TownleyGirl Palette Giveaway!

I remember one of my favorite holiday gifts I received from my mom when I was about twelve was one of those small makeup boxes with some makeup products in it. I was so excited, the makeup at the time was a good starter set but the box had a lot of storage and I actually still have it today and keep a lot of my loose shadows and products in it that I don't use on a regular basis. I recently received some products from TownelyGirl in exchange for writing some site reviews for them, and I wanted to giveaway a few of the items here.

TownleyGirl has some new makeup palettes that they have started selling at Walmart (You might have seen them in the holiday section already) and they are pretty fun. Each one features a different cute cover and have a mixture of eye shadows and blush plus a glitter makeup brush.

One of the nice things about these palettes is that they are only $5 each! They would make a great gift or stocking stuffer depending on the size of the stockings you have. I like giving back during the holidays so I want to spread the love, I am going to be giving away all four palettes shown above! There will be two winners who will each receive two palettes to use as holiday gifts this Christmas.

I typically run my giveaways for a two week period, however I am going to shorten it a little so that hopefully when I ship these out they will reach you before Christmas.

PRIZE ALERT:
Two lucky winners are going to receive two eye shadow palettes, the images above shows the two palettes that are being given away with each other.

This is open to US Residents only! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Shiny Sky rainBOWS Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Shiny Sky RainBOWS for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

Normally when I go to work I put my hair up in a pony tail, it helps keep my hair out of my face while I am working and I don't have to worry about straightening it every morning/night (My hair is naturally a giant frizz ball) but it can get a little boring wearing just a regular pony tail everyday so I like to spice it up by wearing hair clips, headbands, etc. I like bows that show things I like, colors, themes, etc and my daughter is the same way with bows so when I saw the fun and bright bows based off of various Disney characters and other inspirations that Shiny Sky RainBOWS sells I knew my daughter would fall in love with them immediately. Shop owner May was kind enough to agree to a review and giveaway here on my blog.

Every piece in her shop is handmade by her and some take longer than others, for example her Disney Tangled Rapunzel inspired headband is hand sewn and takes eight hours to create one crown. That is a lot of time and dedication put into each piece and it really shows in the quality of work. For my review I received a Ariel inspired mermaid hair bow. The bow is large and thick but it is light weight and has a large alligator clip (You get to select if you want a clip or headband when checking out). The Mermaid bow features green glittery scale fabric, a star fish, and a cute pink little flower that looks like a sea plant. I like the type of alligator clip the shop owner used because the part that goes into your hair comes down into a paint with a little round tip that makes it easier to maneuver into your hair and it doesn't pull any hairs as it is being put in or being pulled out. My daughter is quite happy with this bow, she likes how big it is because she says she feels like a Disney princess or a cartoon character. When the light reflects off of the Mermaid scales the whole bow shines and gives it an appearance as if she just walked out of the ocean and her bow is still wet and sparkling in the sun. The retail of this bow is $11.99 and makes a great addition to your Disneyland/world attire for your next park trip. With my review bow I was also sent two products to use to host a giveaway, those two products are a Disney Dole Whip inspired hair bow and a Lollipop hair band both of which are quite charming and make me feel like I am back at Disneyland which is one of my favorite places to be.

The Dole Pineapple is on a alligator clip and it is light weight with a felt backing and shiny glitter on the front, and the lollipop is twisted/rolled fabric that looks like like one of the giant lollipops kids like to get and it is on a white silk headband. The retail value of the Dole clip is $10.99 and the Lollipop headband is $11.75. Not only does Shiny Sky RainBOWS sell bows but she also sells Mouse ear headbands and Jessie the cowgirl inspired small hats. All three items were packed with care to keep them from getting crushed during shipping and the shop owner made sure to check in to make sure the package arrived on time. May is quite sweet, she responds quickly and she sells products that are high quality and worth purchasing, they are better quality than a large portion of store bought bows I've had in the past.

Prize Alert:
One lucky winner is going to win the Disney Dole Whip inspired hair bow and a Lollipop hair band.

This is open World Wide! Please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

TownleyGirl Giveaway & Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by TownleyGirl for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

As my daughter is getting older she is getting more interested in painting her nails, making her own headbands and lip balms. I don't want to get her regular nail polish because most have harsh chemical smells and aren't the easiest to get off so I am very thankful for a company called Townley Girl who makes kid friendly beauty products.

