Ever since I was little I've always been a big book worm, I love physical books that I can hold in my hand because of the weight, the smell and the wonderful memories I have from past books. Having a physical book means needing a book mark, I can't stand folding over the corner of the page because it ruins the page so I like using bookmarks that won't ruin the book. I've recently found a bit of extra time to start reading again but realize I don't have a decent book mark, I've just been using business cards or anything I can get my hands on. I no longer have to use what ever flat object is around me as a book mark any longer thanks to an Etsy shop called Little Black Cat.





The bookmark I received has two of my favorite things, Harry Potter and Groot, this bookmark is making me even more anxious to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 because of baby Groot.This book mark is a lot of fun and it is thick enough that it has a little bit of weight to it so that it stays in the book but it isn't thick enough that it will leave a dent in your book. The color of the book mark looks great and I think the baby Groot is beyond adorable, this bookmark makes me smile every time I see it. Shipping was quick and the bookmark was in an adorable little packaging with a thank you note and a business card which I thought was a great touch.  This book mark sells for $3.87 each which I think is worth it because it feels like a book mark that will last you a long time, not only because of how it is made but because it is plastic instead of paper it won't get ruined if it ever gets wet. Little Black Cat not only sells "My Patronus is" book marks but they also sell movie reel clip bookmarks.

Fable Fox Review & Giveaway!

 Disney•Pixar's Up is a wonderful animated feature that takes you on an emotional journey and makes you feel connected with the characters during the progression of the story. During this movie Ellie gives Carl a little grape soda bottle pin when she invites him to be part of her explorer club, He wears this throughout the entire film. When their journey wraps up Carl gives Russell the pin as "the highest honor he can bestow" which is a really heart felt moment. If you are a Disney or Pixar collector and like to collect things from the movies this is something you should definitely have in your collection. I recently found a great Etsy shop called Fable Fox that creates high quality replicas of the Ellie badge and they've agreed to let me host a review and giveaway here on my blog.

For my review I was sent one of the Ellie badges and I am quite pleased with it. The base is a light weight silver bottle cap which has had a grape soda label placed onto it with a clear plastic seal on top. The bottle cap appears to be brand new and used for the purpose of crafting it does not appear to be used in any form. The bottle cap is punctured through both sides to allow the safety pin through so you can pin it to a purse, lanyard, shirt, etc. The pin is actually quite easy to pin onto different accessories and it looks great I think it fits in nicely with my Disney collectable pins.





I like that the badge arrived on a little backing that had the quote from UP along with a bunch of balloons in the background, and it arrived in a little bubble mailer to keep it protected. I've seen several different small shops selling similar badges but just based off color wise this is my personal favorite because the badge is a deep purple like in the movie verses some of the lighter versions other shops sell. Shipping was speedy and communication speeds are great.

Panda Q Stationery Giveaway & Review!

One of the things I like most about stationary is that it comes in a large assortment of deigns that fits all of you personal interests and it is a lot of fun to collect. I absolutely adore Kawaii stationary so you can imagine my excitement when I found Panda Q Stationery on Etsy. Panda Q Stationery sells a large assortment of pens, flake stickers,washi tape,note pads and lots more all at affordable prices.





I received the lovely chance to work with Panda Q Stationery on a review and a giveaway! For my review I received a cute blank note book, a bag of flake stickers and an ink pen. The notebook is interesting, it is cartoon is style so it looks like the smaller book opens but really it is one big book, and it doesn't have any cardboard backing along the spine. The notebook seems sturdy enough but I probably wouldn't suggest it for heavy usage projects instead just to jot notes in or doodle in due to the way the spine is, the notebook came with a cute paper ruler (no measurements included, this is to help line the paper if needed). The pen writes very well, it is smooth and it keeps the lettering small which is perfect for my weekly reminder binder so this pen has actually been moved to my purse so I can use it on a daily basis. The flake stickers were pretty cute, the backings are easy to get off and the coloring is great. Customer service is friendly and replies to messages quickly, shipping was speedy and everything was packaged in bubble wrap to keep it safe during transit. There are so many cute products in this shop that I know I am going to get myself into trouble come pay day because I want more of these pens for my reminder binder. Stop by their shop for weekly specials and deals, the current special is milk pens for $1 each.

