Mini Horizon Group USA Reivew!

I recently received some goodies from Horizon Group USA to do a review on. Two of the items on the box are just fun small gifts you can pick up for your kiddos, so I wanted to combine them together in a short and sweet review post. First up is from the line "Just My Style" & it is called Soooooooo Many Stickers.

It comes with an assortment of 1500+ stickers! You can pick it up on Amazon for $6.85 which is a pretty good deal for how many stickers it comes with. My daughter & I like the assortment of characters, letters and more that is included in the pages of this sticker book. It would be the perfect gift for a sticker lover in your life!

Next up is a jar of their Blossom berry scented Slimygloop which is a glitter slime.

This slime actually has a lovely scent to it, I like the mix between a floral and fruity scent. The slime itself is cute, it is a clear/white color that kind of reminds me of snow. Inside of the slime is glitter, sprinkles and flower charms. Both of my kids have a fun time playing with this slime. I can't find this exact slime on Amazon, but they have some other varieties that range in price. Horizon Group USA sells products on Amazon, however you can also find their products in stores such as Walmart, Micheals craft store & more so you might be able to find this exact slimygloop in a store near you. Horizon Group USA has several different product lines for various ages & most kits are under $20 which is fantastic.

What kind of stickers would you hope to get in a sticker book like this? Is there a specific scent you would want in a slime?

The Young Scientist Club - Top Secret Spy Science Review

Craft kits & hands on activities have always been a big hit in our house which is why we love the Horizon Group USA brand & all of the lines they offer. They have a wide variety of kits for boys & girls of all ages to enjoy, some adults may even enjoy the kits as well to learn a new craft. We recently received a top secret spy science kit from their Young Scientist Club line to check out for a review & It was packed full of fun spy themed activities to complete.

This kit includes ten different secret missions to complete in order to figure out the answer to the mystery you are presented with at the start of the kit. Missions include code breaking, analyzing fingerprints, making a print of a key onto clay, using vinegar to test chemical levels & more. All of which are easy for kids to complete on their own depending on their age. This kit is so much cooler than some of the spy kits I remember wanting as a kid. This kit can be purchased on amazon for $24.99, you can also find their products at stores such as Walmart, Target & Michaels.

My son had a lot of fun completing this kit, there were only one or two times when he asked questions just to verify his findings such as when he did the PH test with the vinegar as one or two of the results looked very similar to two of the numbers not just one. They included plenty of extra strips for testing just in case you needed them & even if you don't need them for this craft it would be fun to test out other fluids in the kitchen such as orange juice to see what their levels are as well.

At the end of your spy adventure you get to break open a treasure chest to find some gem stones you are able to keep & collect. This along with all of their other kits make fabulous gifts or anytime kits to spend some one on one time with your kids. If you want to find reviews on some of their other kits feel free to type in "Horizon Group USA" into the search bar of my blog and it will bring up all of the reviews.

Pop & Color with Horizon Group USA!

Did you know Horizon Group USA not only sells craft kits, but they also sell other products such as fun sketchbooks for kids? We recently received a Just My Style pop & color activity sketchbook that is sure to keep your child entertained whether at home or on the go.

The "Pop" portion of the sketchbook is a pop-it fidget toy that is secured to the inside cover of the sketchbook, it is easy to get off & you can keep the cover + piece of tape so you can put it back for storage. Inside you'll find twenty pages of various activities from writing & drawing prompts to simply coloring the page in. As a bonus there is a glitter pen attached to the front and over 100 stickers for your child to use in their book or on other notebooks they may have. You can purchase this on Amazon for $12.99 & some stores such as Walmart, Target, Michaels, etc carry their products as well.

I think this is a great set for long road trips or activities such as waiting in a doctors office where you want to keep your child entertained. Pair this with a pack of colored pencils or pens & let their imagination run free. This is geared towards ages 6-9 however there is no real age limit on enjoying coloring, plus those fidget toys can be fun to play with if you are someone who likes popping bubble wrap. I like the variety of coloring & activity pages included, each one is different from the last. Aside from maybe adding a few more pages to this sketchbook, there isn't anything about it I would change.

Disclaimer-  Horizon Group USA provided me with the products mentioned above for the review + giveaway free of charge no other compensation was provided. However, no product compensation will influence the outcome of any review. My honest opinions are used in all reviews, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. Donut Worry these bracelets will help put a smile on your face!

School is starting to come to a close for this school year which means it will be time to start looking for activities to keep your kids busy during the summer. Horizon Group USA has a ton of different activities and crafts for kids of all ages to help them stay entertained. This year I am part of the Horizon Group USA reviewer group again which means I will get to share some of their great products with you through out the year. Today I want to share their "Donut Worries" with you, they are a fun 2-in-1 gift that is a jewelry kit & a keychain.

