In The Book; Personlized books for children & adults. My Reivew!

Personalized books
Growing up with a unique name made finding personalized products difficult to find, now with the various personalization sites available you can add your name to almost anything you want. Today I wanted to share a company called In The Book. If you've ever wanted your name in a book, then this is the company you want to visit. They sell a wide range of books (including coloring books) that you can have your name and a dedication added to. The books make fantastic gifts and they arrive in a giftable box. All of their books start at $24.99 and go up from there.

You might think that this website would be just for giving kids a unique gift, but that is far from the case. They have dozens of books that teens and adults would love as well such as football newspaper books, puzzle books, journals and more.

In The Book recently reached out to me about doing a review, and after seeing the selection they offer I knew my kids would love one of their books so I agreed. I personally don't like posting my children's names on social media, instead I use their nicknames so some of the images below will have a little editing to remove their full name from the shot or have something over it blocking the name.

For my daughter I selected a personalized coloring book, She loves to color, draw and create so I thought this would be perfect for her. The cover of the book is personalized to say "Creative Coloring for (custom name goes here)" and the inside of the book will also have the same along with a dedication spot. The dedication section has to be kept short and sweet due to character restrictions but you can still put a lovely dedication on it.

There was a little excess glue on the inside cover of the coloring book, otherwise everything is very well made and put together. The coloring book is thicker and has more pages than I thought there would be, I received the soft cover copy, but it is also available in hard cover.

Every other page will have the customized name you selected interwoven with the images itself, it is pretty neat seeing my daughters name on a hot air balloon or the back of an animal. She was excited to receive this book, and started coloring in it right away. The front cover says it is art therapy for grown-ups, however a child and teen can use it as well. There are a lot of intricate designs that will be fun to color, I am looking forward to seeing what she does with the pages. A soft cover copy will cost $34.99, or if you'd prefer a hard cover it would be $50.99. This is the type of coloring book that will take quite a bit of time to finish, which gets you the most out of it! There are a lot of small details to fill in, this reminds me of a coloring book that I like to color in, it helps calm you to fill in all the little lines and just take your mind off of everything else.

For my son I selected the Marvels Avengers storybook collection. This book is huge! It measures just under fourteen inches high and ten inches wide, the book is pure black with red and gold writing which really makes it pop and feel like a Marvel book. As you can see Groot and Spiderman wanted to be part of the photography process, and who can say no to them?

This book has all of their stories in the chronological order that the movies go in and it has a few dozen illustrations showing your favorite super heros. On the front cover and at the top of every page you'll see the "Especially for (name goes here)" which is marvelous for any Marvel fan! There are two different price options for this Marvel story book, if you select the standard cover it will run you $59.99 and a deluxe cover will be $79.99. I love how this book turned out and that they are able to personalize the cover and the pages, I would have been over the moon to receive books like these when I was younger.

What kind of book would you love to have your name on?

PaRragon October Book Buddy Review!

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by PaRragon for the review free of charge.**

October's Parragon Book Buddies box review is slightly late and I apologize for that! It arrived shortly before my wedding/honeymoon so I am just now getting to it but for those of you who are very excited for the upcoming Disney Pixar film Coco you are in for a treat! Octobers book buddy box features a number of fun and activity filled Coco books along with a special treat which is Olaf's Frozen Adventure. Each of the books included in the October PaRragon book buddy box can be purchased via Amazon, many of them are actually listed a bit cheaper than the suggested retail price on the back of the books. Ready to see what was in the October box? Everything is featured below:

Disney Pixar Friends Forever; Retail Value $4.99. This coloring and activity set features forty four pages of coloring sheets and activities plus four sheets of stickers perfect for ages 5-8. Instead of having an assortment of stickers to randomly put on folders and arms this book has four pages of activity stickers that have a specific spot in the book. The first twelve pages tell a story and are where you will place the interactive stickers, after that you will find coloring pages and games such as mazes. I like that the story book pages are in full color and have a different paper finish than the coloring pages because it makes it seem as though the stickers would be easy to remove if your child were to misplace it. This coloring book had enough of a variety of activity subjects to keep them entertained.