Dream Drop Bath Bombs Giveaway & Review!

Aside from the ingredients the number on thing that draws me to a bath bomb is the scent, now seeing as how they haven't invented a device yet to let you smell through the computer screen sometimes you have to take a chance and buy a product even if you aren't certain it will smell the way you want it to. I like bath bombs that not only scent your bath water but leave you smelling like the amazing bath bomb as well and Dream Drop Bath Bombs did exactly that with their out of this world bath bombs. For my recent review I was sent four bath bombs to test out, one was a Pokeball in the scent "Lilly of the valley", a Totoro in the scent "Harvest Spice", a Galaxy in the scent "Dream" and a Anti-Valentine glitter heart in the scent "Love spell". The heart I am saving as part of a spa goodie pack that I will be putting together for a giveaway so the actual review for that item won't be included here, but I can tell you it smells beautiful.





I personally tested out the Galaxy bath bomb, the scent is modeled after the gap fragrance and it smells quite lovely. The bath bomb is made from all vegan cruelty free products including baby oil, coconut oil, shea butter and more so I do have to note that this made make you bath water a little slippery as well as your skin, if you do not like the silky smoothness you can rinse off before getting out of the bath. I like that they do not include corn starch in their bath bombs which can lead to yeast infections if you take multiple baths a week using products containing it.This bath bomb is large enough to fill the entire palm of my hand so it takes a little time to fully dissolve into the tub, I would place this into your bath when it is about a quarter of the way full. During my bath I could feel the oils working their way into my skin and moisturizing it and I can tell it was working because it helped clean some of the dead skin off my body, when I was ready to get out I simply rinsed off the excess oils and went about getting dressed as normal. I was left with silky smooth skin that is both soft and cool to the touch and my skin smells fragrant. My kids tested out the Pokeball and Totoro bath bombs, each one has a small toy inside that goes with the Fandom the bath bomb is modeled after. Both my kids loved their bath bomb and the bath bombs smelled divine, my absolute favorite was the Harvest Spice it reminded me of a freshly baked pumpkin roll. These bath bombs sell for $5 each and ship quickly, they were packed just right to keep them safe during travel. If I could change one thing it would be to have the list of ingredients included on either the bag containing the bath bomb or on a small card along with the bath bomb for gifting purposes. Carlson Quilt Fabrics Giveaway & Review!

I absolutely love my current purse, I have a black batman bag that I take with my everywhere. My fiance bought it for me two years ago for Christmas to replace the beaten down batman bag I had before that. I use this bag day in and day out the only problem is the inside is just one giant pocket which I don't mind but it doesn't like to hold a lot of weight and feels like the strap will snap if I want to carry all of my things. Next weekend we are going on vacation and I wanted to find a bag that will be able to endure all of my normal daily items plus the extras I will be bringing along with us so I began looking around. The company that caught my eye is an etsy shop called Carlson Quilt Fabrics who sells a mixture of fabrics by the 1/2 yard along with purses, bags and pillows! Looking at their shoulder bags they seemed pretty sturdy and quite roomy. Looking at the various bags I really liked both the Nightmare Before Christmas Gray & Black Embroidered - Quilted Shoulder bag and the Disney lilo & Stitch Fabric Quilted Cross Body Messenger Bag, I couldn't decide which I liked best so I asked the shop owner to surprise me and sent which ever would be easiest for them.

I was extremely surprised when I arrived home to find a big fabric shipping bag on my front porch, once I got inside and was able to open it I was very surprised to find not one but both of the bags I really liked from Carlson Quilt Fabrics inside and I really like that they were both inside of their own bag in the bag in case anything were to happen to keep them still dry and safe.

