Trying out Dr. Elsey's Litter with Chewy.com

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Chewy.com for the review free of charge.**

If you are a pet owner then you know that pets stink and with indoor cats it is even harder because they aren't able to go outside to relieve themselves so they use a litter box. Unless you are cleaning up after them as soon as they use the litter box then sometimes the house might smell a little funky, however finding the right litter can make a huge difference.

Aleister has been having a great time reviewing new products from Chewy.com and recently tried out the Dr. Elsey's Clean Tracks Multi-cat strength kitty litter ($10.99 for 20lbs). Aleister is an only fur-baby, but he stinks up the bathroom as if there were two cats living in the house so we thought we'd test out this litter.

Even before testing out the litter itself I noticed something about the product I didn't like, the packaging! This 20lb's of litter comes in a rectangular shaped box that has no handles or straps to make it easy to transport or lift up to pour into the litter box, thankfully I am able bodied but if someone such as my grandmother were to test out this product I know she would have a difficult time. The litter itself isn't too bad, the pieces are bigger than some of the litters I've tried which makes it to where there is little tracked around the house. Smell wise it seemed to do alright, the box says to scoop twice daily and dump the whole litter pan once a month. I didn't fully agree with the dump the whole thing once a month, the litter more or less stuck in clumps at the bottom anytime he urinated so when you tried to scoop it would just break up and the smell built up after about a week, so if I were to use this on a permanent basis I'd dump it once a week. Aleister didn't seem to have any issues with the litter, however I don't think we will be using this specific litter again.

Chewy.com - Frisco Cat Litter

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Chewy.com for the review free of charge.**

I know most of you have seen or heard commercials for Chewy.com but have you actually tried out their services? I personally love Chewy and no not just because I get the chance to work with them but because they have such a large selection of pet products, and offer more brands than my local pet stores. Their website makes it easy to spoil my family members pets and it will be easy for you to spoil your pets as well with their great prices.

This big fur ball has a bit of a stomach issue which can be a bit stinky so we've been looking for a good litter that helps mask the smell and doesn't leave a bunch of litter trailed all over. If you are on the search as well Chewy.com has 157 listing of different litters so you are bound to find the one that is right for you. I recently received the Frisco Lightweight Floral Fresh Scent Multi-Cat Clumping Cat Litter to try out with Aleister. A 10lb jug retails for $7.49.

I generally like lightweight litters because they seem easier to scoop and don't clump as hard as some of the large chunk litters. Frisco is lightweight and helped prevent a decent amount of litter box smell, however I didn't like how much dust it seemed to put off when being poured into the pan even from a short height. It also tracked quite a bit because it seemed to cling to his fur. I think this litter would be best for short haired cats. With the size of our litter box we managed to get two full uses plus a few topper pours when scooping out the box from this container size, for the price that is pretty good. Even though this litter didn't work completely work out for us it may suit your cat better.

Chewy.com Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Chewy.com for the review free of charge.****

Considering that we get a box from Chewy almost monthly to review with our pooch you would think he would be used to having to take pictures by now! He is slowly coming around to having to snap a few shots before getting his treat but you can see from the look on his face below that he isn't all too happy about it. In our latest box from Chewy we receive Purina Beyond Cutlets Chicken Dog Treats & a Nutro Kitchen Classics Loaf Variety Pack wet dog food for Dogs.

Nutro Kitchen Classics Dog Food: This comes with two different flavored dog foods, they are grass fed lamb with brown rice & slow cooked chicken with rice and oatmeal. The price isn't too bad good on this set, you get six 12.5 oz cans for just $10.79 making the cans $1.80 each. The dogs looked like they enjoyed the food, they didn't leave any behind and they didn't seem overly picky about eating it. Looks wise it looks similar to other dog food brands and smelled about the same as well.

Purina Beyond Cutlets Chicken Dog Treats: I don't usually like starting reviews off with the negative of the product first but yuck! These treats stink.  I know they are meant for dogs and that they shouldn't appeal to our senses but not all dog products smell that bad but this wasn't one of them. On a more positive note each treat was pretty large and thick vs being thin and easily broken into two. The dogs loved these and couldn't get enough of them! You can see how he is giving me the stink eye in the photo above, he just wants the treat instead of taking photos. This sells for $9.49 on their website.

Luv & Emma's Dry Pets Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Luv & Emma for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

Ferrets can be pretty messy and our male Starlord seems to be a dirt magnet so we give them baths every few days, since they are pretty small and their fur can hold a lot of water we like to make sure they are completely dry when they get out of the tub. When you are trying to wrangle to ferrets into towels it can be a little bit of a pain without any help but the new towel we received from Luv & Emma's helps make things a bit easier because their pet towels have a hole in them so you can hang it on a door knob to make reaching them easier. I have a closet right next to where the bath tub is so it is nice to have this towel hanging right where I can reach it and still keep an eye on the ferrets.

