My vision is important for me to keep up on having two small children, I want to always have up to date check ups to keep my vision the best it can be. Having two kids means a lot of running around,goofing around & a lot of day to day activities which lead to my glasses being knocked off. I also admit that I have fallen asleep with them on which doesn't help they need to be replaced, instead of glasses I have been thinking about getting contacts. Phoenix Comi-Con

It has always been a goal of mine to attend a Comi-Con, but let me tell you I wasn't as prepared as I should have been. First always remember to head to big events early it always helps you beat the traffic & beat the crowd plus it is always nice to get a head start on the day. The Phoenix Comi-con was beyond packed two escalators stopped working due to the sheer mass of people, the only thing I don't like about big events is people tend to push & shove when they are wanting to get somewhere.



After getting our passes & heading into the main hall things cleared out a bit and there were dozens of shops/booths to check out. There were both from big sellers and from local artists along with all the booths for the visiting TV starts,Comic book writers & more some were freely out & about for everyone to chat with and others had set times for signing autographs & for photo ops all scheduled times were posted at their assigned booths which made it easy to plan your day the info was also available on their website. Next year I will have to remember to bring more cash than I had on hand, Photo OPS cost anywhere from $20-$80 depending on who you are taking a photo with & autographs are $30 each. Needless to say I didn't get any photos or autographs instead I explored the store booths we found quite a few goodies that my husband & I liked. If you are looking for a certain character I would suggest going to day one or day two otherwise the more popular character items such as paintings,sketches,ect sell out fast. There were tons of creative & exciting costumes everything from Flash Gordon to Batman & The Joker. I plan to attend again next year,having better knowledge of how everything works I will be much more prepared for next years event and I will be dressing up as well. While we were there we bought an awesome painting of Night Crawler which I will share with you in a separate post.

                          

I found there was a nice mixture of guests who were attending this years Phoenix Comi-Con, some of the guests included Laurie Holden,Chandler Riggs,& Micheal Rooker from The Walking Dead, Sam Witwer from Being Human to Dean Cain who has played Superman & hosted Ripley's believe it or not. I look forward to seeing who attends next year & next year I have set a goal of trying to attend both the Phoenix Comi-con & the San Diego Comi-con.

Nuby Baby Spoon Reivew!

My son is growing up faster than I could have imagined, He is only five months old but he has never been in that "Newborn/Infant" stage. The first week of his life he was a sweet innocent infant then about a week after we arrived home everything changed he wanted to be independent. He has been growing fast both with height & weight he is also ahead of the game when it comes to getting around all over the living room,lifting himself up,standing & more which he has been doing since he was about three months old.

One of the things he Loves to do is eat, He loves trying new foods & will try to steal any food that you yourself are trying to eat. I am excited to share my experience with Feeding Spoons by Nuby. You might be thinking, "What's the big deal? All baby spoons are the same" that is where you would be wrong my friend. When my daughter was a baby I always hated her baby spoons they were too short & I disliked that the spoon itself was plastic covered but the handle was metal. The Feeding spoons are perfect they are long & all plastic, Each package comes in an assortment of colors. I am an odd ball but sometimes I like pairing the color of the spoon to the food that my son will be eating for that meal.

I am very excited to share this next review with all of you mommies out there who have children that are teething or will be teething soon. I was recently sent a Flip Flop Teether book by Nuby for a product review,This product is perfect for infants 0+ Months in age.

Sisters Gourmet Review & Giveaway

I can't personally think of anyone I know who doesn't like sweets in some way or another so I was very happy to get to try out two cookie batches by a company called Sisters Gourmet. I was recently sent two cookie mixes from their Crisp & Colorful mixes line which were the Traditional Chocolate chip & the Hopscotch cookie. The way the mixes came packaged looked great I enjoy the fact they come in a glass mason jar because it can be resused after you use the cookie/baking mix. They finish the look of the mixes by putting decorating wrapping on the top with a bow & the instructions which are easy to follow. My daughter loved being able to help in the process of making these cookies it took about two minutes to mix everything properly & get them onto the pan. The cookies were very moist & delicious it is amazing the difference fresh ingredients make vs Ready made or ready mixed cookie dough. I think that these mixes would make great presents for any occasion,there are quite a few flavors to choose from & they also offer Cake & Brownie mixes. Nuby Brites pacifier review

 I have a ten week old son who is quite picky about his pacifier, It has been a challenge to find the "right" one which means a lot of pacifier Testing. The company Nuby makes & sells a number of pacifiers,being part of the Nuby Mommy Bloggers team I was recently sent a set of their "Brites Pacifier and Pacifinder"

I admit this doesn't replace his favorite pacifier but he does enjoy the shape & texture of this pacifier. I enjoy the fact that the pacifier is slightly curved fitting my sons mouth/cheek area better than most pacifiers would preventing him from getting milk caught there or leaving a red mark. The Brites come in an assortment of Bight colors & fun designs they also come with an included pacifinder which allows you to attach the pacifier to a stroller,a car seat or your child so if they drop the pacifier it won't end up on the ground. Out of the pacifier brands I have tried with my son I would rate this in the top five & would suggest this for parents who are having or have recently had a baby.

Nuby Funshine Mirror Toy Review

I am excited to be able to start buying my son toys he is now fully aware of his surroundings & stays awake longer during the day. Being a Nuby Mommy Blogger means I am able to review their wonderful toys & baby products with my son. My son is currently nine weeks old & being more active everyday so I have been looking around for age appropriate toys. I was recently sent a toy called the Funshine Mirror Toy which is perfect for ages 0+.

My son loves this toy,it helps keep him calm and happy while on long car rides. When you press the nose the two small lights on the cheeks start to flash while "You are My Sunshine plays,I like that the lights aren't bright enough to hurt his eyes. The bright colors of the sun shaped toy keeps his attention even when the sound & lights are off,the Mirror on the back makes the toy triple the fun. Once my son starts teething he will be able to chew on the "rays" on the sun if he chooses & I won't have to worry about one popping off because this is a very sturdy toy. The sun comes with a ribbon attached to a hook making it easy to hook onto the stroller,or car seat. The Funshine Mirror Toy can be purchased at Babies R US,Khols or Diapers.com. This is a toy I would highly suggest for anyone who has a infant looking for a reliable & stimulating toy,I wish I had this when my daughter was younger.
