When out in public places with a large crowd the last thing you want to think about is your child becoming lost. It is something many parents don't think will ever happen to them, but things happen and sometimes during that split few seconds you aren't paying attention your child may go look at something or stop to look at something and you keep walking not realizing they aren't right behind you. Aside from going to the security staff and having them help look for your child what is another way you can ensure you can find your child faster? If they are young and don't have a cell phone you can have them keep an emergency contact bracelet or card with them but I recently found an Etsy shop called Tat-A-Saurus that not only sells temporary tattoos but they also sell children's emergency contact temp tattoos that I think are a pretty neat idea and it is something that is always on the child so it could easily be spotted and will help your child return to you faster.

 



The emergency contact temporary tattoos feature a cartoon character along side either "If lost please call", "Peanut allergy, please call", "I am non verbal please call"  or "Egg allergy" and the phone number of your choice. For my review I wanted to go with the "If lost please call", next month we are going on a family trip to Disneyland and I thought these would be good to have even if they don't come into play it is nice to have the piece of mind. Just like with regular temporary tattoos you will want to clean the spot you will be applying the tattoo, Tat-a-saurus provides you with alcohol pads to clean the spot and remove any oils from the skin. Then simply use a damp cloth to apply the tattoo, let dry and you are good to go. You should avoid placing it in a spot where they will be washing, for example the forearm would work the best so the tattoo stays in tact.

I tested one of these temporary tattoos on my son and it went on smoothly, however he moved his arm while I was trying to remove the backing of the tattoo which made the character get a little mushed together so I ended up not taking a photo of that part of the process. The tattoo lasted until the next day and it didn't leave any residue or redness behind to indicate it was there. The emergency contact tattoos sell for $10 for a set of eight. When I host birthday parties or special occasions I like to try and spice things up with cute decorations, fun foods, etc. but until recently I never really thought about putting out photo props for the guests to use and have fun taking photos with. The reason why I recently thought about photo props was when I came upon a fabulous etsy shop and I received the opportunity to work with Tina the lovely and wonderful owner of Alice Ann London a London based etsy shop that offers paper goods, gifts and home decor. For my review I received a fourteen piece Superhero party photo booth props.





What is a photo booth prop? Generally photo booth props are fun masks, quote signs, etc that are made from either paper or card stock and attached to a stick which can be used to hold the prop in front of your face during a photo. The set I received from Tina comes with a mixture of full sized masks, along with a couple half face masks, a Boom action bubble, and super hero emblems each one is bold,bright and strudy. These props are very well made and some even have a little weight to them because the card stock is stacked on top of each other to give them the effects they have and makes it to were they don't just lay flat. I feel like these props will last significantly longer than other props I've seen and you can feel the love that was put into them as they were being made. Communication with the shop owner is great, she responds quickly and is always friendly. The props were mailed all the way from the UK but arrived in a timely manner and were in perfect condition, my kids love these props. Below are some of the other products Tina makes and sells;

February Beauty Prize Pack Giveaway!

Non-sponsored posts always prove difficult to write up, I can never decide whether to write something personal or to write about upcoming posts. Why not both? DrawsGood Gifts & Apparel Review!

One of the best ways to show off your love for your favorite video games, TV shows, movies, etc. is by wearing T-shirts that feature images and quotes from your favorites. A recently Etsy shop I came across called DrawsGood Gifts & Apparel who sells a variety of hand drawn Video game and TV inspired apparel items. One of the shirts that caught my interest the most was a Final Fantasy 7 Cloud inspired shirt which I will be reviewing below.





The shirt I received is printed onto a Fruit of the Loom HD cotton shirt, I received a Men's large. Typically I wear a size large shirt but the cut of this shirt was a little small in the chest area which for most isn't that big of a deal but I have a rather large chest and don't normally wear form fitting clothing. The material of the shirt is comfortable, soft and it is long enough that it will go slightly past your tail bone which is nice because when you bend over your crack won't be visible if your pants fall down a little. One big thing I noticed when this shirt arrived was that it didn't smell like anything, I've received printed tees in the past that have a harsh chemical smell.

When being washed this shirt needs to be turned inside out so that the print is on the inside. I absolutely love the design of the shirt, I think it is a pretty creative way to show case one of Final Fantasy's characters in a way that not everyone will know what your shirt is but those who are fans will be able to pick up on it right away. The design features clouds in the sky, the largest has a top shaped like the character Cloud's hair and it has a lightning bolt coming out that represents his buster sword and one of the other clouds has a Moogle sticking out. My fiance thinks the design is a little girly but that is fine by me because that means I get this shirt all to myself. The Everyman Armory Giveaway & Review!

One of my favorite things about cosplay is that you can cosplay no matter what age you are all that matters is that you love what you do and you have fun. While cosplaying is a lot of fun it can also be a lot of work to create outfits, accessories and weapons that look like what you are wanting to portray and not everyone has that kind of time to invest into a cosplay piece so that is where sellers like The Everyman Armory comes in because they make the gear for you to make cosplaying easier. The Everyman Armory mainly specializes in weaponry from various video games. The weapon I received to review is a piece from a game called Borderlands 2, I have included an image of how the weapon looks in game so you can see how close the replica is to the real (well virtual) thing.