Disney Pixar Coco Mosaic Stickers By Numbers; Retail Value $7.99. This interactive book has twelve pages of mosaic stickers and twenty four pages of blank mosaic images that are each numbered. As a kid I always enjoyed the color by number activities so I knew this was something my kids would enjoy, it says it is recommended for kids ages 8-12 but I think this would be great for younger kids as well because it helps with their coordination and matching skills. Some of the pages are easy and only have a handful of places that need stickers and others are more intricate and will take more patience. I think this would be a great addition to any birthday or holiday gift bag for kids. It is full of color and isn't a book they will finish in a few minutes so it is worth the purchase.

Disney Pixar Coco Sing Your Song; Retail Value $7.99. This coloring book is only one out of two in the book buddy box that did not come with stickers, instead it comes with sixty-four activity packed pages and two pop-out sugar skull masks. This book is suggested for ages 6-10 but would also be great even for kids up until 15/16 because there are a lot of thought provoking activities such as pages that ask you to draw your own adventures, write your own song and set future goals for yourself. This is another activity book in the set I received that will take quite a while to complete and is completely worth purchasing.

Disney Pixar Coco Always Remember; Retail Value $5.99. This fun coloring book doesn't include any stickers but it does come with a cute skull shaped crayon holder with four crayons and is my favorite book in the book buddy box. I really like that most of the coloring pages feature a black background because it will really help make the colors you put on the paper pop. I am actually working on coloring one of the pages myself and will post it on my instagram once I am done. This book is recommended for kids 6-10 and has a lot of fun coloring designs to fill in.

Olaf's Frozen Adventure; Retail Value $4.99. This cute winter themed coloring book features the very lovable Olaf, you will get to join him on his adventures with some of his Frozen friends. It has forty-eight coloring and activity pages, one page of stickers and four crayons for your enjoyment. This coloring book features page after page of adorable illustrations for you to color and fill in and has all of your favorite Frozen characters. This is a great book for all Frozen lovers and would make a great addition to any gift during the holidays.

Parragon Book Reivew! Book Buddies Program.

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Parragon for the review free of charge.****

I always love going out to my mail box and checking the mail because it is fun to see what shows up each day, one of my favorite things to find in the mail once a month is my Book Buddies box from Parragon who sends out a small assortment of books each month for my kids and I to review together. We are a couple of book worms so the kids love seeing what's in the box just as much as I do so we all open it together. The prices of the books vary from store to store, they can be found at Barnes and Nobles plus other locations check their website to see what store closest to you carries Parragon books.

This months theme was centered around activity books which is perfect for us because we are always out doing something so these books will come in handy for car rides, in fact the night we received this box the kids each brought a book with us when we went out for dinner that way they weren't bored while we waited for the food to arrive. What was in this months box?

Paw Patrol Marshall Saves The Day - In the box we received this month this is the only one that is an actual book and not an activity book. My son is a fan of Paw Patrol so he was pretty happy to see this book, it is a beautiful hardcover that has bright colorful pages that are eye catching and the book makes for a fun read. As a bonus this comes with a Marshall key chain, I do wish it was attached in another way though instead of being in the cover itself because it leaves a big hole behind after you remove the key chain.

Peppa Pig Little Piggy Puzzles - This activity book is packed full of Peppa Pig themed things to do such as helping collect groceries, coloring in costumes for George, mazes and more. This is another item that came with a bonus gift which is a small pink straw with a Peppa Pig plastic decoration attached. It has 48 pages and it is easy for a four year old to use which is a big plus especially since they are at the age when they are distracted easily.

