Wireless Motion sensor cat fountain by Uah Pet!

As a pet owner I am always on the lookout for new products my pets may enjoy, one of the things I have been thinking about getting for my cat lately is a cat fountain. A lot of cats like drinking from a running water source such as a sink faucet or shower & my cat is no expectation to that. At the moment we just have a normal bowl for water near their food dish, but I thought if we had a water dish that offered filtered running water it might encourage my cat to drink more water. So when I was given the chance to work with Uah Pet to review their wireless automatic cat water fountain, I knew I had to say yes. This cat fountain can be purchased directly on their website or through Amazon, & you can get a discount on it by using code "LUNAUAH15" during checkout to get 15% off  your Amazon purchase or "LUNAUAH20" to get 20% through their website. The fountain is currently at $39.99 on Amazon (at the time of writing this review 3/9/23).

The instructions for the initial set up & charge were simple and easy to follow. We let it charge for the required amount of time & gave the filter a pre-soak prior to setting everything up. All of the pieces clicked together easily and quickly, so set up was a breeze. Some of the bonuses I noticed right away when placing this down is; It isn't easy to tip over, even if your cat put their front paws onto this to drink it won't tip over so there is no worry about spills. It is battery operated & according to the website it will run for up to 120 days on a single charge, We've only had it set up for a few days so I can not 100% confirm this however I haven't noticed any drops in the battery charge yet and have had no issues with it. Being able to charge this separately from the fountains means there are no wires leading to the fountain so there is no risk of your pet chewing on the wire, tripping over a wire or other wire related hazards.

I also like that it is taller so pets won't have to lean down as far to get a drink of water, my cat seems to enjoy that it is at chest level. There are also two different modes you can set this to, the first is a motion sensor which will detect your cat from 5-8 inches away, it could be due to how open our kitchen is but I have found it to be a little more sensitive than  that & it can detect me from further than eight inches away. The second setting will release water every fifteen minutes which can further help keeping the water circulating & filtered allowing for cleaner water. It does make a very soft noise when on, but most people won't notice it, the only reason I did was I happened to be in the kitchen when it was extremely quiet in the house and could make out the slight noise it made. It holds quite a bit of water as well, so if you go on vacation for a few days you can be sure your furry friend will have plenty of water.

It may take your furry friend a few days to get used to the new fountain, but once they get the hang of it and realize what it is they will start to use it more. My big guy took a little bit to get used to the new fountain in his food area, but seems to be getting used to it now and I've seen him use it a few times. Over all this fountain feels like it will be a great fit in our home! If you feel like your cat could benefit from a fountain like this, or you have a cat that doesn't like drinking from bowls this is a great option to look into. If you aren't in the market for a cat fountain, but want to see what else Uah Pet has to offer they also sell grooming tools, toys, and more for both cats & dogs so check out their website or look them up on amazon.

Dust-free kitty litter from Tuft + Paw!

In my personal opinion the worst thing about kitty litter is when it creates a little cloud of kitty litter dust when you are pouring it into the pan. It gets into your nose & on your clothing leaving you smelling litter even after you are done changing the box. So when I received an email from Tuft + Paw asking if I wanted to try out their new Really Great Cat Litter that is dust-free how could I say no?

This litter really is dust free as advertised. Instead of little bits of clay, sand or crystals this litter is made from soybean byproduct & is in the form of little pellets. The pellets also help prevent you from having litter tracked outside of the litter box since it won't stick to your cats paws and fur as easily as traditional litter. It also disintegrates in water making it safe to flush down your toilet instead of having to bag it up to throw out. One bag of litter will last you for a whole month, you can buy one bag at a time for $29 for opt to get three months at a time for a discounted price.

My cats seem to enjoy using this litter & I find it easy to scoop to clean out. It doesn't have the traditional smell of cat litter which is great for my nose and it seems to do well at hiding most cat smells that escape from the litter box. It is also light weight and I haven't noticed any of it being tracked around the bathroom, plus the low-dust/no-dust is a big help for the cats as well. This is a litter I would think about using again once what we currently have is gone. I also like that it conveniently ships to the house, perfect for anyone who doesn't want to carry around a big container of kitty litter at the store.

Turn your pet into a work of art! Crown & Paw Review.

We are a family that loves to decorate our home with all the things we love from collectables to large photo frames filled with loving memories. It is always fun to add something new to our walls, and when I spotted the canvas prints by a company called Crown And Paw, I knew that they would fit in perfectly. Crown And Paw doesn't sell any ordinary canvas prints, what they sell is a product that is whimsical, amusing and a fun change from a normal photo put onto a canvas. They will take a photo of just your pet or your pet and humans and turn them into works of art. What do I mean by that? See the photo below and you'll know exactly what I mean.

If you've ever seen one of those paintings of cats and dogs as renaissance characters and thought about how funny it would be to see your pet in one, now you can at an affordable price! They used to sell pet only prints, however they recently started allowing customers to include themselves in the photo with their pets as well. To help promote this new addition I was asked to do a combo canvas for my review.

I knew I wanted our cat Aleistar in it as a fun gift surprise for my husband and when they asked me to include at least one person with him, I wasn't sure who to pick. After a bit of back and forth, and talking with my kids we came to the conclusion that it would be fun to have them as the Three Musketeers. We spent some time looking through photos to find photographs where their faces were clear and would work well with the photo. We ended up going with slightly older photos of the kids, but we are happy with how everything came out.

