Tesalate sand free towels are perfect for the beach or poolside!

 

Temperatures are rising which means it is water season! Whether you are hitting the pool, beach, or river/lake a good towel is important to bring with. A towel brand called Tesalate has recently been popping up all over the place & I was given a chance to try out one of their towels for myself to see what all the hype is about. Tesalate towels are not only absorbent but they are designed to be sand free so you won't be bringing back half of the beach into your car & home. 

There are a lot of nice designs to choose from so it took a moment to narrow down which design to select, I ended up going with Ripple because I like how it is a wave design done in tie-dye. Their regular sized beach towels are 63 x 31 inches, & if that isn't big enough they sell a XL beach towel meant for two that measures 63 x 63 inches. Regular towels are $59 each, and XL are $99, they often have sales so keep an eye out for those. They have a two sided design, the underside has a black & white design so it is like two towels in one. Tesalate also offers workout towels which are a smaller version of their regular towel great for the gym. 

Each towel comes with a free carrying bag & has a small handle attached to the towel itself so you can hang it up anywhere you'd like. Sometimes before I get into the pool I like to sit by the side & soak up a little sun and this towel is really nice to sit on. It helps protect my skin from the heat of the pavement and any dirt, rocks or other assorted things that might be on the sidewalk around the pool that I wouldn't want directly touching my skin. You can fold it in half to put next to the pool for a little extra cushion or lay it out completely flat so that someone can sit next to you.

I have not had the chance to test it out in sand yet, but it has done a great job staying clean. It absorbs well, I've used it to dry off after getting out of the pool and it dries quickly as well which is a plus. Washing it is simple, it just needs to be added to your normal washing routine, they do recommend taking it out to dry as it dries quickly anyways, but I haven't had any issue with it in the drier. I like the soft materials the towel is made out of & how light weight it is, you can either roll it up or fold it up small to fit into it's carrying bag or your beach bag which makes it great for travel. I look forward to using this towel more & it has definitely become a staple in our beach/swim bag.

LED pool games - Starlux Games Review!

This review is a bit past due, there were a few things that happened recently that kept our attention and we haven't really played with parts of this a ton so it slipped my mind a bit. Summers in Arizona can get pretty hot so we generally spend a ton of our free time in the pool during all hours of the day, including nighttime hours. The kids are always wanting new things to play with in the pool so when I found out that a company called Starlux Games makes a kit of glow in the dark games for the pool I was intrigued.

The set I received comes with two lotus flowers, four dive diamonds, six border lights, and six glow bracelets along with a card set of instructions for ten different games. All of the lights included are battery operated so there were extra batteries included.

My kids had a great time playing with the different things in this kit, however they only lasted about a week and a half. We followed the instructions included with the kit such as not turning off the lights until they are completely dry so that water doesn't get in, but water still got in and several lights got rusty on the inside.

The bracelets have the battery part and on/off switch on the inside of the rubber bracelet so they are lasting and the kids love wearing them at night once it gets dark. The kit has proved to be quite a bit of fun and you could even use these outside of the pool or just for lighting during a part which is nice. The kid can be bought on their website for $49 with free shipping, I do feel the price is a bit high due to the chance of rusty lights but given that you get ten games out of this it helps even it out a little. The box it came in is handy to keep to use as a storage box or you can keep these in a storage container.

Talenti Gelato Review

It's time to share a fun review with all of you today.My family loves when we get to do reviews together instead of just one or two of us at a time so when I was invited to review Talenti Gelato I couldn't refuse.

I was sent a coupon in the mail for a free Pint from any local retailer which carries Talenti Gelato,Luckily enough the Target store I work at carried their product so I got it one night before heading home.,It was hard to decide which to get my family but I ended up picking the Belgian Milk Chocolate.This was the first time my family had tried Gelato we normally get regular ice cream so After that nights dinner we pulled out the Talenti Gelato to test out,The first thing I noticed was how soft the Gelato was it was very easy to scoop out.The Gelato had a very rich & creamy in flavor it only took a small bowl to fill us all up,We each were able to have two small bowls from the One Pint so for us 1 pint = 6 bowls. Looking on the back where the Nutrition facts are I realized this product is Gluten free,All natural,Vegetarian,Hormone free,& Contains soy which made me start wondering exactly how much healthier it was than ice cream so I did a little research & found out gelato has significantly less butterfat than ice cream's typical 18 and 26 percent it also has a has a much higher density than ice cream because they do not pump air into it like most ice cream makers.Needless to say my family & myself LOVE Talenti Gelato & will start buying Gelato instead of ice cream.

Byrons BBQ Review

What would summer be without BBQ's,Smoked meat,Splashing in the pool,Concerts & Time with your family? I recently had the chance to work with a company called Byrons BBQ I was sent a 4lb tray of Hickory smoked pulled apart Pork.

Above you can see a photo of how my sandwich turned out,The meat took about an hour to cook we stirred it a few times to keep the meat from burning & too keep the center from staying frozen.During the cooking process we also added a few spices of our own because my Fiance loves adding extra spices.The whole house smelled pretty good while the meat was cooking,Once the meat was done everyone was hungry & ready to eat we had our BBQ pork on Potatoes burger rolls the combination was super yummy.

If you want something more than just a sandwich Byrons BBQ offers many Recipes on their website for you to check out & use.Some of the recipes include BBQ Nachos,BBQ Pork Enchiladas & More. The 4lb tray is enough to feed 8 people or enough to make about 10 thick sandwiches.My family & Friends who were over to enjoy this meal with us thought the meat tasted fantastic,there was no fat,all the pieces were shredded small & the meat was moist/falls apart in your mouth.****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. Summer is slowly winding down,school is starting soon & the weather will start to get cooler over the next two to three months so that means everyone is planning lots of last minute summer fun.My Family & I included,What is a better way to end the summer than with a Big BBQ with lots of friends & family?Some of you may remember the review I did on the American Plastic Toys Home style Kitchen,I had a wonderful time receiving the chance from CSN to work with them,Recently I have a wonderful opportunity to work with them for an end of summer review.For my review I received a 18 Piece Tool Set with Knives in Plastic Case.It arrived perfectly on time,Everything was packaged nicely the set might have been tossed around in shipping because part of the set were popped out of their spaces but everything made it here in one piece.My DH loves this set we have only been able to use the steak knives so far but plan on using this set a lot because we love to BBQ & have our friends over.Everything is made with Stainless steel & very all the tools are a nice size the spatula is huge it is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be.I was very happy to see that it came with Corn on the Cob 'holders' because it makes eating corn on the cob less of a mess than eating it with your hands only.I like the case that everything comes in it is a nice size to hold everything but still slide under your grill or into a closet.The case has slide closures which I find are easy to open & close even with something in one of your hands.The best part of all is CSN has a ton of really nice BBQ & Grill sets heck even Grills on sale for amazing prices starting at just $25 but that isn't all they offer CSN has OVER 200 stores! that carry toys,clothing,accessories,house goods,yard goods & More there is something for everyone.**This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used.