This pet towel comes in two sizes, the Luv & Emma's Dry Pets which is 21"x17" and the Luv & Emma's Dry Pets Plus which is 36"x26". The larger size has a door handle hole on each side so that you can double it up and not have the towel dragging on the floor. The handle hole makes this easy to use in the bathroom or to keep next to your backdoor so you can dry your pets off as they are coming into the house. They use an absorbent microfiber fabric to create their towels and it really does help dry the ferrets off faster than the regular bath towel we were using before and the ferrets seem more comfortable in this towel, it is the perfect size to wrap them up into a little bundle to dry them off with. The towel is machine washable which will make it easy to clean and dry for reusing again. The original cost $12.95 + Shipping and the plus is $15.95 + shipping. This product is great for dogs, ferrets, etc.

Prize Alert:
One lucky reader is going to win their own Luv & Emma's Dry Pets 21"x17" towel.

Chewy.com Reivew!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Chewy.com for the review free of charge.****

When it comes to my pets I am one of those people who treat my pets like they are one of my kids, all of my pets are spoiled and loved.I am always willing to test out fun new products with my pets, especially with my newest cat Hook (the little orange cat) who is 11 months old and is either teething or was a dog in a past life because he chews on everything. Chewy.com sells a wide selection of pet products for all of your furry, feathery and scaly needs, I was recently given a list of products to select from to do a review on and I selected the Temptations Tubs Cat Treats w/ Snacky Mouse, and
Purina FortiFlore.

Right away both of my cats were curious to see what I was doing in the kitchen as soon as the heard the jingle of the cat treats in the tub. As you can see Hook was trying to help himself to some treats but could not quite fit his paw into the hole to get a treat out. The cat treats are very aromatic which is sure to get your cats attention, the tub is has a lid that seals shut when not in use to help keep the treats fresh when not being devoured. The Snacky Mouse actually came with a small bag of treats inside of the box as well, which I thought was nice. The head of the mouse twists off which allows your to add treats to the inside of the mouse, after filling it simply place it on the floor and as your cat knocks it around treats will slowly fall out of it one by one or if you have a toddler it will get shaken and treats will end up all over but that is half the fun isn't it? The Purina FortiFlore I wanted to test out because my mom's dog has a very sensitive stomach and always has digestive issues and I've heard lots of good things about probiotics for both humans and pets so I thought I would give it a shot. So far it has seemed to help he seems less agitated after meal time and doesn't seem to be having any issues with getting sick. I am very happy with both of these products and thank Chewy for carrying both these items plus hundreds more!

Chewy.com Pet Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Chewy for the review free of charge.****

In most families pets are like furry children and as so they can be just as spoiled as human children are, and that is no different with my pets. My cat can be pretty picky when it comes to food and toys, but my dog on the other hand loves anything you want to give him.

I recently received the chance to work with the lovely Chewy.com who offers a wide range of pet products for a wide range of pets including toys, food, medical treatments and more all at affordable prices. For my recent review I received the following products: Purina Friskies Pull 'n Play, Wellness CORE Hearty Cuts Canned Cat Food & Blue Buffalo Wilderness Bayou Biscuits. The products arrived quickly and were packaged well.

The first product I tested out was the Purina Friskies Pull 'n Play which comes with Chicken & Cheese Pull ‘n Play Strings and Original Party Mix cat treats, my cat loves toys but isn't a big fan of cat treats so I was pretty surprised that he ate the treats that came with this toy as fast as he could. Next up was the dogs Blue Buffalo Wilderness Bayou Biscuits which as you can see above the dogs loved them and couldn't wait for me to give them a few more. The Blue Buffalo treats are free of artificial preservatives, colors or flavors, corn, wheat, soy & chicken/poultry by-product meals. The golden pooch named Jack that you see above has a sensitive stomach and has issues with different treats but he had no issues with these treats so they are on our 'To buy' list for him as a brand he is able to enjoy.

Finally I tested out the Wellness CORE Hearty Cuts Canned Cat Food and I am very happy it was a shredded non pate cat food because my cat won't touch anything that is pate. My cat really enjoyed this cat food and I like the fact that it has No artificial preservatives, colors or flavors along with No wheat, corn or soy fillers. I enjoy the variety of products Chewy.com sells because there are tons of brands to select from along with a large amount of different treats, foods, and more. They offer free shipping on orders over $49 which is always a plus.

What kind of pets do you have if any?