We received a 8x10 canvas of our creation and it is quite well made, I've bought a few canvas prints in the past and they've always come with a open back to where the frame sits on the nail or tacks you hang it up with. This canvas has a closed back, they've added a nice thick backing with a hanger on the back. It feels pretty durable while still remaining light weight and the colors are bold, beautiful and rich on the canvas itself. I think the digital artist working on the print did a good job with blending the images a bit to make it look more natural vs being able to see that it is clearly photoshopped. Depending on the number of pets/people in the print they start at $60 and go up from there, they offer discounts during different occasions so keep an eye out.

If you aren't a big fan of canvas prints, they can also print these images on a number of other products including phone cases, blankets and more. There is something for everyone on your shopping list.

Do you have a pet you would get turned into a work of art? Leave a comment below telling me what kind of pets you have, and what kind of outfit or character you'd love to see them as.

Give your cat a more comfortable sleep with a bed from Tuft & Paw!

When it comes to my cats sleeping patterns they are both polar opposites of each other, our small black cat can usually be found in more private places sleeping behind the curtains, or under the sofa (at night she sleeps next to my feet). Our big man Aleister is a bit different, he has always had a slight breathing issue if he is in the wrong position so he likes sleeping with his head propped up. The only thing is he sleeps in some of the most uncomfortable spots using hard objects as pillows such as my computer chair leg, the metal frame in the bathtub that the sliding glass door rolls along, etc. At night it is a little different, he usually sleeps next to my side of the bed, on the floor using a knee pillow he stole from me as a pillow. I thought it would be nice to try to get him a comfy cat bed with raised up sides to use to a more comfortable sleep so I was excited when Tuft & Paw wanted to work together.

Tuft & Paw sells a variety of awesome products for your cat ranging from fancy kitty litter boxes to comfy beds and scratching posts. For my review I was able to take a look at the cat beds and determine which I thought would benefit my cat the most. At first I thought I might go with the puff which he could lay in yet still have support, but thinking about how large he is and that he generally sleeps sprawled out I ultimately decided on the Kip Cushion in black (it also comes in white), it comes in three different sizes so I went with wide which is recommended for cats over 12lbs. Aleister is a very large cat, he is both lanky and weighs about 14lbs.

Right out of the box I could tell this cat bed was impressive and made with the best intentions in mind for your pet. It is heavy duty, quite cushioned and made with a soft material that is easy to run a lint roller over (or the vacuum) if it gets too hairy. Not going to lie, it is pretty comfy even for humans, How do I know? One of the days the cats weren't using it so I decided to see how comfy it was and sat on it for a short period while playing a video game, and can vouch that it is comfortable.

I like that the bed has a concave inside, because it allows him to stretch out while still keeping his head elevated to relieved the issues he has.

My big guy does spend a little time in the bed when it is near me so I usually carry it out of the bedroom and into the living room during the day. I was pretty surprised with how much our small little Bones enjoys laying in it, she often goes over and sits in it even if it is only for a short period of time, she looks so small in the bed compared to him hogging most of the space. Our cats are a little spoiled, you can see in the first image above that my daughter made a small pillow for the cat bed.

Do you have any pets? Tell me in the comments below what type of pets you have. If you have cats I suggest heading over to the Tuft and Paw site to see what they have to offer your cat. If you pop over to This instagram post you can see a short clip of Aleister trying out his new bed for the first time after it arrived in the mail.

Cat Scratching post shopping with Tuft + Paw

**This was not a paid post. My honest opinions were used, they are solely my own & they may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Tuft + Paw for the review  free of charge.**

When looking for a scratching post for your cat, what should you look for? There are dozens of different brands out there that sell scratching posts so looking for one might seem a little daunting, but if you try to narrow down your cats likes before purchasing a post it can be a big help.

Aleister is a bit of an odd ball cat who acts more like a dog, however he does still like using a scratching pad to help his claws + teeth so I wanted to get him something a little more than just the cardboard scratcher he is currently using. He doesn't usually like laying on furniture in the house, he prefers to be under your feet or laying somewhere on the floor. Aleister use to have a big cat tower, but he literally never used it since he had other spots he preferred to lay so when looking for a post I avoided any that had sleeping ledges and opted for a stand still post with just a scratcher.

Through Tuft + Paw we were sent the Turrim scratching post in Black Bird which retails for $139. It stands at 28" tall which is just the right size for him when he stands up to stretch and scratch on it at the same time. The scratcher came in two pieces, the base and post were wrapped separately in the box along with the hardware to put it together. Putting the base and post together took two minutes, it shows you which side the seam of the post needs to go on, then once it is in place you just need to drill (or screw) in four screws then you are done!

The post is heavy duty and weights about three or four pounds so it is light enough to re-locate to a new spot in the house when ever you'd like to move it but heavy enough that your cat won't be able to knock it over. The post itself is infused with the scent of organic catnip & is wrapped in incredibly durable + natural sisal fibers. It feels kind of like thick carpeting, I was a bit worried his claws might get stuck in the fibers but he hasn't had any issues so far and seems to be enjoying the post. I don't think it is heavily scented with the organic catnip scent as it took him a while to want to use this post but once he did he has used it every day since. The base is made from real wood so it has that nice wood scent to it when you first open it, I also liked that they offered different colors so that you can pick which suits your house better.

If you want something a bit more than just a post Tuft + Paw has several other scratching posts, beds, tress and more all ranging in price and activity level.