I love that Townley Girl provides beauty products in a number of fun Disney, Dreamworks and Emoji themes.I was recently sent a handful of products to test out and share with all of my readers. The image above shows all of the products I received in my fun review box.

Pictured above is a Tsum Tsum Ready, Set, Go! Cosmetic Set which currently isn't listed on their website. It includes a small coin purse, a lip balm key chain, lip balm jar, a lip gloss tube, a bottle of nail polish and a thing of hand sanitizer all featuring the fun and lovable Tusm Tusm characters. I am not sure why this set isn't currently listed on their website the only thing I can think of is perhaps there is printing error on the sanitizer because it says "Strawberry flavored" instead of scented so that is the only thing I can think of because otherwise this is a great set. The only product I didn't like was the pink lip balm jar because the consistency was too thick, but the cute jar can always be re-purposed. All the products in this set have nice scents. I give this set a 4 out of 5 stars due to the pink balm and I was also a little surprised the lip gloss key ring didn't come with one of the cute little Tusm Tusm characters attached at the top like their other lip gloss set they sell.

Frozen 18 pc nail polish set (Retail $14.99) - Their nail polishes don't have overly strong scents, and even if your daughter makes a mess while painting her nails this polish not only easy wipes off when wet but after it dries it peels off. The shades go along with the movie nicely and the bottles are easy to hold, I give this set 5 out of 5 stars.

Emoji Hair Brush (Retail $4.99)- This brush I did not personally test out because I own one of their other brushes that is made just like this so this specific brush I gave to a friend of mine.I like their brushes because the brush itself is sturdy and so are the bristles. The bristles are spaced far enough apart this brush helps detangle your hair without getting stuck or pulling your hair out. This brush gets a 5 out of 5 stars, it is a great brush with a fun printed design.

Trolls 6 Pack Headband Set (Retail $6.99) -These headbands can be worn in a number of different ways, you can wear each headband without a clip or you can attach a clip to the headband or you can wear just the hair clips. It comes with six headbands and six clips, I think they did a pretty good job with providing an assortment of band prints and clip styles. This set gets a 5 out of 5 stars.

Trolls Super Shine Lip Jellies (Retail $6.99) - This lip jellies set comes with five translucent lip balms in the flavors cotton candy, grape, bubble gum, lemon, and watermelon although I tested the watermelon one you can't really taste the flavoring. The balms are moisturizing and the formula isn't sticky and it isn't thick so it glides on smoothly and leaves your lips with a nice shimmer. This set gets a 4 out of 5 because the balms aren't flavored (but then again I wouldn't recommend licking or eating any kind of lip balm/lip gloss/lip stick anyways).

PRIZE ALERT:
Two lucky winners are each going to receive a Trolls Super Shine Lip Jellies Set.

Glossique Nail Wraps Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by the Glossique for the review free of charge.****

I enjoy having my nails look nice but I have to admit aside from painting a base and adding maybe a top layer and a few nail decals I am not good at nail art so when I want something extra cute or fancy I turn to nail wraps to rescue me. Some nail wraps are a huge pain in the butt because you have to heat them up, but that isn't the case with these nail wraps by Glossique. These nail wraps do not require heat in order to apply and there is an easy process to apply them. Each sheet comes with nineteen wraps, which is enough for applying two sets to your nails because when you cut them in half each side of the sheet is enough for one set. To apply themyou'll need to first push your cuticles back, I generally like to trim mine but you don't have to do that. Next you'll need to wipe them with acetone (nail polish remover pads will do) because less oil will help the wrap stick better, however if you are like me and don't like the smell of nail polish remover this step isn't 100% necessary, I skipped this step and mine stuck quite nicely.