 This specific Jakobs gun has a variety of different looks in the game but the most prominent feature of it is the bayonet which is also the key piece to this cosplay replica piece. As you can see Capt'n J the shop owner puts a lot of thought into each replica and I think he has managed to capture the essence of the in gun game beautifully, it has the same type of barrel and gun size and it has the bayonet as well. This gun is actually a modded and painted nerf bullet gun, and yes it does still work although the shooting speed may be lowered from an average nerf gun to to the fact this one has been altered. Looking over the piece I can't find any spots that were visible and unpainted, he even took the slide off and painted under it so when you pull it back it matches the rest of the gun. He also made small custom "Jakobs" labels to place on both sides of the gun which show the specific gun maker brand from the game.

 

I am actually pretty impressed with how Capt'n J carved out the underside of the gun to make the bayonet fit in snuggly, and the extra nice thing is the bayonet is removable so you don't have to lug it around as a large piece. The top part of the gun was also cut away to make room for the sight/scope addition piece. The gun is light weight and there is a lot of attention to detail he even included lining to make it appear as if it is in a video game and he took the gun apart to paint some of the inner pieces as well so everything flowed together. He responds quickly and is always friendly and helpful when questions are asked, shipping was lightning fast and everything was packaged nicely to make sure everything was delivered in one piece, and he even included a Borderlands themed postcard of him dresses as Kreig and it even has postage on it so it is ready to be sent out.

Skin Safari Botanicals Giveaway & Review!

At the end of a long and stressful day one of the best ways to unwind is by relaxing in a nice hot bath, but a nice relaxing bath isn't complete with either bath salts or a bath bomb to help melt the stress of the day away. I am a bit of a bath goods nut and I love finding new bath products that smell good and help my skin so I was excited to receive the chance to work with a splendid etsy shop called Skin Safari Botanicals. For my review I wanted to try out the bath salts offered by Skin Safari Botanicals but I wasn't sure which scent I wanted to try so I asked Lana the shop owner to surprise me with a scent and noted the only scent I don't like is Lavender. I received two scents the Grapefruit withYlang Ylang and Lemongrass with Ylang Ylang which arrived in an Eco-friendly box with a business card attached. Skin Safari Botanicals also sells mud masks, face scrubs, lip balms and much more!

The scent of both bags smell lovely, out of the two I would say the Grapefruit-Ylang Ylang is my favorite which I thought was funny since I can't stand to eat grapefruits but I have to say they smell pretty good. As with all bath products the results of the products you use vary from bathtub to bathtub, if you have one of those spa tubs that hold a lot of water you will want to use more than the suggested amount to get the desired results. I would say my bathtub is a pretty standard size, it isn't as big as I want but it gets the job done so for the size I added four scoops of the bath salts, but ended up adding two more mid-bath. I like how fast the bath salts dissolved into my bath, I've used some in the past that just sit on the bottom of the tub and you can feel them on your feet when you get in which is annoying so I was relieved these didn't do that. My bath was relaxing and the salts didn't irritate my skin and I didn't feel like my skin was dried out or oily. The scent was nice in the bath but didn't leave any lingering smell on my skin. I am pretty happy with the bath salts themselves and the packaging, the bag they are stored in is tough and can hold up to getting wet and each bag includes a small wooden scoop to get the bath salts out which is pretty handy.

Sweet Emii Creations Giveaway & Review!

Two of my favorite things is collecting things that reflect my interest and handmade items so when both of those combine it makes that item that much better. I recently came upon a charming etsy shop called Sweet Emii Creations that sells a variety of small plushes, prints, and more that are all equally cute and will make you say "Awww" out loud when you start looking through the shop. Emily the shop owner is a self-taught sculpture and craft lover who is currently going to school for animation and her unique designs and creative ideas really show in her work. Emily makes and sells earrings, charms, prints, tiny plush figures, cards, magnets, string artwork and more with many fun fandoms in mind such as MLP, Pokemon and Studio Ghibli.

Emily offers a variety of fun kawaii type products all of which are adorable in their own way, some I wanted myself, other products I thought my daughter would love so it was hard to choose which I would want to review. In the end I narrowed it down to the MLP Princess Luna tiny plush and the Toothless tiny plush and had Emily surprise me! As you can see from the photos above I was sent Princess Luna who is my favorite My Little Pony character (of course! Who else would it be?).

Each of the mini plushes sold by Sweet Emii Creations measure from 3 1/2- 5 1/2 inches in length, small enough to be a purse or pocket pal. Princess Luna is made from a very soft silky material with a tulle type material with the eyes and cutie mark embroidered on. There is a little stuffing in the belly of the plush and the head so there is a slight bit of weight to this to keep it from falling off a shelf or desk. The head doesn't move a whole lot but it will lift up slightly, you can't see it too well but she is wearing a moon cowl around her neck. Mini plushes start at $26 each one is handmade some of it is hand sewn and some is done by machine, over all this is a wonderful piece to add to any collection. Due to it's price I wouldn't suggest this as a toy for a young child instead it is more of a collectors piece and a very well made one. Shipping was quick and Princess Luna came neatly packaged with a business card and thank you note included.