They currently have two different sets each one has enough string & beads to create up to three bracelets with. One of the sets has letter beads that will spell out "Shine Bright", and the other set which isn't shown here spells out "Always Kind".

Along with the latter beads you'll also find an assortment of eye catching beads. The Donut kit we received came with smiley faces, stars and more plus the string you'll need to make your bracelet. After your bracelets are complete you can use the donut as a storage container for them or you can choose to hold something else in it.

We thought this was a cute kit, it will keep your child entertained while they make their bracelets and have a cute keychain to hold onto. The container has a pretty tight lid so I don't see it falling off which means it will be fine to clip onto a backpack or purse. You can find some of their collections where ever Horizon Group USA products are sold, however I found a great price on these on Amazon. They have them listed for $7.99 each or if you buy both at once amazon currently has a duo pack for $8.00 which is a steal of a price.

Which of the two sets do you think you'd prefer the "Shine Bright" or "Always Kind" ?

Create cute bead art with the smART Pixelator by Flycatcher Toys.

I was recently asked if I'd be interested in reviewing a neat toy with my kids called the smART Pixelator by Flycatcher Toys & I was pretty excited about it as it reminds me of a toy I used to play with when I was younger (just not as cool). The Pixelator is a fun toy that uses small plastic beads to create art pieces like keychains and more.

After you complete the image, you'd like to create, you need to use a iron to semi melt the beads which will help them fuse together. I did something similar when I was a kid with my grandma, I remember making all kinds of designs and having her help me use the iron to complete them. What sets this pixelator apart is that it has a digital light board highlighting the designs you select or create and guide you on your way step by step.

The memory card that comes with it comes pre-loaded with several different designs that are ready for you to create, the images include the cute little gameboy looking robot below. If you want more images than just what is on the memory card, you can search through other designs on their app or use the app to create your own pixelated image from a photo you take. You can use the app directly from your phone. If you are working on an intricate design that will take some time to complete, you can come back at a later time and pick up where you left off.

Each set of beads comes with a bead applicator which can help place the beads onto the peg boards to create your designs, however my kids seem to like just using their hands to complete the images they slected. You'll also be provided with a ironing paper to go between your design and the iron, I do wish it came with a few more though.

We haven't made our own creation using the photo method yet, but my son has had fun coming up with some of his own designs using the beads. It has been wonderful to see both of my kids using this and having fun with the outcome of their work. We have a steam iron, it does an alright job but I feel like a normal iron would work better so maybe keep that in mind when shopping for a iron to use with this kit. The base set comes with a limited number of plastic beads, however they have a great into bundle that comes with a free gift which is two sets of 2000 beads so you are set to create quite a few great designs before needing to purchase more. The set is normally $79.97 however they are having a sale at the moment and you can purchase the bundle for $29.99!

SLIMYSAND Aqua Splash Review & Giveaway!

We always have a great time opening the promotional boxes we receive from Horizon Group USA which they send out each quarter. They create and sell a wide range of craft items along with an assortment of other toy type products. Today I will be sharing their Slimysand Aqua Splash, which is a stretchable, moldable sand that can be played with in or out of the water. We've actually reviewed a similar sand by them in the past and loved it so we knew we would love this one as well.

The sand comes packaged in a cute little sand castle mold with an easy to open lid and handle to make it easier to carry around. The sand looks like it would be kind of hard when it first comes out of the container, but once you start pulling it apart it is actually quite soft and fun to pull apart because you get to see it turn into an almost cotton candy like consistency. I will put a reel up on my IG soon showing what it looks like when you pull it apart.

I personally think this is a great product for kids or adults because it is calming to play with as you pull it apart, reform it and shape it into what ever you want. I would recommend using this on a solid surface as it can get stuck in carpets and also leaves a slight residue behind on paper, we prefer to play with this either in the kitchen on the title floor, or we use an older baking tray that we designated as the play sand/playdoh tray.

As part of my partnership as a Giveaway Guru for Horizon Group USA, I am provided with a second set of what ever we review so I can giveaway one to a reader as well. Their products can be purchased on Amazon or big box retailers like Walmart + Target.

Prize Alert:  One winner is going to win their own container of pink aqua sand.

This is open to U.S Residents ! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

This giveaway ends on 1/29/2022

HGUSA Bedtime Ritual Set for kids Review + Giveaway!

Normally when I post a new review or giveaway with Horizon Group USA, It is a feature for one of their craft sets, but did you know they sell other products as well? Today I am going to be sharing a product from their "Just My Style" line. My daughter received the Bedtime Ritual set to test out, plus we received an extra one to giveaway as part of their Giveaway Guru program I am part of.

