February Beauty & The Book Giveaway!

January always seems to go by rather slowly, and then the rest of the year just flies by. Tomorrow is the first day of February which means that it is time for a new Beauty & The Book Giveaway! Since Valentines day is coming up and the book I purchased for this month is pink, I decided to go with pink and red vibes to suit the holiday mood. I am pretty excited for some coming up posts which include information on events coming to Arizona, some restaurant reviews, product reviews and of course giveaways.

This month instead of a book to read I selected a cute journal (I actually bought two of these, so I can use one in a future B&B giveaway). It has regular lined sections, dotted pages and more. Coloring Notebook Giveaway & Review!

I am a big note taker, I write down appointment information, shopping lists, I write down what I buy during the week to keep track of finances and more so I need a book that is sturdy enough to stand being opened and closed several times. I recently received a package in the mail that contained a unique journal from a company called Coloring Notebook. What is a Coloring Notebook? It is a hard cover journal that not only contains lined journal paper but it also has intricate coloring pages for you to enjoy and use to unwind.





Each notebook retails for $21.95 which seems a bit pricey for a coloring book but this is far from your ordinary coloring book. I really like the fact that this journal/notebook is hard cover, has a elastic closure, includes an attached bookmark and has a pocket in the back for any important papers, cash,etc. The books come in three different paper types which are blank, lined or grid for my review I received the lined notebook. This notebook comes with 176 pages printed on smooth thick paper, fifty of the pages are coloring pages.I also like that this notebook fits into my purse perfectly because it only measures 5.83" x 8.27" so I can take it with me where ever I go including work that way when I have a little free time I can pull out a few colored ink pens and doodle on one of the pages.



All of the coloring pages are highly detailed and will take you quite some time to fully complete due to how many small areas there is to fill in on each page. Some of the coloring pages are single pages and others will cover the page on both side of the book. The nice thing about this is you do not have to color in everything from start to finish you can color it in how you like and use the bookmark to keep track of what page you are on. I really like this notebook and I am sure it will prove useful for many months to come. I have not used any markers in this notebook as of yet but regular ink pens and gel pens go on smoothly without smearing or bleeding through the page. Shipping was extremely quick for a product that was shipped from overseas and it was well packaged.

Knock Knock, Who's there? It's Knock Knock and all of their fantastic and fun products. I love looking for stocking stuffers and small gifts that are not only practical but fun and Knock Knock has a large selection of paper products that suits both of those items on my check list. I am very excited to have been offer the opportunity to work with them on not only a review but a giveaway as well.  After looking through their website I had a hard time deciding on what I might want to review but finally settled on What I Love About Spending the Holidays with You Fill in the Love Journal, A Year of Fortunes & The List Lover’s Notepad Set.





The List Lover's Notepad Set comes with two notepad lists, one is a five day week worth of spaces with an extra space for "next week" so you can list appointments, meetings and more. The other notepad includes enough room for tasks, errands, correspondence and notes with a check mark box for the first three items listed. Each notepad comes with more than 59 sheets and the sheets are thick enough that even if you write on them with a sharpie felt tip marker it won't run through to the next page.

I will be filling out the What I Love About Spending the Holidays with You Fill in the Love Journal to place into my fiances stocking. I think it will be a loving and thoughtful gift for any of your loved ones. It includes things like "You helped teach me about the meaning of ____" and "___ always reminds me of you" it has 50 blank lines you need to fill in, the book is pocket sized so it can fit into a purse or into your back pocket.The A Year of Fortunes is also a lot of fun, it has one fortune for every day of the year from January 1st until December 31st. You can either keep the fortunes inside of the book or you can tear them out if you want to keep that day's to hold onto. My fiance gave me a good idea of just per-tearing all of them out and putting them into a mason jar so I can reach in and grab a random one each day without cheating and looking at the fortunes for the rest of the week. Both journals are extremely well made and pretty sturdy.
