I don't like with some glitter polishes is how much the glitter sticks out from the nail and leaves it feeling sandy, I didn't have that issue with the Super Nail polish I received everything laid flat and smooth. It is no lie that all polishes have a small to them sometimes when using a heavily harsh scents polish my fiance will have me go to the other side of the room as it makes his head hurt, these polishes have a light scent and can't be detected unless you place the polish right under your nose. I plan on buying a larg size version of the Poison Ivy polish and will be checking out some of her other polishes as well. Mini Polishes are $3.99 a bottle and Full sized bottles are $7.99, The Mini bottles are great for testing out each polish but if you find one you know you will be using often I suggest going for the full sized bottle. Super Nails sells Internationally so anyone is free to pick up a bottle or two.

Prize Alert:

One Lucky reader is going to win a set of 5 Mini Batman & Villains which includes: Batman, Poison Ivy, The Joker, Robin & Harley Quinn Retail Value: $17.95.

This Giveaway is open to US Readers, How ever if you are International you can enter but would need to pay the shipping charges.

Letters Earrings Review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Letters Earring for the review free of charge.****

I only own one ring which is my engagement ring but I have been wanting to get more so I started searching around which is when I found Letters Earring on etsy. Letters Earring offers rings, earrings, Bracelets, Anklets and necklaces in both gold and silver they have dozens of options to choose from but the one that caught my eye was the Batman; Open Bat Symbol ring in silver.

I was recently sent a silver open bat symbol ring for review purpose here on my blog, Seeing as it shipped from South Korea it has a speedy shipping time. The ring arrived in an adorable small blue box with a bow on top, the ring was in perfect condition. The ring is light weight, the band is thin but sturdy usually with rings with a band this thin you can "smush" between your fingers and make the band bend but that isn't the case with this ring. The bat symbol itself is filed down and polished to make sure none of the edges are sharp and prevent it from catching on anything such as clothing or hair which would cause issues and possible injuries. The ring I received fits my pinky finger  perfectly I have been wearing it since I received it and have had no issues with it slipping off, catching on anything or bugging me in anyway it is a cute and simple design that fits my personality. The ring sells for $13.80 plus shipping and handling in the Letters Earring etsy shop you can choose from a silver or gold ring, please not this ring only comes in a size 6.5 US sizing. I will personally be coming back to their shop when I feel like buying more jewelry I love a few dozen of the items they sell everything is dainty and adorable which is just the way I like it. Head over to their shop to see what they have in store for you.