This set includes the following products:

💜 Cute Pink Face Mask
💜 Silky Smooth Scrunchie
💜 Body Cream
💜 Paper Origami Strips + Instructions
💜 Snoozin Pillow Mist
💜 Skin Salve

Everything in the kit came in calming pastel colors that will help you unwind at the end of the night. The pillow mist is in a lavender scent which is meant to be a relaxing scent used to calm your mind and help you fall asleep easier, I actually used to use a lavender scented baby wash on her when she was little that helped. Unfortunately, we didn't quite like the scent of the spray in this set so I don't see us using that particular item.

Both the body cream and salve had a good consistency and texture to it that helps leave your skin feeling refreshed and smooth. Investing into keeping your skin looking its best and preventing it from becoming too dry is always worth while, so this is a great way to get your children into the habit early on. The jars were easy for my daughter to open and they are small enough they can be stored on her bedside table without taking up a ton of room.

The sleep mask fits comfortably without pulling any hair or being too tight around the head, it is soft and will help keep extra light out giving you a better nights sleep. We also both thought the hair scrunchie was cute, the silk fabric is better for your hair than sleeping with a normal headband in because it helps prevent your hair from breaking or damage from being in a tight bundle for too long. It will also slide off easier when you are ready to remove your bun vs having a chance of your chair being caught around the hair tie. My daughter was already a fan of origami and has made quite a few different shapes and animals, but she hasn't tried to make these little 3D stars before so it was exciting for her to have a new design to learn.

Overall for the $16.99 this kit sells for on Amazon (You can also find their sets at big box retailers) it is pretty decent especially as a gift for a birthday or holiday.

Prize Alert:  One winner is going to win their own bedtime ritual set.

This is open to U.S Residents ! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Tie-dying with Horizon Group USA! + A Giveaway

Summer might be coming to an end and the kids are headed back from school, but that doesn't mean that we are done doing fun summer crafts together! In my summer Giveaway Guru box from Horizon Group USA they sent me one of their large Tie-dye kit from their Just My Style line. It can be purchased from Amazon for $12.99 or it can be picked up at stores such as Walmart and Target.

This colorful set comes with eight different colors, several sets of gloves, rubber bands and instructions. My kids made tie-dye shirts for themselves during the holiday season last year, so this time around we decided on creating some cute shirts for my niece and nephews.

Following the suggestions and instructions included in the box I went out and picked up some white cotton shirts, a cotton onesie and socks to use. The kids were excited to help me make these surprise gifts and we got to work after getting home from the store. We have a box of gloves here at home already so we used the gloves we have and saved the gloves in this set to use for another time.

The bottles arrive with colored powder in them so you'll need to add warm water to the bottles and use them within 45 minutes of mixing them up. The process was easy and went by quickly, we didn't have any issues with the lids not closing all the way or any leakage. The tie-dye can stain certain surfaces so you may want to do this project outside, we used our kitchen sink since it is stainless steel.

The colors looked quite bright and vibrant on the clothing so we we couldn't wait to see how they turned out. It says to leave them be until they are dry to the touch, you can leave them in a zip-block or plastic bag to dry. Once they were dry we finished following the instructions for finishing the process which includes putting them through a short wash/dry.

I didn't add any laundry soap to the washer, I just popped the clothing in on a delicate load in the washer and put them on delicate in the dryer as well. When we pulled everything out it wasn't nearly as bright as we thought they would be and the color came completely out of the socks. They still look great, just not as bright as we had hoped so I am not sure if the dye just didn't take or if we did something wrong in the steps. I think the girls shirt/onesie looks better with the blue and purples than the green and blue combo. Either way we had a great time with the kid and have some cute clothing from our activity.

Prize Alert:  One winner is going to win their own tie-dye kit!

This is open to U.S Residents ! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Rock painting with Horizon Group USA + Giveaway!

I am very excited to say that I will be working with Horizon Group USA again this year to review some of their new craft products, and since I am a "Giveaway Guru" they also send me a second set of each item I review so I can give one away to one of you. I will get to work with them four times through out the year, this first time around I have two great products to share with you but I will break them down into two separate review/giveaway posts.

The first product I will be sharing is a create your own rock art kit, which can be purchased on amazon for $10 and some Walmarts may carry it as well. It comes with everything you'll need to start your rock painting journey. Inside of the box you'll find 20 rocks, the packaging says they are large rocks but as you can see they range in size. It also comes with twelve different paint colors, four glitter glues, cute transfers and two type of paint brushes.