The World of Eric Carle press out and play - I think this is my favorite out of what we received this time around, it has 32 pages that have thin cardboard pieces that you color then pop out and put together to create 3D figures. The pieces are very easy to put together and the instructions are easy to understand, my eight year old daughter had a blast with this set and I like that it kept her entertained for quite a while because you are able to play with the animals after you build them. This book included a set of Crayons.

Disney Princess springtime wonders - This book contains 44 pages which are split up, the first half of the book features a number of fill in the scene pages which are in full color and has spots where you can place stickers from the front of the book (50 are provided) which is a lot of fun for younger children. The part of this book is coloring and activity pages, all of which are in the traditional black and white. We counted eight actual activity pages where it asks you to do something, the rest are regular coloring pages. I like that they included an assortment of Princess photos to color in this so there is something for everyone. This comes with a bonus code for a free Disney digital storybook.

Disney Princess color & Activity Daffodils & Dances - 48 pages with 1 page of stickers, with 4 jumbo crayons. My daughters favorite part of this book was being able to design Cinderella's dress because she loves being creative, so we enjoyed the fact that it wasn't just a boring old coloring book with nothing else to do. It has a nice assortment of photos, some have a little less to color than others and some have more which we enjoy. This comes with a bonus code for a free Disney digital storybook.

Pixar Doodle Book - This is also one of my favorite items that came with this months box because of all the adorable stickers it has on the first two pages. It has an assortment of over 100 stickers and it comes with 200+ pages to color, complete and stick stickers on this is definitely a thick book and is the best one for extra long road trips. It has a large collection of the various Pixar characters from older characters like the Toy Story crew to newer characters such as Inside out and The Good Dinosaur.

Disney Princess 8x8 Activity Book Spring Sunshine - This is the smallest out of the set height wise but it still contains 32 pages of fun and is strictly a activity book there are no coloring pages included. The whole book is in full color and the pages look great. It includes two pages of stickers, one page is for "reward stickers" that you can put on each page your child completes and the second page is for what ever you would like them to be on. The back of this book has a pop out play scene that has Princess Belle and woodland creature friends for her to talk with plus this comes with a bonus code for a free Disney digital storybook.

Parragon Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Parragon for the review free of charge.****

My kids love doing all kinds of activities whether it is hands on or in a book if it keeps their minds active and engaged they are happy as can be. When our latest Bookbuddies box from Parragon arrived the kids were ecstatic because every book in this month's box was an activity book. This box arrived just in time because the day after it came was the day we left for our California vacation which meant a long drive so these books came in handy. Want to know what was in our bookbuddy box? The names of all the books we received are below along with mini reviews.

Lots of Dots for Little Hands by Start Little Learn Big -  This is a dot-to-dot connect the dots activity book for ages four to five, but I think a three year old would do well with this also. The thing I like most about this activity book is that it comes with a dry erase marker so your child can do each page over and over again instead of it being a one and done book. None of the numbers go up too high which is nice for kids who can only count to five or to ten. My four year old loves this book and was pretty excited being able to complete each page.

Doodle and Draw Everything by Start Little Learn Big - This is a large activity book with over 150 pages of activities to complete, the age range for this is listed as six to eight. Each activity in this book is half finished and will instruct your child to finish the photo whether it is adding balloons, finishing a dress pattern or adding food to a plate this book is a lot of fun. My four year old son has a lot of fun with this book, he isn't able to read the instructions yet so he asks me to let him know what to do otherwise he does everything all on is own and has a wonderful time completing each page.

Red,Yellow,Blue Sticker and Draw by Start Little Learn Big - My four year old is obsessed with stickers, he likes putting them on his clothing and has a poster board he collects them on in his room so this book was perfect for him because it included over 150 small and large stickers for him to use. This book also includes a number of color and activity pages which are fun and easy for small kids to accomplish. This book is recommended for kids three to six.