After pushing your cuticle back and wiping your nails off you will need to select the size wrap you need for each finger, You may trim the sides to make it more narrow if needed (I found I didn't need to cut anything off aside from the tip due to the wrap being longer than my finger nails). It is better to have the nail deco narrow on your nail vs. being too wide. It is ok for your natural nail to slightly show on the sides. It says you shouldn't touch the underside of the wrap too much because you don't want the oils from your skin to get onto the wrap so gently removing the wrap and placing it onto your nail is the best, then simply smooth it out over your nail and cut off any extra sticking off your nail. I found these wraps easy to apply, and if you run into any issue with smoothly them out it is easy to do you will need to gently lift the wrap back up and re-smooth it back down to help smooth any ridges out. I received a set of candy cane wraps and a snowflake/snowstorm set and I love them both! The Candy cane set I used as an accent nail set during the holidays and I am currently using the snowstorm set, I think it looks like blue flames because of how bright and pretty the wraps are.  The sticky side looks like snake scales and is pretty sticky to help keep it on your nails and the wraps are pretty durable and water proof. To remove simply grab the wrap by the corner and peel it off then wipe your nails off with a nail polish remover pad to remove any extra stickiness left behind. Each set cost $14.95 and they sell a large assortment of designs, if you are looking for something specific they separate everything into different categories on their website to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for.

Paficica Beauty Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by
Pacifica Beauty for the review free of charge.****

Pacifica beauty is becoming my favorite beauty brand more and more every time I test out the products they send me because the products are high quality, have wonderful color pigmentation and the packaging is some of the best I've seen. I was recently sent a trio of their new polishes to test out, right from the moment I opened the package I knew these colors were going to look lovely when applied to my nails.

As you can see it originally arrived as a trio however tragedy struck and while I was taking photos of the bottles one of them fell and broke upon hitting the floor. I was so sad because it was one of the three bottles I was most looking forward to using but there is no use crying over spilled milk. The two remaining polishes were Wonderland and London Tomboy as seen above. Each of the polishes shown here are available on the Pacifica beauty website for $9 along with a number of other eye catching shades and high quality makeup. Pacifica Beauty is 100% Vegan and Cruelty free!

In the bottle London Tomboy looks like a deep green with hints of blue but when applied to the nails reminds me of a forest green, it is quite dark but reminds me of the holidays. The Winter wonderland looks like an off white but when you look at in on the brush seems to have glitter in it, when applied to my nails and looked at closely I did not notice any glitter. The Wonderland to me in person seemed to give off a light pink hue it wasn't quite white but also not quite beige. London Tomboy is a perfect match for a bold gold and it looks good with or without a clear top coat. In the photos of my nails shown above I have on a single layer of London Tomboy which spread on smoothly and evenly without any issue and two coats of the Wonderland because the first coat looked slightly sheer and I wanted it to be more solid. I've been wearing this polish for five days now and it actually hasn't chipped too much it has only chipped around the very tips of my nails which I personally think is pretty good.

Jamberry Nail Wrap Set #2 Giveaway!

I meant to get this giveaway up and posted yesterday but my day ended up being much busier than I anticipated, but a giveaway being posted a day late never hurt anyone so let's get to it.

I have a second set of Jamberry nail wraps to giveaway! This set includes a full sheet of Webs & Monsters ($15 value) the website says it is a juniors wrap but depending on the size of your nails you will still be able to use these without any issues. (There are wraps that would fit all my nails in this set so almost everyone should be fine). It also includes two sets of sample wraps which can be used for accent nails.

These monsters are cute enough to wear anytime, not just at Halloween. Look at how cute the little fuzzy yellow monster is.

Jamberry Nail Decal Set #1 Giveaway!

Every Holiday it is fun to do some themed nails to celebrate the occasion, Pintrest holds a few hundred fun options for nail designs for every holiday there is. My only problem is I am not talented what so ever when it comes to nail art so I rely on nail decals/wraps and stickers. Such as this great spider web design (not jamberry brand):

One company that sells a large assortment of nail wraps is Jamberry and I know there are nail decal lovers everywhere who go nuts over their products. So I figured why not giveaway a set of nail wraps?

One lucky winner is going to receive a full set of Dem Bones ($15) and two sets of sample wraps which you can use for accent nails. Time has slipped away from me a bit this month so I know you won't be able to use the bones set in time for this Halloween but you could always save them or say heck to it and have a spider web manicure anyways!

This is open World Wide, please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning. Winners have 72 hours to respond to the notification email!