All of the rocks are cleaned before being added to your package so you won't have to worry about them being clean before painting. The different shapes and sizes can help you come up with ideas of how you'd like to paint each one using either examples from the box or ideas you've come up with on your own.

My kids have been having fun painting different themes on their rocks, as you can see above there is a rainbow on a cloudy day, a lava monster and a watermelon slice. When you are done painting them you can keep them for display, add them to your garden, gift them or add them to different areas of your local park for people to find and make them smile. The paint dries quickly and it seems like it will be durable so your stones will last for some time after painting them, I also like that the paint didn't have a strong scent to it.

Prize Alert: One lucky winner is going to win their own rock painting kit!

This is open to US Residents! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

Giveaway entry question: Leave a comment telling me a design you or your child might end up painting on one of these rocks!

Horizon Group USA Review.

We recently received a surprise in the mail and it ended up giving us a good laugh because my daughter had been asking for one the week before it arrived. I received a package from Horizon Group USA that contained two products, one of them was a plasma globe. A few days before this had arrived I was actually looking one at a store I stopped at, but didn't end up buying it because the box felt way too light to have a full plasma ball in it, and then this showed up on my porch.

The size of this is perfect for a bed side table or a computer desk, there is nothing to put together because it comes in one piece and it has bonus glow in the dark stickers to decorate the base of the globes. This is so neat to watch turn on, it usually takes it a second or two but then it is bursting with light.

This plasma globe looks neat in the light but it is even better turning off the lights! You can use just one finger to trace the globe and watch the light chase your finger, or you can use all of your fingers and pretend like you are Thor himself.

This is plugged into the wall so you don't need to worry about batteries which is always nice. Both of of my children have a lot of fun watching this and playing with it. A plasma globe would make a fun gift for any boy or girl in your life!

The second item included in the package was a Mixy Squish lap desk. This kit comes with ten different colors of air dry clay, fourteen sculpting tools and a lap desk that has various molds for you to use.

This was a blast for my kids to use as well, however I did notice that if you didn't use all of one color that it dried up faster than expected even being inside of a sealed baggie. My kids made a lot of cute things with this set though included a purple set of dice that they made by hand.

The clay is easy to use, you can use it with the molds or you can free hand a creation of your choosing. Once your master piece dries it is fairly sturdy, I think it would be really cute to use this clay to create an assortment of fridge magnets. Each of the clays have speckles of glitter sprinkled within the clay to add a little extra flare to your artwork.

The lap desk doubles as a storage container for the clay and all of your sculpting tools, plus the lid also has several different textured areas to give your clay the same look. While both products are entertaining, I think in the long run we will get the most use out of the plasma globe.

Which of the two products is most interesting to you? What would you want to create with your air dry clay?

Slimygloop Slimy Sand Review + Giveaway!

With how long many of us have been stuck inside with our kids, it can be difficult to keep them entertained the entire time which is where Horizon Group USA comes in handy. They crate a number of fun products to help keep you and your children busy and active. I recently joined their Influencer program and I am now a Giveaway Guru which means that when ever I review one of their products I get to give one to a lucky giveaway winner as well.

I was recently sent two containers of Slimygloop Slimy Sand in blue and pink. At first when I saw "Slimygloop" in the brands name, I was a bit hesitant because I know how messy slime can be so I had the kids play with this in the kitchen over the tile so if they did make a mess, it would be easier to clean up. I was happy to find that it isn't sticky like regular slime, instead it feels like soft squishy sand.

This sand is so soft! Even I sat down to play with the sand for a while, it is a lot of fun and it can be stretched, squished, and molded. When you stretch it out, it reminds me a lot of cotton candy in look and close to it in texture as well. One of my favorite things to do with it was stretching it out, folding it onto itself, and repeating the process because it made it turn into a fluffy blob of sand that was neat to squish.

Cleaning up after we were done playing was easy, I do want to note that if you ended up leaving any little bits behind or don't put the lid on properly the Slimy sand will dry out. I know you are thinking, "It is sand, so isn't it already dry?". This item has more of a putty than a sand so when the bit of moisture it has vanishes it will become a very fine sand that will easily track all over. Aside from it being fun to play with, one of my favorite things about it is that it is only $7.99 for a tub of 1.5lbs which is available over on amazon.

Now for the best part, Who wants to win a tub of blue sand plus a tub of pink sand? Fill out the rafflecopter form below to enter to win.

PRIZE ALERT:
One lucky winner is going to receive 2 tubs of sand.
This is open to US Residents only! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

This giveaway ends on 07/03/2020

Giveaway entry question: Leave me a comment letting me know another color you'd like to see this sand.
