Starbucks & Ulta Gift Card Giveaway!

Hey Everyone! I have a fun new giveaway for you that includes two of my favorite things, makeup and coffee. 💜 But before we get to the giveaway I have a few things I wanted to share. I recently celebrated my birthday on the 6th, I had a lovely birthday weekend. I spent Saturday running around doing birthday things with a good friend of mine who is also a May baby, and I stopped by a local rescue to drop off a big box of canned cat food plus I managed to find a abuse shelter close to me to donate some clothing I've been piling up to donate so that made me pretty happy. Sunday was spent with my family, relaxing and playing some board games (Catan & X-men!) . While we are speaking of birthdays I will have a post up soon highlighting several places that offer birthday freebies and I'll let you know how to get them as well!

In other news I recently recorded my first unboxing video which I was super nervous about but I don't think it came out that bad so I am excited to get it up (coming soon!). Plus I have many other giveaways on their way including the giveaway I try to hold monthly where I giveaway a book and beauty goodies, this month since it is my birthday there will be an extra book plus some other goodies not normally included in this giveaway. I am trying to figure out a new name for the giveaway as I had just been calling it my monthly book and beauty giveaway but it isn't that catchy, I was thinking possibly The Beauty & The Book Giveaway or The Beautiful Bookworm, but I can't make up my mind.

To all the mama's out there I wish you all a early Happy Mother's Day, although at times it may not feel like due to tantrum weeks, not being able to catch a break, etc you are all amazing strong and beautiful women and I hope you have a great Mother's Day weekend.

I absolutely love the holiday season, the weather is nice and chilly so it is the perfect time to drink a Hot coco or eat a bowl of soup without feeling like you are going to over heat. All the neighbors start to decorate their homes with Christmas lights as do the stores and shopping malls. Plus there is lots of shopping to be done, and fun family activities to attend. Some of my best memories are of my grandmother taking me and my cousins around to look at Christmas lights and baking Christmas cookies.

Treat Yourself Giveaway!

Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end, the weather is cooling down little bit by little bit and the fall/winter months are almost here which means the holiday season isn't far behind. During the holidays I am guilty of putting everyone else ahead of me, heck I usually do that year round. I've even had my mother gift me a gift card for Christmas and tell me " I want you to buy clothing for You, not your fiance or the kids, just You!" and I know others are guilty of doing the same thing. It is wonderful doing things for other people and buying things for the people we love, but everyone should take some time for themselves too even if it is just getting a Starbucks coffee and relaxing for an hour by yourself.

So before we head into the holiday season and start picking out Halloween costumes, making Thanksgiving plans and shopping for Christmas presents I want to host a "Treat yourself" contest.
