Skoy Cloth Review & Giveaway!

It is always nice to find a brand that is multifunctional and eco-friendly, which is why I was excited to checked out Skoy when I heard about how great their products are. The original Skoy sponge cloth was founded in 2007 by two forward-thinkin women Michelle Lundqvist and Karen Petersen who wanted to create products that were better than what was out in the market. Now thirteen years later Skoy cloths are still being sold along with several other fantastic products added to their line.

Let's talk about the original Skoy cloth first, it seems like a fitting product to start off with. The Skoy sponge cloth is a fantastic product that will help you replace the need for paper towels. These cloths feel like paper towels, but they are quite a bit thicker. I wanted to test out its durability, as you know when a normal paper towel gets wet it can easily be pulled apart so I tested it out with this and I am happy to report it was flexible but it didn't rip or tear at all.

I also tested to see how well these worked when it came to washing the dirty mirror in my kids bathroom, they worked perfectly, no streaks or smears left behind. After washing the mirror I added a little soap and water and cleaned off the counter, it again took care of the mess without any issues. I like that these can easily be washed, they are made to out last 15 rolls of paper towels. Plus they are 100% biodegradable and compostable so they won't stick around for longer than they are needed. You can pick up a four pack of these for $7.99 they come in four different , I will be keeping mine along side my kitchen towels so I always have one near by when I need it for cleaning up a mess.

Next up is the Skoy Scrub which is a scouring pad, instead of being round and a little bit of a pain to hold onto like other scouring pads these are flat and look like small cloths. They are made from cotton and a non-toxic hardener which makes them perfect for scrubbing pots, pans and the counter, however they are also flexible enough you can use them to clean silverware as well. Instead of tossing it out when it gets a bit dirty they can be cleaned in the top rack of the dishwasher.

I found this easy to store and the cute patterns make it to where you won't need to hide these under the sink when you aren't using them. I think these will be pretty handy cleaning the bathroom as well! You can purchase a two pack for $6.99 and these come in a variety of colors as well.

They also create and sell the Skoy Towel, a 100% recycled polyester cloth that is 18x24 and very absorbent. This towel feels quite soft and it really does absorb a lot of water, I dried off a few dishes with the towel and you could hardly tell I used it at all. It dried quickly afterwards because when I went to go dry my hands off with it while I was cooking it was already dry. I like having a small towel in front of me when doing the dishes so that my shirt doesn't get wet and this is the perfect towel for that. You can pick one up for $12.99, both sides of the towel are printed. Mine is white on one side and gray on the other if you prefer they also come in red, green and blue.

Scrigit Scraper Giveaway & Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Scrigit Scraper for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

Being the mom of the house I do 90% of the cleaning which means I am always scrubbing and cleaning up messes the kids have made, sometimes those messes don't want to come out from in-between the counter tiles with just a rag so I have to use something else. I don't like using my nails because they break easily and using a butter knife removes some of the grout, I was recently introduced to a wonderful product called Scrigit Scraper which is now my go to product when I have a stubborn piece of food or paint in the corner of the base board, in the tub or on the counter.  What is a Scrigit Scraper? Here is a little information on it from their website "The pocket-sized Scrigit Scraper is a versatile cleaning tool that provides a quick, safe and convenient alternative to fingernails and other types of scrapers as a way to remove small amounts of common substances from from flat and curved household surfaces, such as dishes, kitchen and bathroom counter tops and floors."

This product is wonderful for scraping sticky bar codes from the bottom of glass cups and the left over wax in candles plus a number of other wonderful uses while cleaning, or crafting. I love re-using my candle holders once the candle is gone, I use them to hold change, hair ties, makeup brushes and more. Getting the candle wax out is always a pain, I normally use a butter knife but it doesn't always do that great of a job and it doesn't do a good job getting the bar-code sticker off the bottom so I decided to use a Scrigit Scraper to see how well it worked vs. other house-hold  scraper tools. As you can see from the photos above the scraper has two sides one is a flat edge scraper and the other is a rounded edge scraper (which is my personal favorite side to use), and it is pretty long so it reaches all the way down into the candle holder without a problem. The rounded edge scraper made removing the wax from the candle easy peasy as you can see from the photos below, it was also a big help with removing the bottom tag. After removing all of the wax and the bottom sticker I was only left with a little bit of the residue from the sticker which was easily washed off with a little warm water and soap, now I have a perfectly clean and brand new holder for all of my eye liners. The Scrigit Scraper can be used for an unlimited amount of things, I have also used this to clean the edges around my tub, on the counter in the kitchen, getting stickers off the tile floor, and more! They are very handy to have around the house and can be purchased either as a set of two or in a package of five, you can purchase them directly from Amazon. They offer $1 off every 2 2-packs of Scrigit Scrapers purchased on Amazon the code can be found on their product page. This product is sturdy and seems like it is going to last for quite some time to come, I look forward to seeing everything I can get done with these scrapers while saving my nails from damage.

Prize Alert:
One Lucky winner is going to win a pack of Scrigit Scraper tools and a $10 Amazon gift card.

This giveaway is open to US residents only! Thank you.

Boxed Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Boxed for the review free of charge.****

Do you love shopping in bulk but prefer not to pay for a yearly membership to a local wholesale retailer? I have the perfect solution for you! Boxed.com offers low priced bulk products including grocery items and beauty items. Up until a week ago I didn't know Boxed.com existed and now I am sorry I didn't know about it I love their website and most of all I love their prices. I was lucky enough to receive a chance to participate in a review and host a contest (will be posted soon) for Boxed.com taking a look at the products below how much would you guess the total was? $140 maybe $120 discounted? If you guess anything over one hundred dollars you would have been wrong for all six of the bulk products below it only came out to $88 with free two day shipping.

There are a number of products available ranging from Laundry soap, to dog food, tooth paste and even beef jerky. It was hard to decide what to get for my review there were so many wonderful products to choose from so I narrowed them down to our favorites. Looking up prices at a similar retailer and the price comes out to over $100 I can see where the better price and better place to shop is and that is Boxed who offers a Free membership and cheap prices. Did you know an average trip to a local warehouseclub takes over 180 minutes? Boxed gives you back 179 of them. I felt more comfortable and happy shopping from home instead of going to a big warehouse full of people to look for what I am in need of. I placed my order on Monday September 8th and received it on Wednesday September 10th, Now keep in mind I live closer to where these products were shipped from so your order can take slightly longer. One of the big things I noticed and thought was sweet was that a note was included with my package wishing me luck with potty training my son I ordered a Huggies Pullups Combo pack which 1.) I didn't know existed before working with this company and 2.) was an unbeatable price. Along with their already amazing prices they also have a "stuff on sale" section where you can find a large handful of products with sales prices. Customer service was fast, friendly and professional.

How would you like to win a gift card to Boxed? Leave a comment letting me know something you like about their company.