 

I don't think this review will be able to capture how much I truly love these bags, I decided to test out the Jack back first to see how it would hold up to all of my stuff while on vacation and holy cow this bag is ten times better than I could have imagined. This bag is quilted, yes you read that right it is a quilted shoulder bag I've never owned one before and I wish I had. This bag is very sturdy and thick, you won't get a pen poking a hole in the corner of this bag! Not can it stand up to a lot of weight as you can see above with my water bottle, large weekly binder, first aid kit, hand wipes, keys, wallet and more it has eight pockets, two outside and six inside. There are so many details to this bag that it is almost crazy even the inside pockets are lined with black and white polka dot ribbon, the outside is black fabric with Nightmare Before Christmas fabric layered on top plus Nightmare Before Christmas ribbon details and a hand embroidered Jack on both sides of the bag. The straps are long, thick and are comfortable on your shoulders, the whole bag zips up to protect your belongings and the bag has a hard bottom to keep it standing on it's own without falling over. This shoulder bag costs $48 and it is worth every single penny you spend on it. Needless to say this bag will be going with me on vacation and will be my purse for quite some time.



Sometimes when I am out I want to bring a big bag but other times I might want something smaller than the purse I normally carry which is where the Stitch Cross Body Messenger Bag comes into play. It has two zippered pockets and is about half the size of the Nightmare Before Christmas bag but still just as amazing. The inside of the bag is lined with a cute blue floral fabric that really goes with Stitches vibe. The bag itself is pretty thick and the strap is really nice, strong and doesn't dig into your shoulder. This bag is perfect for when I only feel like bringing my camera, wallet, phone and keys without lugging everything else with me. The smaller cross body messenger bags are $38 and again well worth the cost because not only are you paying for something that looks adorable but it is extremely well made and you can tell the creator puts a lot of thought, effort and love into their products that will last you for years to come. From start to finish this shop is fantastic and has been one of my favorite shops to work with I highly suggests you go visit them the next time you are looking for a new bag, quilt, pillow or fabric.

It is officially March and it feels absolutely crazy that it is month three of the new year already, time goes quite quickly when you stay busy but so far this has been a pretty good year. Neptune's Garden Review!

Between my day job,house work, cooking, playing with the kids, and working out some days can be stressful and on the days that are extra stressful I like to let my muscles and body relax in a nice hot bath. Sometimes I enjoy using bath salts, other times I use bubble bath but my absolute favorite thing to use are bath bombs. Why? Because they are fun to use, can help your skin look and feel better plus they usually smell pretty good. I was recently drawn to a Etsy shop called Neptune's Garden who produces handmade bath bombs, bath scrubs and other bath goodies. Madisen the shop owner was kind enough to send me out two beautiful bath bombs for review, one is a Pink Grapefruit and Lilly pink sea salt bath bomb and the other is a Mermaid bath bomb which hasn't been listed on the site yet and I do not have the scent for it but it smells pretty good.





For this review I only reviewed the sea salt bath bomb because the Mermaid bath bomb is being saved for a special spa type gift set I am putting together to giveaway to one of my readers.The Pink grapefruit lilly bathbomb smelled great however I couldn't smell any grapefruit to it, instead it reminded me of rose scented lotion which is still a very pleasant smell. Once placed into the tub the fizz is strong with this bath bomb, you can hear it as it hits the water and starts to dissolve which is a neat sound to hear. Once fully dissolved your bath water will be scented and slightly misty from the ingredients in the bath bomb. I found that it made the bath water scented but the scent wasn't over powering enough to fill the bathroom. I liked that the bath bomb fully dissolved even the pink salt in it fully dissolved into the tub which helped bring moisture and the lovely scent to my skin while I was bathing. I really like that some of Neptune's Gardens bath bombs are painted with skin safe dyes, I also enjoy the packing process, it is simple and to the point without being overly wasting and she also includes a list of ingredients right on the bag which is nice for gifting purposes. This bath bomb did not leave my skin with an oily or greasy feeling which I thought was a big plus, I've tried some in the past that just made my skin feel nasty but this bath bomb wasn't like that.



The bath bombs she sent arrived quickly and were well packaged to protect them in case they were dropped or tossed by the delivery drivers. Size wise I think these are a great size especially for my bath tub size because it doesn't get drowned out by the water. Neptune's Garden sells bath bombs in full sized or cut in half as a half size which is nice for if you are wanting to try different scents without breaking the bank.