The Lion King by Disney - This is a hard cover Disney book that features Simba from The Lion King along with his father. "Simba wants to be a brave king just like his father, but he doesn't expect to inherit the throne of Pride Rock so soon. With the help of his new friends will Simba claim his rightful place in the Circle of Life?" this book has thirty two pages that are sharp, colorful and highly detailed. This book has a little weight to it and is a wonderful addition to any book collection.

Beauty and the Beast collectors tin by Disney - This metal tin comes with a thirty two page paperbook, two twenty-four page activity books, one black and white poster to be colored, a sheet of stickers, and four felt pens. I love Beauty and the Beast so not only was my daughter excited about this set but so was I. I like that the tin can be used as a carrying case/storage case or you can use it to store a number of other things. Everything included in the tin was well made and my daughter has a lot of fun with this set.

All of these can be purchased for less than $10 each, some are listed for less than $5.

November Parragon Book Buddies Program Reivew!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by PaRragon for the review & free of charge.****

My kids and I are all very excited because we were recently approved for the PaRragon Book Buddies program which is a blogger review program that sends a handful of books each month for us to check out and review. Not only does PaRragon sell an assortment of books but they also offer activity sets, and more all at affordable prices and they have a huge selection of books to select from.

The November box came with two holiday books and an assortment of Disney's Moana products. The two holiday books I received were The Nutcracker and The Snow Queen. Both books are beautifully done, the pictures are crisp and the colors are vibrant the imagery will really pull you in and make you want to look at every little detail on each page. It is well bound and seems like a pretty sturdy book, the cover sleeve is removable so you can decide whether you want to keep in on the book or not.

The Disney's Moana products I received are making me extra excited to go see the movie because of all the adorable characters pictured in these books. I received the following books and activity sets: Moana Born to Voyage, Moana Spirit of Adventure, Moana Ocean Explorers, Moana Choose Your Destiny, Moana Adventurer Activities & a Moana Happy Tin. The thing I love most about all of these books is almost all of them come with something extra for the kids whether it is stickers, temp tattoo's or pencil toppers there is something neat included inside each book. Each book not only comes with either stickers or other goods but it also comes with a free digital book download and activities you can fill in. I am very pleased with this selection of books and it gave my kids added excitement towards going to see Moana in theaters. This book selection is great for kids from ages 3+ my son loves all the stickers and the giant activity pad. This book set will make the perfect gift this holiday season for any Disney lover on your holiday shopping list.

Amy's Not Dead Yet Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Amy's Not Dead Yet for the review free of charge.****

I am always on the hunt for unique products that fit with my style, likes and likes of those I know. Many of those likes include popular shows such as Supernatural, Once Upon A Time, ect and I love being able to share them here with you! A huge fan hit is Doctor Who and I've found a great little etsy shop called 'Amy's Not Dead Yet' and she sells Cards & Art for the geeky fan. I was recently sent a few samples of her work which included a Note card, A sheet from her Cthulhu coloring book, two Doctor Who Christmas tags and a few book marks. All of which can be seen below:

The samples arrived in a very timely manner and were well packaged. I highly enjoy the type of paper that was used to make each of the products, it is sturdy yet bendable at the same time allowing a little wiggle room when shipping in the mail. Each print was full of color and well drawn, I was attracted to the shop because of how kawaii and adorable the characters were on each piece of her art work. Cards are $6 each, If you were shopping for cards you might think this is a little high, but in reality it isn't. If you think about it cards at the store rang from $2.95-$10.95 sometimes more for a card that is massed produced and has been given to hundreds of others with the cards from Amy's Not Dead Yet they are hand done in water colors and are quite unique. I personally think the price is one hundred percent worth it for the craftmans ship alone.

So if you have a Doctor Who, Sherlock, Cthulhu, Hobbit or other similar geek show lovers head over to see what you can find for them or even for yourself! The products are exceptionally made, shipping is fast and customer service is fantastic plus the prices are great so you can't go wrong with this etsy shop! Can't find something you're looking for? Feel free to message the shop owner I am sure she would be happy to work on something for you.
