Every year on Halloween my fiance and I like to stay up late after Trick or Treating with the kids to watch horror movies, but what is a movie night without any snacks? I was recently sent a box of various dark chocolate covered goods from a company called Tropical Valley Foods, and they are all wonderful! Who is Tropical Valley Foods? Here is a little info on their company "Tropical Valley Foods was founded
in 2001 by Eric Bertheau. At first, they started with a small production
unit in Haiti, producing only organic dried mango. Dried bananas
followed and gradually they grew to produce a variety of tropical organic
dried fruits."
For the review I received Dried Mango, Dried Coconut, Dark chocolate Coconut, Dark Chocolate Bananas, Dark Chocolate Ginger, Dark Chocolate Blueberries, Dark Chocolate Quinoa and Dark Chocolate Almonds. My family was excited to try all of these out including the Quinoa and the ginger because those are two things we've never tried before. My fiance is a big fan of coconut and dark chocolate so he was excited to see both the dark chocolate coconut and the dried coconut chunks. My family enjoyed all of these products but the top three favorites were the bananas, almonds and blueberries which all went first. The coconut pieces can not only be eaten as is but you can also slice them up to add to salads, marshmallow mixtures and more. Each bag holds quite a bit in it, we are a family of four and the bags
lasted us three to four days if we each just had a few after dinner. In the third photo shown above you can see how the dark chocolate banana pieces look when held in your hand, there is a variety of banana piece sizes in the bag which is perfect for my toddler since he had a hard time biting into the larger slices but loved the smaller pieces. The fourth photo shows the dark chocolate quinoa which is something I've never tried before, I actually highly enjoyed them because they were almost similar to a crunch bar in texture but had more of a coco taste to them. Sadly at this time their products can only be found at local retailers and can not be purchased online unless you are a retailer, however you can contact them to find out what stores near you carry their products. I can personally see this brand being sold in health food stores and local grocery stores in the future because they have high quality and great tasting products, I hope they continue to grow and hope to see them in a store near me soon. Their customer service is friendly, response quickly and always kind when responding to emails.
Prize Alert:
