Clean Air Club Review + Promo Code!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Clean Air Club for the review free of charge.**

Although changing out your air filter is important for keeping up your A/C unit and keeping the air in your home cleaner people often forget to buy new filters to replace the old one. I know filters generally aren't on my monthly shopping list because I often forget that it needs to be changed, which living in Arizona isn't good because it is very dusty here. If you are anything like me you will want to check out this innovative website called Clean Air Club. The Clean Air Club is a A/C filter website that allows you to select not only the type of filter you want but you can also set a schedule so a new filter will arrive when the old one needs to be replaced.

The Clean Air Club offers three different types of filters which providing a different amount of clean, they cost $13, $16 and $19. For my review I was sent a MERV 13 filter which is perfect for homes that have a lot of foot traffic, anyone with allergies, homes with more than one pet, for smokers and for areas that tend to get a lot of dust.Above you can see the MERV 13 sitting next to a cheap filter from the store, the MERV 13 has what looks like a thick cotton middle with wire mess surrounding it and the one on the right is very thin and completely see through. Which would you prefer to have in your A/C helping block dust from getting into your unit? Filters should be changed every 30-90 days this will not only help to keep the air in your home clean but it can also help prevent your unit from needing a repair in the future. When I received my filter is was packaged just right to keep the filter from getting damaged during shipment and it was also kept safe from the elements arriving in a plastic bag to help keep it as clean as possible for you.

So how well does the filter work? It recently stormed recently and in Arizona that means a lot of dirt and dust was kicked up into the air and plus taking the old filter out I knocked around a bit of dust that was starting to collect in the vent so the new filter has done an excellent job catching everything so far. This is the filter after a week:

Gross I know! But I would rather see it sitting in my filter than know it is floating around in the air my family is breathing. So when was the last time You replaced your homes filter? The Clean Air Club is allowing me to give all of you a pretty spectacular offer, you can use code 'CLEAR AIR' at checkout to receive your first month of filters free (limit 3 per household). They are currently only US based.

Sugar And Spice Gifts and Treats Giveaway & Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Sugar & Spice Gifts and Treats for the review & giveaway free of charge.**

Fun bath products are always a huge hit in our house, not only do I enjoy them but my kids love them as well so I love being able to find stores that sell fun kid friendly bath products. There is a great Etsy shop called Sugar and Spice Gifts and Treats that sells a wide assortment of bath products that are great for kids and adults alike. I recently received a package that contained the following items to test out for a review; Cherry Cheesecake Galaxy Bath Bomb,Cherry Cheesecake Mama Cat & Kittens Bath Bombs,Blue/Green Bubblegum Geode Bath Bomb,Black Light Bath Salts,Princess Cupcake Pony Bath Bomb,Draco Shower Steamer & Pineapple Bath Bomb Singles. I have not tried the Pineapple bath bombs yet, I am unsure if I want to test them out or add them as part of an upcoming beauty giveaway.

I didn't even get the chance to fully unpack this box before the kids started asking if they could get in the bath to test out some of the bath bombs. I had to pull out the bath bomb and bath salts I wanted to use and go stash them in the bathroom where the kids can't reach! We tested out these products over the last week, my son tried the Blue/Green Bubblegum Geode Bath Bomb & Draco Shower Steamer, and my daughter tried the Cherry Cheesecake Mama Cat & Kittens Bath Bombs along with the Princess Cupcake Pony Bath Bomb.

Blue/Green Bubblegum Geode Bath Bomb; This bath bomb is designed to mimic how a Geode looks and as you can see above it looks pretty close. The lower half is a bath bomb which has a layer of what appears to be an almond oil mixture to hold the bath salts on top on. Pros: It smells good, it looks neat and my son thought it was awesome. Cons: It contained too much coloring, it turned my son and my bathtub blue and the layer holding the bath salts on didn't break up well in the tub it left floating pieces behind. This retails for $5.10 and comes in seven different colors/scents.

Draco Shower Steamer; This is a nice treat for when you are in the shower, you simply need to place it under the falling water and it will start to dissolve leaving behind a lovely scent of Dragonsblood. Pros: It smells lovely and has a great design on the top, I smashed a little portion of it between my fingers and the formula used creates a pretty soft and lovely feeling products. Cons: None. Retails for $5.10

Cherry Cheesecake Mama Cat & Kittens Bath Bombs; My daughter was so excited to use this because the design is adorable as can be, it comes with one larger Mama cat and two smaller kittens to toss into your bath tub. It smells great and dissolved well in the bathtub. This retails for $3.40 for the Mama cat.

Princess Cupcake Pony Bath Bomb; This bath bomb comes with a small pony toy inside, which what kind doesn't like getting new toys and trinkets? My daughter was pretty happy to get a pony out of the bath bomb and she enjoyed how it smelled and how it made her skin feel.

Black Light Bath Salts; This is a really neat idea and it is visually appealing to the eye. I tested out a small amount of this on my hands first to see how my skin reacted. It did make my hands feel refreshed and soft however I find the salts a little difficult to get out of the container and the smell is a bit overwhelming for me but I have a friend whom I know will love the scent so it will get put to good use. Retails for $7.66

Cherry Cheesecake Galaxy Bath Bomb; This is the bath bomb I saved for me! It smells amazing and I enjoy the size of the bath bomb because it made the whole bathroom smell great and it left my skin feeling soft and didn't leave my skin feeling dried out or slimy like some bath bombs can if you add too much oil.

DirtyBird Energy Giveaway & Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by DirtyBird for the review & giveaway free of charge.**

I usually review a lot of bath and skin care products that are geared towards women, but it isn't too often I post reviews for men or neutral products so I am hoping to change that soon starting with this post. I recently learned about a company called DirtyBird a creator of energy soaps and the name of the company along with how their product packaging drew me in. They sell three different soaps that come in a reusable container.

