Honeydew Sleep Pillow Review + Giveaway!

 

How you sleep can make such a huge impact on how you feel the next day, lack of sleep can make you tired, cranky and sometimes angry/sad and sleeping in a wrong position can leave you feeling sore. It is important to find a pillow that is just right for you! I am generally a side sleeper, or I sleep half on my side/half on my stomach, I had three different pillows I spelt with in various spots like one pulled in close to my chest to lean on while sleeping on my side. 

Even with the three pillows I had, I was still having an issue with my left shoulder hurting when I woke up in the mornings and I joked with my husband that I needed a fourth pillow. Well, as luck would have it I got my wish and was gifted the Scrumptious side sleeper pillow from Honeydew Sleep Company. I wasn't sure how much it would help, but I was still excited to get the new pillow. I actually went to the chiropractor not that long ago as my shoulder issue had been going on and off for about three weeks, they said it was mostly soft tissue stiffness.

When my side sleeper pillow arrived, I couldn't wait to get it open! The little pamphlet they include is adorable, it is from the pillows point of view where it introduces itself and gives you a few care instructions before use as you need to let it inflate after it was vacuum packed into the box, and it is has any odor (most pillows do, this one was very very mild) you can wait it out or pop it into the dryer. I went with the dyer option and my pillow was ready in no time. The pillow case does have a zipper on it, however it is small and I haven't noticed it at all while I am sleeping.

I like the waffle type pattern on the outside of the pillow and love how the pillow is quite squishy yet firm at the same time. I was also gifted a pillow case to go with it which fit onto it without any issues and it is made from 100% bamboo so it is soft and light weight. The unique shape of this pillow allows you to sleep comfortably on your side as it tucks up under your chin and kind of caresses you. If you like sleeping with your arm up under your pillow this helps relief some of the pressure put onto your arm/shoulder area. 

Holy cow! When I woke up the next morning after my first night using this I noticed a huge difference in my shoulder feeling better, now that I've slept on this pillow for the last week and a half my shoulder no longer hurts in the mornings when I wake up or any time during the day. This pillow is so comfortable to sleep on, my neck, shoulder and body feel supported when using this and I have no issue with it flattening out in the night. The pillow case is breathable, soft and feels nice on your skin.

It is no lie to say that I absolutely love this pillow. This pillow is so comfortable that even my husband loves it and pretty much tries to steal it from me nightly. I am very impressed with this pillow! I am down to sleeping with just two pillows now which is nice and opens some space up on the bed. I would eventually love to try out their body pillow too! They also have other pillow options depending on your personal preference.

I am always looking for new art, decor, and picture frames for my house and one of the things I love is photo canvas prints, I own a few of the regular printed canvas prints that are put onto a wooden frame but I was recently introduced to a new type of canvas print. CanvasPop is now selling frames prints, each print comes in a wooden frame with a plexiglass piece in-front of the print to keep it protected.





I like that the frame has plexiglass insert instead of regular glass because if it falls or if something strikes it the insert won't shatter. I recently received one of these framed prints for a review and I am quite impressed with it, and the process that goes into ordering a print. Placing an order is quick, easy and stress free the most stressful part will be selecting the photo you would like in the frame. Shortly after you place your order (1-3 days) you will receive an email with a proof of your frame and will be asked to approve that image for printing, from there it will take 1-7 days to receive your frame in the mail depending on where you live.

The frame is perfect and the picture turned out beautifully, You can see from the third image above that you can see all the details in the photo even in the plants displayed in the background. The frame is thick and sturdy yet looks elegant, and even though it is pretty large the frame is light weight. The framed print comes with a wire secured to the back which makes it easy to hang.

My son is eleven months old and loves bath time, but doesn't necessarily like getting his hair washed. He is at the stage where he tries to grab at the cup for rinsing his hair any time I try to fill it up and becomes angry if he doesn't grab it, I wanted to try and find an easier way to wash him. Rubber Duckie and Friends gave me the perfect solution a frog shaped children's showerhead. I was recently sent a Froggie the Frog Showerhead for review and absolutely love it. The package contained A Frog-character bath & shower wand, wall mount with rubber suction cups, six-foot hose, & a two-way water-flow diverter. My package arrived in a timely manner, it was well packaged and their customer service representative was very friendly.




The shower head was easy to install it took less than five minutes for my fiance to set up the showerhead in the kids bathroom. You have the option of connecting the animal shaped shower head directly to the shower arm or you can add the two way converter so you are still able to use your regular shower head. This show head uses a gentle 1.5 gpm spray that is soft enough to bathe infants and toddlers, the six-foot hose is completely movable and can be used anywhere in the tub or shower. This shower head works wonders my kids both love it and I love it too! This shower head not only helps me bathe my infant easily but it will make cleaning the shower easier, having the six foot hose will make it a breeze for cleaning off the shower walls and cleaning my sons high chair when it gets filthy so I get double the use from this. Rubber Duckie and Friends sells children friendly shower heads in the shapes of A Duck, A Frog, Dolphin, Hippo and Rhino along with a adult shower head line. The childrens line of shower heads retails for $24.99 and can be purchased by visiting their website. If you have a small child or have someone with a baby shower coming up I think one of these shower heads would make a very thoughtful gift.

There are two important factors I look for when purchasing a Christmas gift the first is that it suits the likes and personality of the person I am getting it for and second is that the item isn't something you could run to the corner store and get. A big theme among my family and friends are gamer items but it can be hard to find high quality items that are in a fair price range. I recently came upon a etsy shop called 8bitmetal who is known for their amazing Zelda bottle openers, as soon as I set my eyes upon the bottle opener I knew exactly who to give it to. I was lucky enough to received a chance to work with 8bitmetal on a review & giveaway of their Zelda bottle opener.

The bottle opener arrived quite fast and I was happily surprised to find the bottle opener was on the heavy side which is wonderful for being able to open those tricky bottles from time to time. The design is spectacular and holds up well which is great because my SO and his group of friends is known for breaking things while intoxicated. The bottle opener itself can be used as a display case if desired it is beautifully handcrafted and would make a wonderful conversation starter piece for any Zelda or video game lover. The bottle opener is safe to handle there are no sharp edges or point you can easily cut yourself on. Each Zelda bottle opener sells for $20 plus shipping and handling, I think this is a more than fair price for a one of a kind handmade piece. This bottle opener comes in four different shades/color; Copper, Bronzed, Blues & Red, then finally the Metal. I received the Bronzed which is pictured above, You can see where the bottle opener lip is but looking at it straight on you wouldn't be able to tell this was a bottle opener which leads to my statement of being able to use it as a display piece.Want to purchase one for yourself or for another Zelda lover?
