Haunted Fishbowl Giveaway!

 

Every year Target has some fantastic Halloween decorations in their Hyde & Eek line. Last year I spotted the Animated fishbowl & kind of wanted it but didn't get it. This year they have it again & I debated getting it, but ultimately decided to grab one. I posted a short clip of it over on Tiktok & I am not the only one who loves the little skeleton fish, but sadly a lot of people commenting on the video can't find it in stock. It has completely sold out online & it sells out very fast in stores, I checked online & it showed only three Targets within 50 miles of me had a single one in stock. A lot of the fish bowls that are sold end up online at twice the price (or more). I feel bad seeing how many people couldn't find one near them so I promised if I found another one, I would scoop it up to giveaway. Well, I found another one, so here is the giveaway!!!!

I decided to host it here on my blog, mainly because it will be easier to collect the entries & pick a winner since the giveaway platform, I use picks the winner for me. I will include a small break down of how to enter using the form below if you've never used it before plus the rest of the information you need. The form is actually very simple to use & it shouldn't take that long for you to claim any entries you'd like to opt into. For example, you can gain 5 entries for following me on Tiktok & another 5 for following me on Instagram. So just a few minutes of work & you are entered to win this awesome Haunted fish bowl.

The fishbowl can be found at Target for $35, as mentioned though they sell out very quickly - However don't give up hope and keep searching for if your store restocks. It has a setting where it will only turn on if you push the button or you can switch it to the noise activated mode.

Halloween Goodies Giveaway!

Every year I love going to see what new decorations the stores near me have, this year I decided to go a bit early and did a little shopping last month as I had a feeling the stores would sell out quickly. I am glad I decided to do that! Last year I waited until October to shop and almost every store had mostly barren shelves, this year is looking the same as most stores aren't restocking any Halloween goods and are putting out Christmas instead. I think it is a combination of stores just not restocking and resellers snagging all the cheaper goodies which results in the mostly empty shelves. 

I was lucky enough to find a few of the things I was looking for in particular and bought an extra one or two. My best friend and I exchange Merryween boxes that are a combination of Spooky Baskets + Christmas gifts for each other since we live in two different states it is easier for us so a few of the extra goods I bought are headed to her and I also have a few things for two lucky readers. 👻

Storybrook Hollow Giveaway & Review!

When I think about Halloween I think about all of the spooky decorations, pumpkins, cooler weather and fun costumes. There are tons of Halloween decorations for your yard and inside your home, but I find that a lot of them lean towards cute than spooky so I've been on the hunt for props and decorations that are a little spookier because what is Halloween without a few frights? Storybook Hallow is a magical Etsy shop filled with handmade fantasy creations & works of art including unique gnomes, dragons, skeletons and more. 

   
I've always admired the animal skeletons I've seen in the store but they are a little too plain for me because on a lot of them you can tell they are plastic so when I was browsing their shop the raven skeleton prop on a rustic wooden perch caught my eye. It is a full sized Halloween faux-taxidermy raven skeleton prop and it is spooky, neat and unique.The bird is made to look like it has gone through a bit of mummification and is in late stages of decomposition. This raven retails for $75.

This raven makes the perfect addition to my kitchen island during Halloween for all of our guests to see. I generally like decoration the island because it is the first thing you see once you enter our living room/kitchen area from the front hallway so this makes a great center piece and conversation piece. I've been asked what I am going to name him but I honestly have no clue. The Raven is well put together and none of the feathers are at risk of falling off, the whole piece is light weight and well made, and it is defiantly unique, I know I've never seen anything like it.  Their shipping was quick and the raven was packaged just right to keep him safe during shipping. Narley and Chikki Giveaway & Review!

Aside from Christmas, Halloween is definitely mine and my fiance's favorite Holiday and we enjoy showing off our Halloween spirit. We decorate the house both inside and outside, we have friends over to celebrate, we visit pumpkin patches, and more. Up until about two years ago we only owned a few indoor Halloween decorations because we had lived in nothing but apartments so now that we have our own home we love adding new decorations to our collection every year. Last year we went with a spider theme, we had a giant web out-front with giant spiders in it along with spider egg sacks hanging from the porch and more. This year we are going with more of a grave yard theme and one of the things I had pictured having in the yard was a wooden directional sign post.

Looking around for sign posts some we too cutesy and others just didn't seem to have the Halloween spirit, that is until I found Narley and Chikki. Their outdoor rustic Halloween sign post had everything I was looking for, it had Halloween inspired fonts on each sign, it has several different locations that suit how our theme will be and the wood has a nice rustic feel without looking too new or too old it was right in between.



The signs do come with the post needed to set them up in the yard and the wood screws needed to install the signs on the post. Each sign was wrapped individually to help keep it safe during shipping which I appreciate and I know others who purchase similar type products would as well. Each sign is hand calligraphed using black acrylic paint then sealed with a clear matte sealant to protect it from the elements. They each measure 14" and 16" long x 3 1/2" wide, and the post is 3' in height, for mine I will be getting a slightly larger post but this has nothing to do with the shop, my front yard has a layer of rocks and I want this to sit up a bit higher to be seen above some of the other decorations like the headstones.

One of my favorite things about these signs is that they are made from reclaimed wood, so each one is unique and won't look like the next sign which is perfect. Each piece is sanded down and sealed so you won't need to worry about rough edges or splinters when adding the signs to the post. At the end of the Halloween season you can either store them still on the post or they can easily be removed within just a few minutes. This sign post sells for $110 for the signs + post + screws which is a great deal, if the signs aren't suited to what you'd like they have other sign sets for weddings and more plus a number of other wooded and non-wooded products like the giveaway prizes below.