For my review I received all three soaps to test out for a review. The original bar of DirtyBird is a caffeine and peppermint infused soap bar designed to help give you an energetic burst to start your day off right. This is the bar I think smells the best out of the three, it kind of reminds me of spearmint bubble gum. Relax is a aromatherapy blend of Lavender & Chamomile with Ylang Ylang, although it is made with lavender and chamomile but it smells like black licorice to me. Last but not least is Recover which is designed to be used after working out, a long days work, etc  it not only helps get rid of dirt and dead skin but it also zeroes in on bumps, bruises and inflammation for a speedier recovery with Arnica, Eucalyptus and Rosemary extracts. It will also open your sinus passages because it smells like vicks rub. The formula they use makes it to where it is almost a cross between a bar of soap and a bar of lotion, the leather is thick, creamy and it really moisturizes your skin.

Pros:
  •  The soaps all smell pretty good, at first the scent is little over powering but after you leave the lid off for a bit the smell isn't quite as strong which makes it more enjoyable.
  • The bars are a great size that are easy to hold onto and the bars have a great lather to them.
  • Leaves your skin feeling lovely and leaves you in a good mood after a great bath.
  • Each bar retails for $5.99, between the size of the bar and the container this is a great price.
Cons:
  •  The reusable containers are hard to get open and I would assume even harder with wet hands so if you plan on keeping them in the container I'd leave the lid off.

PRIZE ALERT:
One lucky reader is going to win two of each soap bar from DirtyBird.

This is open to US residents ONLY!!! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

Grand Box!

**This is not a paid post nor is it a sponsored post, this is being posted in exchange for a chance to receive one of the boxes mentioned below but that does not mean I will get it.**

My grandmother has gone through a lot over the last few months, she badly broke her leg in early May and ended up with a plate, a bar and several screws in her leg. Afterwards she was sent to a rehab facility to help the leg heal and learn to walk on it again, she was released at the end of July but that wasn't the end of her story. One of the screws that was p...laced into her leg has started to come out and is on the verge of coming completely out of her leg so she has to get her leg re-opened and repaired in two weeks. Needless to say it has been an emotional and busy months for all of us. When I saw the chance to do a review with Grand Box I knew I had to take the opportunity especially with Grandparents day coming up.

Mommy's Time Out Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Mommy's Time Out for the review free of charge.**

A few of my family members enjoy drinking wine when we all get together to have dinner and play games, so when I was offered a chance to try out Mommy's Time Out I knew I had to say yes and bring it over to my mom's house for a family dinner night. First I want to note that I think the name of the brand is pretty fun and the bottles are pretty cute they include a note on how hard working moms deserve a much needed break (don't worry dads they also have a wine called Dad's Day Off).

I am not usually one to drink alcohol, I am pretty picky when it comes to it and most alcohol out there just doesn't taste good to me. Seeing as how this was for a review I did test it out and I have to say it actually isn't that bad compared to most wines out there . I didn't get a nasty shock of bitterness it was actually quite a bit lighter than other wines I have sampled at events, it did taste a bit dry and had a small bit of fruity taste to it. A few family members tried it as well and here are their thoughts:

Step-Dad: He liked the wine and agreed that it was more of a dry wine with a solid grape flavor, but didn't quite like the after taste.

Sister-in-law: She did like the wine and thought it has a floral taste to it.

My Fiance: He actually did like the wine which is surprising because he doesn't like any wine. He said it reminded him of a light beer and that he would drink it again.

Overall it seemed to be well liked, along with the Prosecco white wine I received they also sell several other wines all of which are showing less than $10 per bottle on the websites it is sold through. Sadly it doesn't seem like any stores near me sell this specific wine they only have the Pinot Grigio and the Mommy's Time Out website could use some tweaks because they do not list prices nor does it have a list of stores where the wine is available, along with that there is no way to order it through their website.

MuchPak Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by MunchPak for the review free of charge.**

One of my favorite things about snack subscription boxes is that you get the chance to try snacks from all over the world. MunchPak is one of the subscription boxes that helps widen your snack palette by sending you different snacks in each month's box. I was recently sent one of these boxes to try out for a review and the products I received can be seen below (I received the classic box):

The box included twelve different snacks that ranged from salty to sweet. Something I would enjoy seeing in this box is a card with information on what each snack is, several of the snacks are from over seas so they are in their native language and it is hard to tell what they are and what is in them or a way to find out easily what they are. I like the selection of different textured snacks they included in the box I received and I like that they came from different parts of the world. There are enough snacks in this one box for 2-3 people if you are willing to share that is, otherwise one person could eat this over the course of a few days to a week depending on how often you like to snack.

MunchPak has a section where you can customize your box they have fifteen different options to choose from which include Nuts,Salty, Sweet, Candy, Chips, etc to narrow down your likes a little bit. I've tried a few snack boxes in the past but I am happy to say every single product in this box was a new snack to me, I haven't tried or heard of almost all of these snacks. I have not tried all of these yet but what I have tried I have highly enjoyed, I think my favorite were the two wafer treats with hazelnut/chocolate spread and the chocolate filled crepe. This was also the first snack subscription box that I've tried that came with a drink! They offer three different sized boxes a 5+ snacks, 10+ snacks and a 20+ snacks, the shipping was quick and everything was packed well nothing came crushed or smashed which is a big bonus. None of the snacks I've tried in this pack so far have been odd tasting or bad, everything has been fairly neutral and tasty which is good because I am not a big fan of spicy or overly sour treats.