TownleyGirl Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided TownleyGirl by for the review & giveaway free of charge.***

My daughter is like many other little girls out there and she loves to paint her nails and when I search for polish for her I want something that is child friendly and still durable enough for her to use. I recently found a great company that makes kid friendly nail polish that fits all of my wants in a kids nail polish. We were both excited to receive the chance to work with a company called Townleygirl who creates and sells an assortment of Disney and DreamWorks Licensed products for girls. We received five products to review, you can see each of them below along with information on that product.

Disney Tusm Tusm Nail Polish Set - No link available yet this product is being added to their site soon.

Out of the products we received this is my favorite because I love Disney Tusm Tusms and I've never seen beauty products featuring the Tusm characters. This set came with twelve polishes of various shades, two toe separators and a nail file. The toe separators work well and fit both little girl toes and adult toes, the nail file is almost too adorable to use but thankfully the scratchy file side is on the under side of the cute characters. The polish do not have a harsh scent and the formula they used works pretty well, it goes on smoothly and pretty even. Our favorite part of the polish is that the colors are true to how they look in the bottles without having to add more than one layer. This set gets 5/5 stars from us. Note; The three Tusm Tusm figures shown are not included, they are from my son's collection. This set is not only great for kids but it can also be used by adults.

Frozen My Beauty Spa Kit; Retail Value $14.99

This spa set has everything included for creating a wonderful pedicure and the presentation is lovely however this set only receives a 3 out of 5 stars from us. The biggest issue we had with this spa set was the sandals included, the package does not say what size the sandals are and on their website it looks like you can only select a "Medium" kit but it still lacks the information on the sandal sizing. The sandals were too small for both my seven year old daughter and my three year old son, even holding them in my hands I could tell they were small. The sandals also had foam dust as shown in the photo above and they had a slight chemical smell. Aside from the sandals the rest of the set is great, all of the polishes are thick but go on smoothly and they all smell like bubble gum but not in a overwhelming way. The toe separators, nail file and nail buff block not only look great but they work well and get the job done, note; the buff block does not have a smooth side to smooth out and shine the nail is just has rough nail file type sides. Polish colors may vary, the polish colors I received are not what is shown on their website.

Finding Dory 4 Pack Nail Polish and Sticker Set; Retail Value $6.99

I haven't seen the movie yet but seeing the adorable otter nail stickers in this set really makes it to where I can't wait until it comes out on DVD. This set comes with four polishes, 40+ nail stickers and a carrying case. This set gets a 4 out of 5 stars, while the nail stickers are highly desirable due to their cute designs the stickers themselves are too thick to properly stay on the nails for more than a few hours because they are easily ripped off. If the stickers weren't as puffy I think they would work and look a lot better when applied. The polish does not have a scent, formula wise the polishes are a thick clear substance with glitter we found they do better as a glitter topper with another polish as a base coat. Both the carrying case and the polish have little plastic 'bubbles' that are filled with glitter and feature at least on character form the movie, when you shake them the glitter moves around.

Trolls 4 Pack Lip Stick With Mirror; Retail Value $8.99

This little set is adorable and gets a 5/5 stars from the two of us. The set comes with a heart shaped mirror and four heart shaped lip sticks. The lipstick is more just a lip balm then a lipstick, yes it is tinted various shades but it won't turn your little girls lips green or blue instead it will just add a little shimmer. The lip stick applies smoothly and evenly, each stick is scented/flavored differently the one I tried out was the grape and it smells pleasant. The package says the lip sticks are flavored but I could not taste anything at all which is good in my opinion because even regular lip balms can have a nasty wax taste so I am glad this product geared towards children does not have that. The protective film that was on the mirror was a slight pain to get off otherwise the mirror is made well, looks good and is big enough you can see your whole face in it. I can't wait to see this movie when it comes out!

Avengers 8 Pack Lip Balm; Retail Value $8.99

This is a fun set that I enjoy and is another product that gets 5/5 stars from my daughter and I. I like that each character has it's own color and flavor because it makes putting on lip balm more exciting than making it seem like a chore. The lip balms are a little glittery in the tube but it won't make your lips look like a disco ball. The lip balm applies smoothly and sits evenly without leaving your lips with a waxy or oily feeling. This set is a great way to help keep your kids lips moisturized through out the year, and they would make a great stocking stuffer during the holidays.

Prize Alert: Two lucky winners are each going to receive a Trolls 4 Pack Lip Stick With Mirror like shown in the images above.
